Claims (12)
- 体外開口部から身体内部管腔の組織によって画定された身体開口部への経路を形成するための医療装置であって、
収縮形態と拡張形態の間で操作できる拡張可能な部材と、
前記経路を形成するのに適した長さを有する柔軟なシースであって、前記シースの遠位部は前記拡張可能な部材に連結され、前記シースはその長さの多くの部分に亘って折り畳み可能且つ収縮形態と拡張形態の間で操作可能なシースと、を備え、
前記拡張可能な部材は第1、第2及び第3のケージを含み、前記第2のケージは前記第1と第3のケージを連結し、且つ前記第1と第3のケージを隔置するために、前記第1と第3のケージの間で長手方向に延在する複数のストランドを含む、医療装置。 - 前記シースが、前記収縮形態で当該シース自体に折り重なる、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記シースがその拡張形態で拡張直径を有しており、前記拡張可能な部材がその拡張形態で拡張直径を有しており、前記シースの前記拡張直径が前記拡張可能な部材の前記拡張直径にほぼ等しい、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記拡張可能な部材が、前記拡張可能な部材と前記シースの拡張形態において、前記シースに放射状に外へ向かう力を加えており、前記放射状に外へ向かう力が、前記シースの遠位端を前記組織に取り付けるのに十分である、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記拡張可能な部材が、第1の円錐部分に連結した円筒状部分を有する、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記シースの前記遠位部が前記拡張可能な部材の遠位端に連結されている、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記シースの前記遠位部が、前記遠位部の中に前記拡張可能な部材を包み込むように前記拡張可能な部材の遠位端を取り囲んでいる、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記拡張可能な部材が、少なくとも1本のワイヤと、前記少なくとも1本のワイヤを包み込むコーティングとを含んでおり、前記コーティングはリップを画定するために前記少なくとも1本のワイヤの近位端を越えて延在し、前記シースの遠位端は前記コーティングの前記リップに接着されている、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 体外開口部から身体内部管腔の組織によって画定された身体開口部への経路を形成するための医療システムであって、
外側カテーテルルーメンを画定している外側カテーテルと、
連結部材と柔軟なシースとを備える医療装置であって、前記柔軟なシースはシースルーメンを画定し且つ前記経路を形成するのに適した長さを有し、前記シースは前記連結部材に連結された遠位部を有し、前記シースは収縮形態と拡張形態の間で操作可能であり、前記シースの収縮形態は前記外側カテーテルルーメン内に収容できる大きさである医療装置と、
前記シースの前記収縮形態の状態で前記シースルーメン内に収容できる大きさの内側カテーテルであって、前記シースを把持するために前記内側カテーテルの外側周辺に配置された複数の把持部材を有する内側カテーテルと、
を備える、医療システム。 - 前記複数の把持部材が前記内側カテーテルの長さに沿って長手方向に隔置されている、請求項9に記載の医療システム。
- 前記複数の把持部材は前記内側カテーテルの外面に接着されたエラストマーリングによってそれぞれ形成されている、請求項9に記載の医療システム。
- 前記内側カテーテルが、内側カテーテルルーメンを画定し、さらに前記内側カテーテルルーメン内に収容できる大きさであるガイディングカテーテルを備えており、前記ガイディングカテーテルがワイヤーガイドを収容できる大きさのガイディングルーメンを画定している、請求項9に記載の医療システム。
