Claims (11)
- 保持板(6)を軸受(1)の外レース上に取り付ける工程を有し、これにより、その後、前記軸受(1)が軸受ハウジング(2)に嵌め込まれると、軸受は、軸受ハウジング(2)が形成されるところのケーシング(3)と前記保持板(6)の間で作用する締結手段(9)によって固定される保持板(6)によって軸方向に保持される、軸受アセンブリの形成方法であって、
前記軸受(1)の外レースの外端縁上に肩部を形成する工程と、
前記肩部に溝を形成する工程と、
ストリップ材に穴を打ち抜くことにより前記保持板(6)を形成する工程と、
前記穴の周りの円弧における前記保持板(6)上に、固定縁部を打ち抜く工程と、
前記保持板(6)の前記穴を前記肩部上に位置決めすることで、当該保持板(6)を前記外レースに対し回転するように外レース上に取り付けられる工程とを有する、
軸受アセンブリの形成方法。 - 新たに形づくられた固定縁部(17)が前記溝と係合して形成されるように、固定縁部(17)をかしめるため、前記保持板(6)を、前記外レースに向かって軸方向に押圧する固定縁部工程と
を有する、請求項1に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。 - 前記穴の円周の部分の周りに、周方向に間隔を置く複数の固定縁部(17)を形成する工程を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
- 前記固定縁部(17)は、前記穴の周りに、該穴の周長の10%と30%の間の総弧長で弧の周りに形成される請求項3に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
- 締結手段は、保持板(6)内に形成される請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
- 前記締結手段は、前記穴の周りに、複数のボスを前記保持板に打ち抜くことによって形成される請求項5に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
- 保持板の本体とボスとの間に形成される曲率半径が下記の式を満たす請求項6に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。

但し、Aは0.3と0.7の間の値であり、かつ、前記保持板(6)が形成される材料は、ボスの弧状部分が荷重下で加工硬化して、高い局部的引張強度を有する領域を生ずるようにするため、0.35を超える高い歪み硬化係数を持つものとする。 - 前記保持板が形成される材料は、等級304のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼から選択される請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
- 締結工具が他の構成要素と前記保持板(6)との間で操作できない程度に、軸(4)上に前記構成要素が近接している状態で、組み立てられた軸受(1)および保持板(6)を軸(4)で支承させる工程を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
- 前記軸受(1)は、軸(4)で支承され、かつ、ケーシング(3)に形成された軸受ハウジング(2)内に挿入され、締結具は、ケーシング3を貫通して、保持板(6)に形成された締結手段と係合する請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
- 前記締結具は、ねじである請求項10に記載の軸受アセンブリの形成方法。
