Description
本願は、「分割可能なワイヤガイド(Splittable Wire Guide)」と題される2006年12月22日に出願された米国仮特許出願第60/876,730号の利益を主張し、その内容全体は参照により本明細書に援用される。
Claims (15)
- 哺乳動物の患者に導入するように構成された分割可能なワイヤガイドであって、
細長シャフトを有する第1のワイヤガイド部材と、
細長シャフトを有する第2のワイヤガイド部材と、
を備え、前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトと前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトとが、当該ワイヤガイドの長手軸線に沿って相互に隣接するようにして一体的に結合されており、
前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトと前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトのそれぞれに、前記ワイヤガイドの前記長手軸線を横断する方向で且つ互いに離れる反対向きの力を加えることによって、前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトと前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトとが前記横断する方向で分離可能とされ、
前記第1のワイヤガイド部材及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の少なくとも一方が、細長医療器具のルーメンを通じて摺動自在に移動するように構成された、分割可能なワイヤガイド。 - 分離部材を利用することにより、前記第1のワイヤガイド部材及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材に対して前記反対向きの力を加えるようにされた、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記分離部材が、少なくとも部分的にルーメンが貫通している細長カテーテルを備え、前記第1のワイヤガイド部材及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材のうち一方が、前記ルーメンを通じて配置される、請求項2に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材のうち一方が雌型キー溝を備え、且つ他方が雄型キーを備え、前記雄型キーが前記雌型キー溝と分離可能に係合している、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の各々が、コア部材と分離可能に係合する雌型キー溝を備える、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記コア部材が、前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフト及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトに対して長手方向に移動可能である、請求項5に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトが、前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトに対して長手方向に移動可能である、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材のうち一方が雌型キー溝を備え、且つ他方が雄型キーを備え、前記雄型キーが前記雌型キー溝に沿って長手方向に移動可能である、請求項7に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトが、前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトの断面積と異なる断面積を備える、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトが、前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトの硬さと異なる硬さを備える、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- シャフトを有する第3のワイヤガイド部材をさらに備え、前記第3のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトが、前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフト及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトの少なくとも一方と分離可能に連結されている、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材、前記第2のワイヤガイド部材、及び前記第3のワイヤガイド部材の各々が、コア部材と分離可能に係合する雌型キー溝を備える、請求項11に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記コア部材が、前記第1のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフト、前記第2のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフト、及び前記第3のワイヤガイド部材の前記シャフトに対して長手方向に移動可能である、請求項12に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記第1のワイヤガイド部材及び前記第2のワイヤガイド部材のうち少なくとも一方が、細長医療器具のルーメンを通じて摺動自在に配置されている、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
- 前記細長医療器具が、医療用カテーテルを備える、請求項1に記載の分割可能なワイヤガイド。
