Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire that can effectively suppress bears generated on the surface of a vulcanized product tire, in particular, bears generated on a tread surface.
When a raw tire is loaded into a vulcanization mold and vulcanized, a portion (bear) that is not partially molded on the surface of the tire may be generated due to air contained in the vulcanization mold or the like. As an effective means for suppressing the occurrence of such bears, for example, as described in Patent Document 1, a vulcanization mold is provided with a vent hole for releasing air or the like accumulated between the vulcanization mold and the raw tire. It is known.
By the way, if a vent hole is provided in a place where air or the like is easily accumulated, a part of the green tire may enter the vent hole and a vent spew may be formed. The bent spew formed in this way is removed in the finishing process of the product tire taken out from the vulcanization mold, but if there are a large number of vent spews, it takes time to remove all of them. Thus, the work efficiency is deteriorated, and the product tire itself may be damaged during the removal work. On the other hand, when a part of the vent spew remains in the tire without being completely removed, the appearance is impaired. In particular, since treads are partitioned by grooves of various shapes, the efficiency of exhausting air and the like during vulcanization is poor, and it is necessary to provide more vent spew, so it takes time and effort to process the vulcanization mold itself. As a result, the cost of the vulcanization mold could not be denied.
The object of the present invention is to ensure smooth and reliable discharge of containment air and the like, and can effectively prevent the occurrence of bears on the tread surface of a tire without generating so much vent spew. It is to provide a pneumatic tire.
The present invention is a pneumatic tire provided with a circumferential main groove that extends along the tire circumferential direction and periodically changes the groove width on the tread,
A division line of a tread vulcanization mold composed of a plurality of segments is provided at a position where the groove width of the circumferential main groove is minimum.
In another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a tire in which a protrusion that protrudes from the groove bottom and is surrounded by the circumferential main groove is formed in the largest groove width portion where the groove width of the circumferential main groove is maximized. There,
A division line of a tread vulcanization mold composed of a plurality of segments is provided corresponding to the protrusions.
Here, preferably, the division line of the tread vulcanization mold including a plurality of segments is provided at both the position where the groove width of the circumferential main groove is minimum and the position corresponding to the protrusion. Preferably, the dividing line is provided at the center of the protrusion.
Preferably, a plurality of the circumferential main grooves are provided at intervals in the tire width direction.
As a result of repeated experiments and studies on the bear generation position on the tread, the inventor provided the circumferential main groove formed by extending the tire width in the tread and periodically changing the groove width. In particular, bears are likely to occur in the vicinity of the portion where the groove width of the circumferential main groove is the smallest, and in the case of forming a protrusion in the groove of the circumferential main groove, in the vicinity of the formed protrusion. In addition, we have learned that bears are likely to occur. Therefore, by providing a division line of a tread vulcanization mold composed of a plurality of segments at a position where the groove width is minimum, which appears periodically, air in the tread vulcanization mold is sufficiently exhausted from the division portion. It is possible to reduce the number of vent spews by smoothly exhausting air in the smallest groove width part where bears are likely to occur by using the division position of the segment of the tread vulcanization mold. The occurrence of bear can be effectively prevented.
In another pneumatic tire of the present invention, as obtained from the above knowledge, by providing a division line of the tread vulcanization mold corresponding to the protruding portion that periodically protrudes in the tire circumferential direction, the vicinity of the protruding portion is obtained. Air can be sufficiently discharged, vent spew can be more effectively reduced, and work efficiency in the finishing process can be improved.
In addition, when the tread vulcanization mold dividing lines are provided at both the position where the groove width of the circumferential main groove is minimum and the position corresponding to the protrusion, air and the like are more smoothly and quickly supplied. Can be exhausted. Therefore, according to this pneumatic tire, it is possible to sufficiently prevent the occurrence of unintended bears without further reducing the vent spew or without generating the vent spew.
Further, when a plurality of the circumferential main grooves are provided at intervals in the tire width direction, the circumferential main grooves can be connected by one dividing line extending in the tire width direction. Therefore, the structure of the tread vulcanization mold can be simplified. Therefore, according to this pneumatic tire, labor and time required for processing the vulcanization mold can be reduced.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described more specifically with reference to the drawings.
In FIG. 1, 1 is a pneumatic tire, and 2 is a tread of the pneumatic tire 1. The tread 2 is formed with one circumferential main groove 3 that extends along the tire circumferential direction, that is, along the tire equator line CL, and whose groove width is periodically changed.
The circumferential main groove 3 has a pitch from the smallest groove width portion 3a having the smallest groove width to the next smallest groove width portion 3a through the largest groove width portion 3b having the largest groove width. Connected continuously in the direction. Further, in the illustrated example, the protrusion 3c surrounded by the circumferential main groove 3 is formed on the maximum groove width portion 3b so as to protrude from the groove bottom, and each protrusion 3c is formed in the circumferential main groove. In accordance with the periodic change of the groove width of 3, one is periodically formed per pitch.
Further, in the illustrated tread pattern, a pair of outer main grooves 4 provided on both outer sides of the circumferential main groove 3 and extending straight along the tire equator line CL as grooves other than the circumferential main groove 3, and the tire A center lug groove 5 extending outward in the width direction on one side of the equator line CL from a substantially “V” -shaped bent portion located in the vicinity of the equator line CL, and the center lug groove 5 is an equator of the tire. A shoulder lug groove 6 extending on the opposite side across the line CL is provided.
In manufacturing a tire having a tread pattern as described above, a tread vulcanization mold having a pattern corresponding to the tread pattern formed on the inner surface is prepared, and a raw tire is inserted into the tread vulcanization mold. Then, the portion corresponding to the tread of the green tire is heated while being pressed against the inner surface of the tread vulcanization mold. In this case, the side portion of the green tire is pressed against the side mold and heated and vulcanized.
Here, the tread of the tire according to the present invention is vulcanized by a split-type tread vulcanization mold 7 formed by combining a plurality of segments so that the diameter can be expanded and contracted. In the example shown in FIG. 2, the split-type tread vulcanization mold 7 has segments 7 a to 7 h arranged around the center axis of the tire, and the molding surfaces 7 a 1 to 7 a on the inner side in the tire radial direction of the segments 7 a to 7 h. In 7h 1 , a convex pattern corresponding to the tread pattern is formed. Each of these segments 7a to 7h is movable outward in the tire radial direction from the illustrated reduced diameter position. After vulcanization, the segment 7a to 7h is displaced in the radial expansion direction as described above, and the product tire is tread vulcanized mold. 7 can be taken out from inside.
Then, the molding surface 7a 1 ~7H 1 of each segment 7a to 7h, the tread pattern of one rotation of the tire, the small pattern divided by the division line L 1 ~L 8 are formed respectively. At this time, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the dividing lines L 1 to L 8 are arranged at a position passing through one of the minimum groove width portion 3 a and the protrusion portion 3 c of the circumferential main groove 3 or the minimum groove width portion. It is formed at a position passing through both the 3a and the protrusion 3c. In the example shown in FIG. 1, the division line L 1 and L 3 are formed to the minimum groove width portion 3a, the division line L 2 is formed at a position passing through the protruding portion 3c. As I mentioned earlier, but liable to air or the like is accumulated during vulcanization in the area where the protruding portion 3c and the minimum groove width portion 3a, by forming the parting line L 1 ~L 8 into this site, air accumulated Can be smoothly exhausted to the outside through between the segments 7a to 7h. Note that, in the portion where the protrusion 3c is formed, the portion where air or the like tends to accumulate is one end portion of the protrusion 3c in the tire circumferential direction. Since the number increases and the vulcanization mold structure becomes complicated, the dividing line is preferably formed so as to pass through the center of the protrusion 3c as shown in FIG.
Further, even when a plurality of circumferential main grooves 3 are provided at intervals in the tire width direction, the minimum groove width portion 3a or the protrusion 3c of each circumferential main groove 3 is continuously connected with one dividing line. Therefore, the structure of the vulcanization mold does not become too complicated, and the labor and time required for processing the vulcanization mold can be reduced.
In the illustrated example, the outer main groove 4, the center lug groove 5, and the shoulder lug groove 6 are provided as the grooves other than the circumferential main groove 3. However, other than the illustrated example, it can be freely selected. Can do. Moreover, although the example of illustration showed the case where the division | segmentation type tread vulcanization mold 7 was divided into 8 parts, the division | segmentation number can be changed suitably.
As a result, in the conventional tire, it was confirmed that bears were generated in the minimum groove width portion and the protrusion portion. On the other hand, in the tire in which the dividing line is provided at a position passing through both the minimum groove width portion and the protruding portion, no occurrence of bear was observed in any of the two types of tires having different tire sizes.
