Description
一方の面が表示面である第1の基材と、前記第1の基材の前記表示面とは反対側の対向面に形成された第1の抵抗層と、前記第1の抵抗層の表面に形成された第1のエレクトロクロミック層と、前記第1の基材と高さ方向に間隔を空けて対向する第2の基材と、前記第2の基材の前記第1の基材に対向する対向面に形成された第2の抵抗層と、前記第1のエレクトロクロミック層の表面と前記第2の抵抗層との間に設けられた電解質層と、を有し、
前記第1の基材の前記対向面と前記第2の基材の前記対向面は、互いに直交するX軸とY軸を含むX−Y平面と平行な平面であり、
前記第1の抵抗層に複数の第1の電極が接続され、X方向に対向して対を成す前記第1の電極が複数対とY方向に対向して対を成す前記第1の電極の複数対とが設けられ、前記第2の抵抗層には、それぞれの前記第1の電極と高さ方向に対向する複数の第2の電極が接続されており、
前記第1の抵抗層に電圧勾配が生じるように、対向する前記第1の電極間に電圧が印加され、前記第1の抵抗層とは逆の電圧勾配を前記第2の抵抗層に生じさせるように、対向する前記2の電極間に電圧が印加されることを特徴とするものである。

Claims (3)
- 一方の面が表示面である第1の基材と、前記第1の基材の前記表示面とは反対側の対向面に形成された第1の抵抗層と、前記第1の抵抗層の表面に形成された第1のエレクトロクロミック層と、前記第1の基材と高さ方向に間隔を空けて対向する第2の基材と、前記第2の基材の前記第1の基材に対向する対向面に形成された第2の抵抗層と、前記第1のエレクトロクロミック層の表面と前記第2の抵抗層との間に設けられた電解質層と、を有し、
前記第1の基材の前記対向面と前記第2の基材の前記対向面は、互いに直交するX軸とY軸を含むX−Y平面と平行な平面であり、
前記第1の抵抗層に複数の第1の電極が接続され、X方向に対向して対を成す前記第1の電極が複数対とY方向に対向して対を成す前記第1の電極の複数対とが設けられ、前記第2の抵抗層には、それぞれの前記第1の電極と高さ方向に対向する複数の第2の電極が接続されており、
前記第1の抵抗層に電圧勾配が生じるように、対向する前記第1の電極間に電圧が印加され、前記第1の抵抗層とは逆の電圧勾配を前記第2の抵抗層に生じさせるように、対向する前記2の電極間に電圧が印加されることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記第1の抵抗層の平面視が四角形で、前記第1の電極が、前記四角形の四隅と、隣り合う隅の中間位置の計8箇所に設けられ、前記第1の電極に対向する第2の電極も計8か所に設けられている請求項1記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2の抵抗層の表面に第2のエレクトロクロミック層が形成され、前記第1のエレクトロクロミック層と前記第2のエレクトロクロミック層との間に前記電解質層が設けられる請求項1又は2に記載の表示装置。
