Description
被覆電線が、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金製の芯線を備えた電線である一方、防食端子が銅または銅合金製の基材からなる構成としてもよい。
このような構成によると、電線と銅または銅合金製の基材との間で発生しやすい電食を防止することができる。
本発明の実施形態を図1ないし図15の図面を参照しながら説明する。本実施形態における防食端子10は、図8に示すように、角筒形状をなす端子接続部20と、この端子接続部20の後方に形成された電線接続部30とを備えている。図1に示すように、電線接続部30がアルミ電線40の端末に圧着され、図4に示すように、電線接続部30に防食剤50が塗布されることにより、防食端子付きアルミ電線60が構成される。防食剤50は、防食端子10の上方から原液状態で滴下または散布された後、所定時間UV照射を行うことにより固化される。
本発明は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような実施形態も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。
(1)上記実施形態では防食端子10として端子接続部20を有する雌端子を例示しているものの、本発明は、タブ状をなす接続部を有する雄端子に適用してもよい。

Claims (2)
- 芯線を絶縁被覆で覆った被覆電線と、
前記芯線とは異種の金属からなる基材によって形成された端子であって、前記被覆電線の端末が接続された電線接続部を有し、この電線接続部を構成する基材の端部に露出した金属が防食剤で覆われてなる防食端子とを備え、
前記電線接続部は、前記芯線に圧着されるワイヤバレルと、前記被覆に圧着されるインシュレーションバレルとを備えて構成され、
前記ワイヤバレルは、底壁と、前記底壁の両側縁から立ち上がる一対のワイヤバレル片とを有し、前記ワイヤバレルの前端部と後端部を除く中間部分で前記一対のワイヤバレル片を突き当てて内側に巻き込むようにして前記芯線に圧着されており、
前記電線接続部は、前記ワイヤバレルの前端部から前方に開口して形成された前側貯留部と、前記ワイヤバレルの後端部から後方に開口して形成された後側貯留部とを有し、
前記前側貯留部は、内向きに配された前記一対のワイヤバレル片の先端部と、前記芯線の上部とによって囲まれた上面開口の凹形状とされ、前記一対のワイヤバレル片の前端部は、前記前側貯留部よりも前方で、かつ、前記芯線の前端よりも前方に配されており、
前記後側貯留部は、内向きに配された前記一対のインシュレーションバレル片の先端部と、前記芯線の上部および前記絶縁被覆の上部とによって囲まれた上面開口の凹形状とされ、
前記防食剤は、前記後側貯留部から前記前側貯留部に亘って貯留され、かつ、前記電線接続部の上面における最大幅領域よりも狭い領域に配されていることを特徴とする防食端子付き電線。 - 前記被覆電線が、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金製の芯線を備えた電線である一方、前記防食端子が銅または銅合金製の基材からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の防食端子付き電線。
