Conventionally, a wiring board on which a semiconductor chip such as a CPU is mounted is known (for example, see Patent Document 1 below). In general, many chip capacitors functioning as so-called decoupling capacitors are mounted on the surface of a wiring board. For this reason, when attaching a member (stiffener) for reinforcing the wiring board to the wiring board, it is necessary to avoid a place where the chip capacitor is disposed, and it is difficult to save space and simplify the manufacturing process. It was. On the other hand, there is an increasing demand for higher functionality of the wiring board, and there is a demand for improving the expandability of the wiring board. Such problems and demands are not limited to wiring boards for mounting semiconductor chips, but are generally common to wiring boards for mounting chip components.

A. First embodiment:
A1. Wiring board configuration:
FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram showing a configuration of a
The
The
The
The reinforcing
In the present embodiment, the reinforcing
Further, a
Further, a terminal 134 for electrically connecting to an external circuit is provided on the
Furthermore, a via
As a method for manufacturing the reinforcing
In addition, as a method for forming the
Thus, in the first embodiment, since the
A2. Step of attaching the reinforcing member 130:
FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram illustrating an example of a process of attaching the reinforcing
FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram illustrating another example of the process of attaching the reinforcing
B. Second embodiment:
FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing the configuration of the
FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram showing a state in which electronic components are connected to the
As described above, according to the second embodiment, the same effects as those of the first embodiment can be obtained, and an electronic component such as a temperature sensor can be attached to the
