Description

The present invention relates to an improvement in a vehicle back door, and more particularly, to a measure for preventing deformation due to thermal expansion of a resin door inner panel whose upper portion is supported by a pair of hinges at a rear end upper portion of a vehicle body.

In a vehicle back door composed of a door inner panel and a door outer panel, if at least the door inner panel is made of resin, the door inner panel is deformed by thermal expansion in the midsummer when the sunlight is severe (during hot weather). There is a fear.

That is, as shown in FIG. 12, a pair of hinge mounting portions b are provided at the upper portion of the door inner panel a with a gap in the vehicle width direction, and spaced at the vehicle body rear end upper portion in the vehicle width direction. The hinge mounting portion b is connected to a pair of hinges provided. Further, one end (upper end in FIG. 12) of the damper c is attached to each of the both sides of the rear end of the vehicle body, and the other end (lower end in FIG. 12) of the damper c is on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the door inner panel a. Attached to the edge. Therefore, in the door closed state, a repulsive force (downward pushing force) due to the contraction of the damper c acts on both side edges in the vehicle width direction of the door inner panel a. For this reason, in the midsummer when the sunlight is severe (during hot weather), the door inner panel a extends in the vehicle width direction due to thermal expansion, in addition to the repulsive force due to the contraction of the damper c. 12, the center in the vehicle width direction rises upward with the hinge (hinge mounting portion b) as a fulcrum, and both side edges in the vehicle width direction hang downward. In FIG. 12, e is an opening corresponding to the window portion of the door outer panel, and f is a recess corresponding to the number plate mounting portion of the door outer panel.

On the other hand, Patent Document 1 discloses a back door in which a reinforcing member is provided on the door inner panel to increase the rigidity of the door inner panel.

2)JP 2010-260519 A (paragraph 0017 column, paragraph 0018 column, paragraph 0019 column, FIGS. 1 and 2)

However, if a reinforcing member is provided on the door inner panel as in Patent Document 1, the weight of the back door increases and the cost increases accordingly. In the meantime, when the reinforcing member is reduced, it is difficult to prevent thermal deformation.

The present invention has been made in view of this point, and an object of the present invention is to prevent deformation due to thermal expansion of the resin door inner panel even if the reinforcing member is eliminated or reduced.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is characterized in that the upper portion of the door inner panel is formed in a step shape.

Specifically, the present invention comprises a resin door inner panel having a pair of hinge mounting portions at an upper portion spaced apart in the vehicle width direction, and a door outer panel assembled to the door inner panel. The hinge mounting portion of the door inner panel is connected to a pair of hinges provided at intervals on the top in the vehicle width direction so that the vehicle rear end opening can be opened and closed in the vertical direction, and one end is attached to the vehicle rear end side portion The opening operation is assisted by the extension operation of the damper attached to the vehicle inner side edge of the door inner panel while the other end is repelled by the contraction of the damper when the door is closed. The following solutions were taken for the vehicular back door acting on the vehicle width direction side edge toward the lower side of the vehicle body .

That is, according to the present invention, the door inner panel extends continuously in the vehicle body vertical direction and the vehicle width direction in a region including the hinge mounting portion , and faces the rear of the vehicle body, and the first vertical surface of the first vertical surface. A second vertical surface that extends continuously in the vertical direction of the vehicle body and the vehicle width direction with a gap in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body from below in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and faces the rear of the vehicle body, and the first vertical surface and the second vertical surface A connecting surface extending continuously in the vehicle longitudinal direction and the vehicle width direction between the first vertical surface and the second vertical surface over the entire length, the connecting surface facing below the vehicle body, and The vehicle is characterized in that it is gradually positioned below the vehicle body from the hinge mounting portion toward the center in the vehicle width direction.

An opening (19) having an upper edge extending in the vehicle width direction is formed in a lower portion of the second vertical surface (39) of the door inner panel (3), and the connecting surface (41) It is preferable that the opening (19) approaches the upper edge of the opening (19) from the hinge mounting portion (23) toward the center in the vehicle width direction.

It is preferable that the connection surface (41) has a portion located at the uppermost position of the vehicle body at a position corresponding to the lower side of the hinge mounting portion (23).

According to the present invention, when the door is closed in midsummer when the sunlight is severe (during hot weather), the concave shape of the coupling surface located between the first vertical surface and the second vertical surface is Due to thermal expansion, the hinge (hinge mounting part) tries to go down to the fulcrum, and the center of the upper edge of the door inner panel also tries to go down along with this. The edge is about to jump upward. At this time, since the repulsive force due to the contraction of the damper acts on the edge in the vehicle width direction side edge of the door inner panel, the door inner panel has an edge in the vehicle width direction side. Edge bounce is offset. In addition, due to the downward pushing force by the damper on the side edge of the door inner panel in the vehicle width direction, the center of the upper edge of the door inner panel in the vehicle width direction and the concave shape of the connecting surface are turned upward with the hinge (hinge mounting part) as a fulcrum. As a result, the center in the vehicle width direction of the upper edge of the door inner panel that is about to be lowered is pushed upward, and the upper portion of the door inner panel is not deformed. In addition, the reinforcing member can be eliminated or reduced simply by forming the upper portion of the door inner panel in a step shape, thereby reducing the weight of the back door and reducing the cost.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

(Embodiment 1)
1 and 2 show a vehicle back door 1 according to the first embodiment. The back door 1 is for opening and closing a rear end opening (not shown) of a vehicle body 31 (see FIGS. 4 and 5) of a hatchback vehicle in the vertical direction. The back door 1 includes a door inner panel 3 and a door outer panel 5 assembled to the door inner panel 3. In this example, the door inner panel 3 and the door outer panel 5 are both made of resin. The door outer panel 5 is not necessarily made of resin, and may be made of metal.

The door outer panel 5 is vertically divided into an upper panel 7 and a lower panel 9 in the middle of the upper and lower sides, and a hollow structure extending in the vehicle width direction is formed on the upper part of the upper panel 7 (see FIGS. 4 and 5). ) Rear spoiler portion 11 is integrally projected on the rear side of the vehicle body, and a window portion 13 is integrally formed under the rear spoiler portion 11 almost entirely.

A license plate mounting portion 15 is integrally formed in a substantially central portion of the lower panel 9 so as to be recessed toward the front of the vehicle body, and is extended to an upper end edge of the lower panel 9 above the license plate mounting portion 15. A portion 17 is integrally formed, and the lower end edge of the upper panel 7 overlaps the extended portion 17 from the rear of the vehicle body to join the panels 7 and 9 to form the door outer panel 5.

On the other hand, the door inner panel 3 is a single piece, and an opening portion 19 is formed in the upper half portion corresponding to the window portion 13 of the door outer panel 5, and below the opening portion 19, The concave portion 21 is formed integrally with the number plate mounting portion 15 of the door outer panel 5 so that the opening portion 19 is recessed toward the front of the vehicle body.

A pair of hinge mounting portions 23 (see FIG. 5) are formed on the upper portion of the door inner panel 3 with an interval in the vehicle width direction, and provided on the rear end upper portion of the vehicle body 31 with an interval in the vehicle width direction. The hinge mounting portion 23 is connected to a pair of hinges 25 (see FIG. 5) via a bracket 27 so that the rear end opening of the vehicle body 31 can be opened and closed in the vertical direction, whereby the back door 1 is vertically moved with the hinge 25 as a fulcrum. It opens and closes in the direction.

A locking device 29 (see FIG. 6) is attached to the middle of the lower portion of the door inner panel 3 in the vehicle width direction. The lock device 29 includes a latch (not shown), and the latch enters and exits between the front end branch portions 29 a and engages and disengages from the striker 33 fixed to the vehicle body 31. In FIG. 6, 34 is a trim that covers the vehicle body 31 from the inside of the vehicle.

One end (upper end in FIG. 3) of the damper 35 is attached to each of the both sides of the rear end of the vehicle body 31, and the other end (lower end in FIG. 3) of the damper 35 is on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the door inner panel 3. Attached to the edge. Therefore, the opening operation of the back door 1 is assisted by the extension operation of the damper 35, while the repulsive force (the pushing force downward) due to the contraction of the damper 35 is the vehicle width of the door inner panel 3 in the door closed state. Acts on both edges in the direction.

As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 in an enlarged manner, the door inner panel 3 includes a first vertical surface 37 that continuously extends in the vehicle width direction in an area (upper part) including the hinge mounting portion 23, and Below the first vertical surface 37, a second vertical surface 39 extends continuously in the vehicle width direction with a space between the first vertical surface 37 and the rear of the vehicle body. A connecting surface 41 extends continuously in the vehicle width direction between the lower end edge of the first vertical surface 37 and the upper end edge of the second vertical surface 39 and extends from the hinge mounting portion 23 to the center in the vehicle width direction. It is gradually located downwards while drawing a curve as it goes (see FIG. 3). And by this connection surface 41, the lower end edge of the said 1st vertical surface 37 and the upper end edge of the said 2nd vertical surface 39 are integrally connected over a full length, and the upper part of the door inner panel 3 becomes a vehicle width direction full length. It is formed in a step shape.

In the back door 1 according to the first embodiment configured as described above, when the hatchback vehicle is closed and the door is left outdoors in the midsummer (during hot weather) when the sunlight is severe, The concave shape of the connecting surface 41 located between the second vertical surface 39 attempts to lower the hinge 25 (hinge mounting portion 23) as a fulcrum by thermal expansion, as shown by a one-dot chain line A in FIG. Following this, the center in the vehicle width direction of the upper edge of the door inner panel 3 tends to fall, and accordingly, both side edges in the vehicle width direction of the door inner panel 3 try to spring upward.

At this time, since the repulsive force due to the contraction of the damper 35 acts on both side edges of the door inner panel 3 in the vehicle width direction, the door inner panel 3 is pushed downward by the pushing force. It is possible to cancel the jumping of both edges in the direction.

Further, due to the downward pushing force by the dampers 35 on both side edges of the door inner panel 3 in the vehicle width direction, the center of the upper edge of the door inner panel 3 in the vehicle width direction and the concave shape of the connecting surface 41 are hinges 25 (hinge mounting portions 23). ), And the center of the upper edge of the door inner panel 3 to be lowered is pushed upward, so that the upper portion of the door inner panel 3 can be prevented from being deformed.

In addition, the reinforcing member can be eliminated or reduced simply by forming the upper portion of the door inner panel 3 in a step shape, and the weight reduction and cost reduction of the back door 1 can be achieved.

Further, since the second vertical surface 39 is located on the rear side of the vehicle body relative to the first vertical surface 37, a space between the vehicle body 31 and the back door 1 (a region indicated by a one-dot chain line C1 in FIGS. 4 and 5). This increases the degree of freedom in the layout of the rear end of the vehicle body 31 in the vehicle body 31.

(Embodiment 2)
7 to 9 show a second embodiment. In the second embodiment, the structure of the upper part of the door inner panel 3 is the same as that of the first embodiment except that the structure is different from that of the first embodiment. A common configuration will be described in the first embodiment.

That is, in the second embodiment, contrary to the first embodiment, the second vertical surface 39 is located in front of the vehicle body relative to the first vertical surface 37.

Therefore, in the second embodiment, the internal space of the rear spoiler portion 11 of the back door 1 (the region indicated by the alternate long and short dash line C2 in FIGS. 8 and 9) is widened, and the layout of the wiring accommodated in the back door 1 is free. The degree can be increased. Other effects such as prevention of deformation of the upper portion of the door inner panel 3, reduction of the weight of the back door 1, cost reduction, and improvement of productivity are the same as those of the first embodiment.

(Embodiment 3)
10 and 11 show the third embodiment. Even in the third embodiment, the structure of the upper part of the door inner panel 3 is the same as that of the first embodiment except that the structure is different from that of the first embodiment. A common configuration will be described in the first embodiment.

That is, in the third embodiment, the positional relationship in the vehicle longitudinal direction between the first vertical surface 37 and the second vertical surface 39 is the same as that in the first embodiment, but the connection surface 41 is connected to the inclined surface 41a on the vehicle body front side and the vehicle body rear side. It is comprised by two surfaces with the horizontal surface 41b.

Other effects such as prevention of deformation of the upper portion of the door inner panel 3, reduction of the weight of the back door 1, cost reduction, and improvement of productivity are the same as those of the first embodiment.

In each of the above embodiments, the connecting surface 41 is gradually positioned downward while drawing a curve from the hinge mounting portion 23 toward the center in the vehicle width direction, but the connecting surface 41 is moved from the hinge mounting portion 23 to the vehicle width direction. You may position it gradually below by a straight line toward the center.

Moreover, in each said embodiment, although the damper 35 was arrange | positioned at the vehicle width direction both side edge of the door inner panel 3, the same effect can be show | played also in the case of only one side.

Further, in the third embodiment, the connecting surface 41 has a two-surface configuration of the inclined surface 41a and the horizontal surface 41b. However, the connecting surface 41 may be configured by three or more surfaces as long as the above-described effects can be obtained.

The present invention is useful for a vehicular back door provided with a resin door inner panel whose upper portion is supported by a pair of hinges at the upper rear end of the vehicle body.
