Description
The present invention relates to a driving support apparatus that performs driving support for avoiding an obstacle.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as such a driving assistance device, an apparatus that calculates an operation amount of driving assistance so as to avoid an area including a current position and a future position of an obstacle is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the above driving assistance device, since the operation amount of driving assistance is calculated on the assumption of the movement of the obstacle, collision with the obstacle can be effectively avoided.
However, when the distance between the host vehicle and the obstacle is large, that is, when the time until the host vehicle is closest to the current position of the obstacle is long, the moving distance of the obstacle becomes large and there is an area to be avoided. growing. For this reason, there has been a problem that the amount of operation for driving support becomes larger than necessary. In particular, when the obstacle moves outside the course of the own vehicle until the own vehicle approaches the current position of the obstacle, there is a problem that avoidance assistance that is not necessary is performed.
An object of the present invention is to provide a driving assistance device that can reduce unnecessary avoidance assistance.
The driving support apparatus according to the present invention includes an obstacle detection unit that detects information about a plurality of obstacles, a margin time calculation unit that calculates a margin time until the host vehicle approaches the current position of the obstacle, and a margin A future position estimating means for estimating the future position of the obstacle when time has elapsed, an avoidance target area setting means for setting an avoidance target area to be avoided by the host vehicle, and a travel route for avoiding the avoidance target area are set. A route setting unit, and the avoidance target region setting unit evaluates a collision risk potential between the host vehicle and an obstacle in a region including a future position, and responds to each obstacle based on the collision risk potential. If the avoidance target area corresponding to a movable dynamic obstacle overlaps with the avoidance target area corresponding to a static obstacle that does not move, a static obstacle is set. A corresponding avoidance target area is expanded .
In such a driving support device, the future position of the obstacle when the spare time has elapsed is estimated, and the avoidance target area is set based only on the collision risk potential between the host vehicle and the obstacle in the area including the future position. The Then, a travel route that avoids the set avoidance target area is set. For this reason, even when the margin time is large and the moving distance of the obstacle is large, the avoidance target area is not widened, and unnecessary avoidance support is reduced. In particular, when the obstacle travel distance is large and the avoidance target area is out of the travel route of the host vehicle, it is possible to select a travel route for which avoidance assistance is not performed, and drastically reduce unnecessary avoidance support. Is done.
Preferably, after setting the travel route by the travel route setting means, the estimation result evaluation means for evaluating the validity of the future position estimated by the future position estimation means based on the current position of the obstacle, and the estimation result evaluation means A future position correcting means for correcting the future position, and an avoidance target area correcting means for correcting the avoidance target area according to the future position corrected by the future position correcting means when the future position is evaluated as invalid. And travel route correcting means for correcting the travel route so as to avoid the avoidance target area corrected by the avoidance target area correcting means. In this case, when the estimation result of the future position is not valid, the future position of the obstacle, the avoidance target area, and the travel route are corrected, and driving assistance that more reliably avoids a collision with the obstacle is possible.
Avoidance target area setting means, when a plurality of obstacles is detected, sets the avoidance region corresponding to each of the obstacle, if the avoidance region each other overlap, one of the avoidance region Expand. For this reason , an avoidance target area corresponding to a movement that one of the obstacles tries to avoid is obtained, and driving assistance that more reliably avoids a collision with the obstacle is possible.
Preferably, the avoidance target area setting means evaluates the collision risk potential based on the type of obstacle. In this case, an appropriate avoidance target area can be set for each type of obstacle.
Preferably, the apparatus further includes a risk pattern storage unit that stores a collision risk potential pattern for each type of obstacle, and the avoidance target area setting unit includes the type of obstacle among the patterns stored in the risk pattern storage unit. The collision risk potential is evaluated based on the pattern corresponding to. In this case, an actual collision risk potential pattern can be stored and an appropriate avoidance target area can be set for each type of obstacle.
Preferably, the avoidance target area setting unit evaluates the collision risk potential based on the direction of the obstacle. In this case, a more appropriate avoidance target area can be set according to the direction of the obstacle.
According to the driving assistance apparatus according to the present invention, unnecessary avoidance assistance can be reduced.
DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of a driving assistance apparatus according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same or equivalent elements are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description is omitted.
First, a first embodiment of the driving assistance apparatus according to the present invention will be described. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a first embodiment of a driving support apparatus according to the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, the driving support device 1 includes an
The
The navigation device 3 is a device that generates surrounding map information of the host vehicle. The navigation device 3 includes, for example, a
The risk pattern DB 4 is a database that stores a collision risk potential pattern for each type of obstacle. The risk pattern DB 4 is configured, for example, in an in-vehicle storage device. Here, the collision risk potential means a possibility that the host vehicle and the obstacle collide. The collision risk potential pattern is a pattern showing the collision risk potential distribution at the reference position and its peripheral positions, with the position having the highest collision risk potential as the reference position. For example, the pattern corresponding to the case where the obstacle is a human is set large in the front-rear direction of the human and small in the left-right direction. This is based on the assumption that the variation of the human location increases in the front-rear direction in which humans can easily move.
The obstacle
The steering angle control device 6 is a device that controls the steering angle or steering torque of the host vehicle via, for example, a steering actuator.
The acceleration / deceleration control device 7 is a device that controls the start, stop, and acceleration / deceleration of the host vehicle via, for example, a throttle actuator or a brake actuator.
The
Subsequently, the
When TTC is calculated, the velocity vector of the obstacle is estimated (step S3). The velocity vector of the obstacle can be estimated from the type and direction of the obstacle, for example. For example, when the obstacle is a person facing rightward, a speed vector of about 4 to 6 km / h facing rightward is estimated.
When the velocity vector of the obstacle is estimated, the future position of the obstacle after the TTC has elapsed is estimated using the TTC and the velocity vector (step S4). Thus, the
The collision risk potential between the host vehicle and the obstacle is estimated to be highest at the future position. Therefore, a collision risk potential distribution around the future position is generated on the basis of the future position (step S5). That is, by acquiring a pattern corresponding to the type of obstacle out of the patterns stored in the risk pattern DB 4, aligning the reference position of the pattern with the future position, and matching the direction of the pattern with the direction of the obstacle. Then, a collision risk potential distribution is generated around the future position.
Thus, by evaluating the collision risk potential based on the type of obstacle, an appropriate collision risk potential can be set for each type of obstacle. In addition, a collision risk potential pattern that matches reality is stored in the risk pattern DB 4, and a collision risk potential distribution is generated based on the pattern, thereby generating a collision risk potential distribution that matches reality. Can do. Furthermore, a more appropriate collision risk potential distribution can be generated by aligning the direction of the pattern with the direction of the obstacle.
Note that the collision risk potential distribution may be generated without using the risk pattern DB 4. For example, the collision risk potential distribution can be calculated by the following equation (1). In Expression (1), the X axis is parallel to the left-right direction of the obstacle, and the Y axis is parallel to the front-rear direction of the obstacle. The origin is arbitrary.
X: X coordinate of an arbitrary point Y: Y coordinate of an arbitrary point Xp: X coordinate of the future position of the obstacle Yp: Y coordinate of the future position of the obstacle σ X : Standard deviation of Xp σ Y : Standard deviation of Yp
Subsequently, an avoidance target region (collision risk potential map) is set based on the collision risk potential distribution (step S6). Thus, the
The avoidance target area will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 shows a state in which the
When the avoidance target area is set, as shown in FIG. 2, a travel route that avoids the avoidance target area is set (step S7). Thus, the
A travel route that avoids the avoidance target area will be described with reference to FIG. 4. FIG. 4 shows a case where the obstacle of the
When the travel route is set, as shown in FIG. 2, an operation pattern such as steering, acceleration / deceleration and the like corresponding to the travel route is calculated (step S8). Then, driving assistance is executed using the steering angle control device 6 and the acceleration / deceleration control device 7 (step S9).
Next, a second embodiment of the driving support apparatus according to the present invention will be described. The structure of 2nd Embodiment is the same as 1st Embodiment, and only the driving assistance procedure which ECU8 performs differs.
The
Subsequently, it is determined whether it is the first process for the detected obstacle (step S12). Specifically, when the previous estimation result of the future position is not stored in the obstacle
In the case of the first process, the velocity vector of the obstacle is estimated as in the first embodiment (step S13), the future position of the obstacle after the TTC has elapsed (step S14), and the estimation result is determined as the obstacle. It memorize | stores in object position prediction DB5 (step S15). Subsequently, as in the first embodiment, a collision risk potential distribution is generated (step S16), an avoidance target area is set (step S17), a travel route is set (step S18), and an operation pattern is calculated. (Step S19), driving assistance is executed (Step S20).
On the other hand, if it is not the first process, it is determined whether or not the future position of the obstacle estimated last time is correct using the previous estimation result stored in the obstacle position prediction DB 5 (step S21). In this way, the
On the other hand, if it is determined that the previously estimated future position of the obstacle is not correct, the obstacle velocity vector is estimated again (step S23). Here, a vector from the current position of the obstacle detected in the previous process to the current position of the obstacle detected in the current process is defined as the obstacle velocity vector. Subsequently, the future position of the obstacle after the TTC has elapsed is estimated (step S24), and the estimation result is stored in the obstacle position prediction DB 5 (step S25). Thus, the
Thereafter, a collision risk potential distribution is generated based on the newly estimated future position of the obstacle (step S26), an avoidance target area is set (step S27), a travel route is set (step S28), and an operation pattern is set. Is calculated (step S29), and driving assistance is executed (step S30). In this way, the
With reference to FIG. 6, a process when it is determined that the future position of the obstacle estimated last time is not correct will be described. FIG. 6 shows a situation where the trajectory from the
As described above, in the second embodiment, when the estimation result of the future position of the obstacle is not valid, the future position of the obstacle, the avoidance target area, and the travel route are corrected, and the collision with the obstacle is more reliably performed. Driving assistance to avoid is possible.
Next, a third embodiment of the driving support apparatus according to the present invention will be described. The structure of 3rd Embodiment is also the same as 1st Embodiment, and only the driving assistance procedure which ECU8 performs differs.
The
Subsequently, TTC is calculated for all obstacles for which information has been detected in the same manner as in the first embodiment (step S32), the velocity vector of the obstacle is estimated (step S33), and the obstacles after the passage of TTC are calculated. A future position is estimated (step S34), a collision risk potential distribution is generated (step S35), and an avoidance target area is set (step S36).
Subsequently, it is determined whether there is only one obstacle (step S37). If there is only one obstacle, a travel route is set as in the first embodiment (step S38), an operation pattern is calculated (step S39), and driving assistance is executed (step S40).
On the other hand, if the number of obstacles is not one, it is determined whether the avoidance target areas of the obstacles overlap (step S41). If the avoidance target areas do not overlap, the process returns to step S38. If the avoidance target areas overlap with each other, one of the avoidance target areas is expanded (step S42), and the process proceeds to step S38. In particular, in the present embodiment, when the dynamic obstacle avoidance target area detected by the
With reference to FIG. 8, the process of extending the avoidance target area will be described. FIG. 8 shows a situation where the
Thus, in this embodiment, when a pedestrian approaches the side wall, a collision with the side wall is avoided, and an avoidance target area corresponding to walking along the side wall is obtained. In other words, an avoidance target area corresponding to a movement that one of the obstacles tries to avoid is obtained, and driving assistance that more reliably avoids a collision with the obstacle is possible. In addition, when the avoidance target area of the dynamic obstacle and the avoidance target area of the static obstacle overlap, the avoidance target area corresponding to the movement that the dynamic obstacle tries to avoid the static obstacle Driving assistance that avoids collisions with obstacles more reliably.
Although FIG. 8 illustrates a case where a pedestrian is detected as a dynamic obstacle and a side wall of a road is detected as a static obstacle, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the case where a pedestrian and a vehicle are detected as dynamic obstacles, and the avoidance target area of the pedestrian and the avoidance target area of the vehicle overlap can be considered. In such a case, the
