Description
The present invention relates to a drive circuit suitably implemented as a drive circuit of an ultrasonic linear actuator made of SIDM (Smooth Impact Drive Mechanism (registered trademark)) and the ultrasonic linear actuator using the drive circuit.
The ultrasonic linear actuator has a structure as schematically shown in FIG. 8, for example, and transmits the expansion and contraction of the
For example, as shown in FIGS. 8A to 8B, by slowly extending the
Such an ultrasonic linear actuator has a simple configuration as compared with a normal Lorentz force type motor or the like, and can directly drive a load without using a speed reduction mechanism. For this reason,
y=−sin(ωt)−0.25・sin(2ωt) ・・・(1)
On the other hand, in order to cause the speed difference in the
y = −sin (ωt) −0.25 · sin (2ωt) (1)
Can be expressed as
The condition for obtaining such a sawtooth waveform is that when the drive frequency is low, the waveform itself must be formed. When the drive frequency is increased to some extent, the primary resonance frequency fr is 0.6. By inputting a rectangular wave having a duty of about 0.3 or 0.7 to the piezoelectric element at a driving frequency fd of about 0.8 times, the sawtooth displacement can be generated.
FIG. 10 shows changes in the moving speed of the driven member when the duty and frequency of the rectangular wave are changed. This graph, in which the shown in FIG. 20 of
Therefore, as a circuit for driving such an ultrasonic linear actuator, there is a
In such a
However, in the drive circuit using the simple rectangular wave pulse as described above, there is a problem that the sound of “catch” is generated when the actuator is started and stopped. Similarly, at the time of intermittent driving by repeated starting and stopping, this “kitch” sound is continuously generated, which becomes noise at the time of intermittent driving. This noise is caused by the slip sound of the
In order to mute the ultrasonic linear actuator using the
An object of the present invention is to provide an actuator drive circuit capable of reducing noise at low cost and an ultrasonic linear actuator using the same.
The actuator drive circuit according to the present invention transmits the vibration of the vibrator to the drive member, and causes the driven member engaged with the drive member with a predetermined frictional force to move the vibrator at a speed of expansion and contraction. in the driving circuit of the actuator for moving by utilizing the difference includes a pulse generating circuit for applying a drive pulse to the transducer, and a control circuit for controlling the pulse of the pulse generating circuit, said control circuit, said pulse generator the circuit at a predetermined multiple of the drive frequency relative to the resonance frequency in the system of the vibrator, and to generate a pulse of the pulse width defined by a predetermined duty, in Rukoto to drive pulse output of the predetermined duty , the engaging portion between the drive and driven members, causing a pseudo sawtooth displacement vibration causing the speed difference, and, at the start of the driven member, stop, or intermittent drive In at least one, maintaining the drive frequency, and the like level of the driving pulse is smaller than the level in the steady driving, generating a pulse of said predetermined duty pulse width shorter than the pulse width defined by by, characterized by also be output from the drive pulse of the predetermined duty.
According to the above configuration, the expansion / contraction of the vibrator such as the piezoelectric element is transmitted to the driving member, and the driven member engaged with the driving member with a predetermined frictional force is applied when the vibrator is expanded and contracted. In an actuator drive circuit realized as an ultrasonic linear actuator that moves using the speed difference between the two, a pulse generation circuit gives a drive pulse to the vibrator, and an engagement portion between the drive member and the driven member When generating the pseudo-sawtooth displacement vibration that causes the speed difference, the control circuit that controls the pulse generated by the pulse generation circuit generates the following drive pulse.
That is, first, the drive pulse is driven at a drive frequency fd that is a predetermined number of times 0.6 to 0.8 with respect to the primary resonance frequency fr in the vibrator system, and is about 0.3 or 0.7. By setting the pulse to a predetermined duty of the order, the phase and gain of the sine wave of the primary component and the sine wave of the secondary component included in the drive pulse have an appropriate relationship, and the relationship between the drive member and the driven member. A pseudo sawtooth-like displacement vibration is generated in the joint portion, and a high moving speed can be obtained for the driven member. The moving direction of the driven member is switched by the difference in duty between 0.3 and 0.7. Next, it should be noted that the control circuit maintains the drive frequency fd in the pulse generation circuit and at least the predetermined duty when the driven member is started, stopped, or intermittently driven. A drive pulse that is shorter than the pulse width specified in (1) is generated.
Therefore, at the time of starting, stopping, or intermittent driving, the charging / discharging of the vibrator is terminated earlier than at the time of steady driving, and noise (slip noise of the driven member and expansion / contraction sound of the vibrator) is generated. Can be reduced. In order to reduce the charge / discharge level in this way, the drive circuit can be constituted by a pulse generation circuit for charging / discharging a conventional vibrator such as an H-bridge circuit and its control circuit. The circuit only needs to change the mode of the signal that controls the pulse generation circuit, and can be realized at low cost.
In the actuator drive circuit of the present invention, the vibrator is a piezoelectric element that performs ultrasonic vibration.
According to the above configuration, an ultrasonic linear actuator that has a simple configuration and can directly drive a load without using a speed reduction mechanism can be used as the actuator.
Furthermore, in the drive circuit of the actuator of the present invention, the control circuit, the control circuit, the amount of shortening of the shortened pulse width is gradually increased during stops, that is gradually reduced from the maximum value at start Features.
According to said structure, the energy added to a vibrator | oscillator can be gradually enlarged at the time of starting, and can be gradually made small at the time of a stop, and generation | occurrence | production of the said noise can be suppressed more reliably.
Further, in the driving circuit of the actuator of the present invention, the control circuit, the control circuit causes the configuration of the pulse of the pulse width defined by the front Symbol predetermined duty at a plurality of fine pulses, the shortening of the shortened pulse width , By changing the density of the fine pulses.
According to the above configuration, PDM (Pulse Density Modulation) is used to shorten a pulse having a pulse width defined by the predetermined duty. Therefore, the pulse width can be substantially shortened with ease of adjustment (that is, the total accumulated time of the fine pulses becomes the shortened pulse width).
Furthermore, in the actuator drive circuit according to the present invention, the frequency of the fine pulse is set to 10 times or more the anti-resonance frequency or the primary resonance frequency fr in the vibrator system.
According to the above configuration, the impedance of the vibrator is the highest at the anti-resonance frequency, and therefore, a large time constant can be formed by the impedance and the capacitance of the vibrator. By setting the frequency, it becomes easy to substantially adjust the pulse width. Similarly, the pulse width can be finely adjusted by setting the frequency of the fine pulse to 10 times or more of the resonance frequency.
In the actuator drive circuit according to the present invention, the pulse generation circuit includes an H-bridge circuit, and the control circuit drives a semiconductor switch element in the H-bridge circuit.
According to the above configuration, when the vibrator is charged and discharged, by using an H bridge circuit, the vibrator has twice the same power supply voltage as compared with a circuit that simply switches between the power source and GND. A voltage can be applied.
Furthermore, the ultrasonic linear actuator of the present invention includes a drive circuit for the actuator, the vibrator that vibrates in a predetermined direction, and one end of the vibrator in the vibration direction. And a driven member engaged with the driving member with a predetermined frictional force.
According to said structure, a low noise ultrasonic linear actuator is realizable.
As described above, the actuator drive circuit and the ultrasonic linear actuator using the actuator according to the present invention transmit the expansion and contraction of a vibrator such as a piezoelectric element to the drive member, and are engaged with the drive member with a predetermined frictional force. In an actuator drive circuit realized as an ultrasonic linear actuator that moves a driven member by utilizing a speed difference between when the vibrator is expanded and contracted, engagement between the driving member and the driven member In generating the pseudo sawtooth displacement vibration that causes the speed difference in the portion, the drive signal applied to the vibrator is a drive frequency fd that is a predetermined number of times the primary resonance frequency fr in the vibrator system. In addition, by using a drive pulse with a predetermined duty, it is possible to drive with a rectangular wave that can be created by an H bridge or the like, and when the driven member is started, stopped or In at least one in the intermittent driving, maintaining the drive frequency fd, and the said pulse of the drive pulse and shorter than the pulse width defined by the predetermined duty.
Therefore, at the time of starting, stopping, or intermittent driving, charging / discharging of the vibrator is terminated earlier than during steady driving, and noise can be reduced. Further, in reducing the charge / discharge level in this way, the drive circuit can be constituted by a pulse generation circuit for charging / discharging a conventional vibrator such as the H-bridge circuit and its control circuit, It is only necessary to change the mode of the drive pulse generated by the control circuit, which can be realized at low cost.
(Embodiment 1)
FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a
Therefore, the drive signal given from the
It should be noted that the
FIG. 2 shows the relationship between the control logic of the MOSFETs Q1 to Q4 by the
Therefore, at the time of starting, stopping, or intermittent driving, charging / discharging of the
Further, when the driven
Furthermore, when charging / discharging the

FIG. 6 shows the impedance characteristics of the piezoelectric element. As shown in FIG. 7, the piezoelectric element has an L, R, C series resonance circuit and a parallel resonance circuit in which a parallel capacitance C0 is added thereto. As shown in FIG. 6, at the resonance point (fr), the impedance of the L, R, C series resonance circuit is small, and is large at the antiresonance point (fr '). Therefore, when the anti-resonance frequency fr is used as the frequency fa of the drive signals S11 to S14, the time constant with the capacitance C0 of the
Returning to FIG. 4 again, first, at the rise time t11 of the first drive pulse, the drive signals S11 and S14 applied to the MOSFETs Q1 and Q4 become low level and high level pulses, respectively, and both are turned on. The drive signals S12 and S13 applied to are kept at the low level and the high level, respectively, and both are turned off, and the
Next, at the rise time t21 of the second drive pulse, the drive signals S11 and S14 given to the MOSFETs Q1 and Q4 again are given three low level and high level pulses, respectively, and both are turned ON. The drive signals S12 and S13 given to the MOSFETs Q2 and Q3 are maintained at the low level and the high level, respectively, and both are turned off. The electric charge of the other polarity is extracted from the
Even with this configuration, the amount of charge supplied to the
