Description
(a)バッテリーケースの中に電極組立体を取り付け、バッテリーケースの周縁部を、その一端部を除いて、熱溶融によって密封するステップと、
(b)密封されていない終端部分を通して電解質を導入し、熱溶融によって同終端を密封するステップと、
(c)バッテリーセルを充放電して、バッテリーセルを活性化するステップと、
(d)活性化中に生成されたガスおよび過剰電解質を、遠心力によってバッテリーセルの前述の終端部分に移すステップと、
(e)終端部分から、ガスおよび過剰電解質を除去するステップとを含んでよい。
(e1)終端部分の密封されていない部分に穴を開けて、バッテリーケースの内部と連絡するスルーホールを形成するステップと、
(e2)バッテリーケースの頂面と底面を、密封されていない部分で互いに反対方向へ引っ張って、真空圧を与えながら同部分を開き、それによって、過剰電解質ならびに活性化中に生成されたガスを除去するステップとを含んでよい。

Claims (15)
- 樹脂層および金属層を有する積層板でできているバッテリーケースの中に設けられた電極組立体および電解質を含むバッテリーセルを製造する方法であって、
(a)前記バッテリーケースの中に前記電極組立体を取り付け、前記バッテリーケースの周縁部を、その一端部を除いて、熱溶融によって密封するステップと、
(b)密封されていない終端部分を通して前記電解質を導入し、熱溶融によって前記密封されていない終端部分のうちの縁辺を密封するステップと、
(c)前記バッテリーセルを充放電して、前記バッテリーセルを活性化するステップと、
(d)活性化中に生成されたガスおよび過剰電解質を、遠心力によって前記バッテリーセルの前述の終端部分に移すステップと、
(e)前記終端部分から、前記ガスおよび過剰電解質を除去するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記積層板が、外部樹脂層を備える積層構造体と、空気および湿気を防ぐための障壁金属層と、熱溶融可能な内部の樹脂層とを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記電極組立体が、巻き型、積み重ね型、または積み重ね折り畳み型の構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記バッテリーケースが、平面図では長方形の構造を有し、前記終端部分が、前記バッテリーケースの1つの端面であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記端面の幅が、他の端面の各幅より20%〜300%大きく、前記端面の終端が、活性化するための熱溶融中に密封されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- ステップ(d)において、前記バッテリーセルが、遠心分離機に、前記バッテリーセルの前記終端部分が前記遠心分離機の内側に向くように取り付けられ、かつ回転され、ガスの全体が、遠心力によって前記バッテリーセルの前記終端部分に移動することが可能になることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップ(e)が、
(e1)前記終端部分のうちの密封されていない部分に穴を開けて、前記バッテリーケースと連絡するスルーホールを形成するステップと、
(e2)前記バッテリーケースの頂面と底面を、前記密封されていない部分で互いに反対方向へ引っ張って、真空圧を与えながら前記密封されていない部分を開き、過剰電解質ならびに活性化中に生成されたガスを除去するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記バッテリーケースの前記頂面と底面が、真空圧を与えながら吸引装置によって反対方向へ引っ張られることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記吸引装置が、前記バッテリーケースの前記頂面と接触する第1の吸引パッドと、前記バッテリーケースの前記底面と接触する第2の吸引パッドとを備えることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の吸引パッドおよび前記第2の吸引パッドのそれぞれが、前記バッテリーケースの外側と接触する接着部分と、前記接着部分に接続され、前記バッテリーケースの密封されていない部分に形成されたスルーホールと連絡して真空圧を与える空洞部と、を備える構造を有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- ステップ(c)〜(e)の少なくとも1つにおいて、前記バッテリーセルが加熱されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップ(c)〜(e)の少なくとも1つにおいて、前記バッテリーセルに超音波振動が印加されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップ(e)の後に、前記密封されていない部分の内側を熱溶融によって密封し、次いで他の外側部分を切除するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜13のうちいずれか1つによる方法によって製造されたバッテリーセル。
- 前記バッテリーセルがリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載のバッテリーセル。
