Description
PTMSPは、硬い骨格鎖とトリメチルシリル側鎖とを組み合わせた置換ポリアセチレンである。これらの嵩高基は、回転運動を制限し、一緒に詰め込むポリマーの能力を制限する。PTMSPは、非常に高いフリーボリュームフラクション(最大25%)を有する、疎水性のガラス状ポリマー(Tg>300℃)であり、本質的にナノレベルの細孔を有している。PTMSPは、ガス分離用途について、最も研究されているポリマーの一つである。PTMSP系ガス分離膜は、すでにDeSitterら(「シリカ充填したポリ(1−トリメチルシリル−1−プロピン)ナノコンポジット膜:ガスの輸送と構造特性の関係」、Journal of Membrane Science278巻(2006年)、83−91頁)に開示されていて、ここには、充填された高分子膜の作製方法が説明されている。非多孔質PTMSP膜は、水性アルコール混合物のパーベーパレーション分離にも適用されていて、そして最近では、アルコール供給溶液のナノろ過にも適用されてきた。しかし、これらの緻密PTMSP膜は、一般に透過流束が低かった。WO2009/027376は、多孔質ポリアクリロニトリルの基体上に、厚み約30μmで形成されたPTMSP層を設けている。

ここで、mは、単位膜面積A及び濾過時間tあたりの透過重量を表す。
分離係数α(エタノール/H2O)は、次の式に従って算出した。
式中、X及びYは、それぞれ、保持液及び透過液における重量分率を表す。ある複合形状(composite figure)の利点について透過流束及び分離係数を要約するために、パーベーパレーション分離指数(PSI)を、次式を用いて計算した。
PSI=J(α−1)
分離係数が1(unity)の値のときは、分離が起きないので、PSIがゼロであることに気づくであろう。
Claims (16)
- 多孔質支持体上に、凝集体を充填したポリ(1−トリメチルシリル−1−プロピン)(PTMSP)被膜を備えたパーベーパレーション膜であって、前記凝集体は非多孔質のナノ粒子であり、前記凝集体を充填したポリ(1−トリメチルシリル−1−プロピン)被膜の平均厚みは25μm以下であるパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記多孔質支持体は、多孔質ポリアクリロニトリル膜又は多孔質ポリビニリデンフルオライド膜である請求項1に記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記多孔質支持体は、多孔質ポリアクリロニトリル膜であって、前記凝集体充填ポリ(1−トリメチルシリル−1−プロピン)被膜の平均厚みは2〜25μmである請求項2に記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記多孔質支持体は、多孔質ポリビニリデンフルオライド膜であって、前記凝集体充填ポリ(1−トリメチルシリル−1−プロピン)被膜の平均厚みは0.5〜25μmである請求項2に記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記凝集体は、平均粒径サイズが50nm以上200nm以下のナノ粒子である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記凝集体は、シリカ又は金属酸化物粒子の凝集体である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記膜を通過するエタノール及び水の混合物の透過流束は、2.0kg/(m2・h)以上である請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記パーベーパレーション膜のエタノール/水分離係数(separation factor)は、7以上である請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 前記パーベーパレーション膜は、さらに別の支持体を含んでいる請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のパーベーパレーション膜。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1つのパーベーパレーション膜の製造方法であって、
前記方法は、乾燥後の前記被膜の平均厚みが25μm以下となるように、凝集体が充填されたポリ(1−トリメチルシリル−1−プロピン)(PTMSP)溶液で多孔質支持体をコートする工程を含む方法。 - (a)凝集体が充填されたPTMSP溶液で多孔質支持体をコートする工程;
(b)前記多孔質支持体上にコートされた、前記PTMSP溶液を、20〜75℃範囲の温度で8時間以上蒸発させ、これにより、該多孔質支持体上に、非多孔質ナノ粒子である凝集体が充填された平均厚み25μm以下の凝集体充填PTMSP被膜を備えたパーベーパレーション膜を提供する工程
を含むパーベーパレーション膜の製造方法。 - 工程(b)のパーベーパレーション膜は、熱処理され、これにより残留溶媒を除去する請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記被膜の平均厚みは、15μm以下である請求項10〜12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- パーベーパレーション又はナノ濾過による成分混合物の分離装置であって、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のパーベーパレーション膜を含む装置。
- パーベーパレーション又はナノ濾過による成分混合物を分離するプロセスにおける、請求項1〜9のいずれかのパーベーパレーション膜の使用。
- 前記成分混合物は、水及びアルコールの混合物であって、前記プロセスにおける成分混合物を、アルコールリッチ画分とアルコールプア画分とに分離する請求項15に記載の使用。
