Description
図1を参照すると、1は機関本体、2は各気筒の燃焼室、3は各燃焼室2内に夫々燃料を噴射するための電子制御式燃料噴射弁、4は吸気マニホルド、5は排気マニホルドを夫々示す。吸気マニホルド4は吸気ダクト6を介して排気ターボチャージャ7のコンプレッサ7aの出口に連結され、コンプレッサ7aの入口は吸入空気量検出器8を介してエアクリーナ9に連結される。吸気ダクト6内にはアクチュエータにより駆動されるスロットル弁10が配置され、吸気ダクト6周りには吸気ダクト6内を流れる吸入空気を冷却するための冷却装置11が配置される。図1に示される実施例では機関冷却水が冷却装置11内に導かれ、機関冷却水によって吸入空気が冷却される。
図11を参照すると、まず初めにステップ60において、炭化水素供給弁15の噴射停止後、煤による目詰まりを防止するために燃料噴射をすべき期間ΔTBが算出される。次いで、ステップ61では、炭化水素供給弁15からの噴射が停止されてからの経過期間、即ち炭化水素供給弁15の噴射停止期間が期間ΔTBを越えたか否かが判別される。炭化水素供給弁15の噴射停止期間が期間ΔTBを越えたときにはステップ66にジャンプし、炭化水素供給弁15から目詰まり防止用燃料が噴射される。次いで、ステップ67では経過期間tXがクリアされる。
図14を参照すると、まず初めにステップ70において、図13に示すマップから単位時間当りの排出NOx量NOXAが算出される。次いでステップ71では、ΣNOXに単位時間当りの排出NOx量NOXAを加算することによって吸蔵NOx量ΣNOXが算出される。次いでステップ72では吸蔵NOx量ΣNOXが許容値MAXを越えたか否かが判別される。ΣNOX>MAXになるとステップ73に進んでリッチ燃焼ガス生成噴射AIが行われる。このとき、NOx吸蔵触媒13に流入する排気ガスの空燃比が一時的にリッチにされ、それによりNOx吸蔵触媒13からNOxが放出される。
NOx吸蔵触媒13からのSOx放出制御が行われる。次いで、ステップ79では、パティキュレートフィルタ14の前後差圧ΔPが許容値PXを越えたか否かが判別される。パティキュレートフィルタ14の前後差圧ΔPが許容値PXを越えたときにはステップ80に進んでパティキュレートフィルタ14の昇温制御が行われる。
図15を参照すると、まず初めにステップ90において、NOx吸蔵触媒13の温度TCがSOx放出温度TXを超えたか否かが判別される。NOx吸蔵触媒13の温度TCがSOx放出温度TXを超えていないときにはステップ91に進んで、機関の運転状態が図7に示される炭化水素供給弁15からの燃料噴射領域WIにあるか否かが判別される。機関の運転状態が図7に示される炭化水素供給弁15からの燃料噴射領域WIにあるときにはステップ93に進んで、炭化水素供給弁15からの燃料噴射WIが行われる。これに対し、機関の運転状態が図7に示される炭化水素供給弁15からの燃料噴射領域WIにないとき、即ち機関の運転状態が図7に示されるポスト噴射領PIにあるときには、ステップ94に進んで、炭化水素供給弁15からの目詰まり防止用燃料B,C,Dの噴射が行われているか否かが判別される。
図16を参照すると、まず初めにステップ100において、NOx吸蔵触媒13への吸蔵SOx量ΣSOXが設定最小値MINよりも少なくなったか否かが判別される。吸蔵SOx量ΣSOXが設定最小値MINよりも多いときにはステップ101に進んで、機関の運転状態が図7に示される炭化水素供給弁15からの燃料噴射領域WIにあるか否かが判別される。機関の運転状態が図7に示される炭化水素供給弁15からの燃料噴射領域WIにあるときにはステップ102に進んで、NOx吸蔵触媒13に流入する排気ガスの空燃比(A/F)inをリッチにすべきリッチ期間であるか否かが判別される。リッチ期間であるときにはステップ103に進んでリッチ燃焼ガス生成噴射AIが行われる。これに対し、リッチ期間でないときにはステップ104に進んで炭化水素供給弁15からの燃料噴射WIが行われる。次いでステップ112に進む。

Claims (4)
- 機関燃焼室内に配置された燃料噴射弁と、機関排気通路内に配置された排気処理装置と、排気処理装置上流の機関排気通路内に配置された炭化水素供給弁とを具備しており、該排気処理装置が、排気ガスの空燃比がリーンのときにはNOxを吸蔵し、排気ガスがリッチにされると吸蔵したNOxを放出するNOx吸蔵触媒を含んでおり、燃料噴射弁からは、機関出力を発生させるための主噴射と、膨張行程後半又は排気行程に燃料を噴射するポスト噴射とが行われ、該NOx吸蔵触媒からSOxを放出すべきときには、機関出力を発生させるための主噴射完了後の膨張行程前半に、燃料噴射弁からリッチ空燃比の燃焼ガスを生成するためにリッチ燃焼ガス生成噴射が行われる内燃機関の制御装置において、排気処理装置を昇温すべく上記ポスト噴射が行われているときに、炭化水素供給弁から炭化水素供給弁ノズル口の目詰まり防止用燃料が噴射されたときには、該ポスト噴射の噴射量が減量されるか、或いはポスト噴射が停止され、該リッチ燃焼ガス生成噴射が行われているときには、炭化水素供給弁ノズル口の目詰まり防止用燃料噴射が禁止される内燃機関の制御装置。
- 上記目詰まり防止用燃料は、炭化水素供給弁からの燃料噴射完了後予め定められた期間経過したとき又は炭化水素供給弁の先端面の温度が予め定められた許容温度以上に維持されたときに噴射される請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 排気処理装置を昇温すべきときには、機関の運転状態に応じて、上記ポスト噴射又は炭化水素供給弁から燃料噴射が選択的に行われる請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 上記排気処理装置がパティキュレートフィルタを含んでいる請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
