Description
The present invention relates to a total reflection spectroscopic measurement apparatus using a terahertz wave.
Conventionally, as a technique related to a total reflection spectroscopic measurement method using a terahertz wave, there is a total reflection spectroscopic measurement apparatus described in
By the way, when using the integrated prism as described above, it is important to position the terahertz wave generating element with respect to the incident surface of the internal total reflection prism and to position the terahertz wave detecting element with respect to the exit surface. In particular, when a nonlinear optical crystal is used as the terahertz wave generating element and when an electro-optic crystal is used as the terahertz wave detecting element, it is necessary to appropriately select the azimuth angle of each crystal with respect to the polarization of the laser light (for example, non- (See
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-mentioned problems. The total reflection spectroscopy enables the crystal orientation to be aligned with the polarization of the laser beam with a simple configuration and obtains an appropriate spectroscopic measurement result. It aims at providing a measuring device.
In order to solve the above problems, a total reflection spectroscopic measurement device according to the present invention includes a light source that emits laser light, a branching unit that branches the laser light emitted from the light source into pump light and probe light, and a branching unit. It has a terahertz wave generation nonlinear optical crystal that generates terahertz waves by the incidence of branched pump light, and a terahertz wave entrance surface and an exit surface. The terahertz waves incident from the entrance surface are propagated inside and all reflected on the reflection surface. The internal total reflection prism that is reflected and output from the output surface, the terahertz wave output from the output surface of the internal total reflection prism, and the probe light branched at the branching portion are incident, and the correlation between the terahertz wave and the probe light And a terahertz wave detecting electro-optic crystal for detecting terahertz information on an optical constant of an object to be measured disposed on the reflection surface of the total internal reflection prism. A total reflection spectroscopic measurement device that acquires the evanescent component of the terahertz wave generated at the time of total internal reflection, and includes a nonlinear optical crystal and an electric current on the incident surface and the output surface of the internal total reflection prism with respect to the polarization of the laser light. Step portions for determining the azimuth angle of the optical crystal are provided, and the non-linear optical crystal for generating the terahertz wave is fixed to the incident surface while being abutted against the step portion, and the electro-optical crystal for detecting the terahertz wave is Further, it is characterized in that it is fixed to the emission surface in a state of being abutted against the stepped portion.
In this total reflection spectroscopic measurement device, the azimuth angle of the nonlinear optical crystal for generating the terahertz wave with respect to the polarization of the pump light on the incident surface of the internal total reflection prism is determined by abutting on the stepped portion, and the terahertz wave on the output surface and The azimuth angle of the terahertz wave detecting electro-optic crystal with respect to the polarization of the probe light can be accurately determined with a simple configuration. Thereby, it becomes possible to adjust the polarization condition of the terahertz wave with respect to the total reflection surface as set, and an appropriate spectroscopic measurement result can be obtained.
Further, it is preferable that an optical surface for collimating the terahertz wave generated by the terahertz wave generating nonlinear optical crystal toward the reflecting surface is provided between the incident surface and the reflecting surface of the internal total reflection prism. . Thereby, the terahertz wave generated in the nonlinear optical crystal for generating the terahertz wave can be incident on the reflecting surface without diverging.
Further, an optical surface for condensing the terahertz wave totally reflected by the reflecting surface toward the terahertz wave detecting electro-optic crystal is further provided between the reflecting surface and the emitting surface of the internal total reflection prism. preferable. As a result, the intensity of the detection signal in the terahertz wave detecting electro-optic crystal can be more sufficiently secured.
According to the total reflection spectroscopic measurement apparatus according to the present invention, the crystal orientation can be matched with the polarization of the laser light with a simple configuration, and an appropriate spectroscopic measurement result can be obtained.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of a total reflection spectroscopic measurement apparatus according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an embodiment of a total reflection spectroscopic measurement apparatus according to the present invention. As shown in the figure, a total reflection
The
On the other hand, a
The
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, on the bottom surface of the internal
As the terahertz wave generating nonlinear
In fixing the terahertz wave generating nonlinear
On the basis of this, as shown in FIG. 4, when the stepped
The terahertz wave generating nonlinear
In addition to the adhesive, a transparent wax is melted and solidified at the wavelength of the terahertz wave T, and the terahertz wave generating nonlinear
As shown in FIG. 1, the
When the terahertz wave T and the
The data analysis unit 6 is a part that performs data analysis processing of total reflection spectroscopic measurement based on, for example, a dedicated analysis program of the total reflection
FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing a procedure for deriving the optical constant of the
As shown in FIG. 6, first, reference measurement and sample measurement are performed using the total reflection spectroscopic measurement apparatus 1 (steps S01 and S02). In the reference measurement, a substance (for example, air) whose optical constant is known is measured, and in the sample measurement, a substance whose optical constant is desired to be measured is measured. Then, a reference amplitude R ref , a reference phase Φ ref , a sample amplitude R sig , and a sample phase Φ sig are respectively obtained by performing Fourier transform on the reference measurement result T ref and the sample measurement result T sig (step S03).
As described above, in the total reflection
As a result, the generation efficiency of the terahertz wave T generated by the nonlinear
