Description
The present invention uses a slide mold and a movable mold, and injects a molten resin into a cavity constituted by a concave portion of the slide mold and a core of the movable mold, thereby injection-molding a base material. The surface of the base material is injected by injecting paint into a gap for forming a coating film formed by an injection process and the surface of the base material formed by the injection process and remaining in the core and the other concave portion of the slide mold. The present invention relates to a production method for producing a molded article having a coating film from a coating film forming step for forming a coating film on the substrate and a mold for production.
As is well known in the art, an injection molding machine has a thermoplastic mold in a fixed mold, a movable mold that is opened and closed with respect to the fixed mold, and a cavity formed between the parting surfaces of these molds. It consists of an injection unit that injects resin. Therefore, when the molten resin is injected and filled into the cavity of the mold from the injection unit, the movable mold is opened after cooling and solidification, and the ejector pin is ejected, an injection molded product having a desired shape is obtained. This injection molding method can easily automate each molding operation such as opening and closing of molds, plasticizing and injection / filling of resin material by injection unit, ejecting ejector pins, etc. It is indispensable for mass production of home appliances. However, the surface of the injection molded product does not necessarily have a high-class feeling. In addition, the weather resistance, chemical resistance, scratch resistance, etc. may be inferior. Therefore, after injection molding, as a post-treatment, a coating film is formed on the surface of the injection molded product to improve surface properties. As one of them, a so-called in-mold coating method is known in which a coating or a coating film is formed in a mold. This in-mold coating method generally includes a step of injecting molten resin into a mold cavity and injection-molding a substrate, and a coating for forming a coating film on the surface of the molded substrate in the mold. It consists of a film formation process. Various in-mold coating methods have been proposed and shown in non-patent literature, but Patent Literature 1 can be cited as a direct prior art document of the present invention.
The in-mold coating mold shown in Patent Document 1 is a mold for obtaining a molded product in which a thermosetting paint is applied to the surface of a base material made of a thermoplastic resin. It is configured. A slide mold in which two concave portions for forming a base material and a coating film are provided on the parting surface side, and similarly, one core for forming the base material is provided on the parting surface side. It consists of a movable mold and an injector that pushes out paint. The slide mold is slidably driven to the base material forming position and the coating film forming position, and protrudes toward the parting surface at a position approximately equidistant from the central portion of the concave portion for forming the base material or the peripheral portion of the concave portion. A small core is provided for the injection of fine pores. The coating film forming recess is larger than the substrate forming recess by a predetermined amount, the movable mold base molding core is smaller than the substrate forming recess by a predetermined amount, and the core On the parting surface side, a position corresponding to the small core of the slide mold at the base material molding position is provided with a core side concave portion for cooperating with the small core to form a protrusion on the base material. . The injector is provided corresponding to the core-side recess.
The mold is clamped at a position where the recess for molding the base material of the slide mold and the core of the movable mold are aligned. Then, a cavity is formed from the recess and the core, and the small core closes the outlet of the injector. A thermoplastic molten resin is injected into the cavity, the substrate is injection molded, and the mold is opened. In the base material remaining in the core, paint injection pores communicating with the injector are formed by the small core. The slide mold is slid, and the base material remaining in the core and the concave portion for forming the coating film are opposed to each other and clamped. If it does so, the clearance gap for coating-film formation will be comprised by the surface of a base material, and the recessed part for coating-film formation. When a thermosetting paint is injected into this gap through the paint injection pores by an injector, a coating film can be formed on the surface of the substrate. In other words, in this molding method, the protruding portion protruding outward from the back side at a substantially equal position from the substantially central portion of the base material or the peripheral portion of the base material during the injection process is formed so as to have paint injection pores therein. In the coating film forming step, a coating film can be formed on the surface of the substrate by being injected into the gap from the paint injection pores by an injector.
Moreover, the metal mold | die of patent document 1 is provided with the pin for the coating material flow-path ensuring at the front-end | tip part of the plunger of an injector. When the plunger of the injector is driven, this pin penetrates the paint injection hole of the nozzle portion of the injector, and a part of the tip thereof reaches the paint injection pore of the protruding portion of the base material.
According to the mold for in-mold coating described in Patent Document 1, a coating film is formed in the mold by taking advantage of the injection molding method. The advantage that an injection-molded article having a coating film can be obtained is recognized. In addition, since the coating is applied from the back surface of the base material toward the surface, there is no application trace left on the surface. In particular, according to the invention described in Patent Document 1, a protruding portion protruding outward from the back side at a substantially equal position from the substantially central portion of the base material or the peripheral portion of the base material at the time of injection of the molten resin is provided in the interior thereof. The paint is injected into the gap between the surface of the base material and the concave portion of the mold by the injector that forms the hole and extrudes the paint during the coating film forming process. Since the coating film is formed, in other words, the coating material is injected from the substantially central portion of the substrate, so that the coating distribution of the coating material is substantially the same in all directions. Therefore, there is no possibility of leaking from a nearby location to the outside before being injected into the entire gap. Since there is no leakage, the mold structure is simple. Further, when extruding the paint, the nozzle portion of the injector is pushed out against the protruding portion of the base material, so that it does not leak from the vicinity of the injection port as in the prior art.
Also, when forming the coating film, the nozzle part of the injector that pushes out the paint is brought into contact with the protruding part of the substrate, and when the plunger of the injector is driven, the pin for securing the paint flow path attached to the tip part is applied to the paint. Inserting a part into the paint injection pore through the injection hole, and injecting the paint of the injector into the gap from the paint injection hole and the paint injection pore to form a coating film on the surface of the substrate Therefore, when the plunger is retracted after the coating film is formed, the pin for securing the paint channel comes out of the paint injection hole of the nozzle portion. Therefore, when the paint injection pore is reached, even if the resin injection pore is clogged for some reason, the clogging is cleared by the pin. Further, when one shot is finished and the plunger is retracted, the pin also comes out of the paint injection hole of the nozzle part, so that the paint injection hole of the nozzle part is not clogged by the paint.

As described above, according to the present invention, at the time of the injection process, the coating is formed so as to have a paint injection hole reaching the surface from the back side at a substantially equal position from the substantially central part of the base material or the peripheral part of the base material. Sometimes, the nozzle part of the paint injection unit is brought into contact with the paint injection hole of the base material, and the paint in the cylinder of the paint injection unit is placed in the gap between the surface of the base material and the concave part of the slide mold. A movable mold having a coating injection nozzle that reaches the surface from the back side at a substantially equal position from the substantially central part of the base material or the peripheral part of the base material, because it forms a coating film on the surface of the base material by injection. During the coating film forming process, the plunger provided in the cylinder of the coating material injection unit is driven to inject the coating material in the cylinder into the gap from the coating material injection nozzle, and the coating film is applied to the surface of the substrate. The Since formation, i.e., the injected paint from a substantially central portion of the substrate, the coating distribution of the coating material is substantially the same in all directions. Therefore, there is no possibility of leaking from a nearby location to the outside before being injected into the entire gap. Since there is no leakage, the mold structure can be simplified.
In particular, according to the present invention, in the cylinder of the paint injection unit, a single injection amount from the lower side of the movable mold is applied to the paint metering unit provided in the movable mold in the vicinity of the paint injection unit. Since it is configured to weigh and supply this metered paint, the amount of paint supplied into the cylinder of the paint injection unit is constant and is between the surface of the substrate and the recess of the slide mold. The effect peculiar to this invention that it can inject | pour into a clearance gap without excess and deficiency is acquired. Further, since the paint injection unit and the paint metering unit are provided in the movable mold, and the distance from these units to the injection position is short, the effect that the temperature of the paint can be easily managed can be obtained. Furthermore, since the coating material is supplied to the coating material measuring unit from the lower side of the movable mold, that is, from the antigravity direction, there is obtained an effect that a high-quality molded product can be obtained with little risk of air mixing.
Hereinafter, the embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to an example in which a molded product shaped like a bumper of an automobile shown in FIG. The molded product Pr is composed of a base material B molded from a thermoplastic resin and a thermosetting coating film F applied to the surface BY of the base material B. Both end portions of the base material B are bent slightly inward, and a pair of brackets Br and Br protruding outward are integrally formed on the back surface side.
FIG. 1A is a cross-sectional view schematically showing a movable mold according to the present embodiment opened. As shown in FIG. 1, in-mold coating according to the present embodiment is performed. The metal mold includes a fixed platen 1 shown on the right side in the figure, a
A locating
Thus, since the

The
The peripheral part of the
In the
The
The tip of the
A rod-shaped
In the upper position inside the
The
A
In the
A specific configuration of the thermosetting paint supply device is not shown in FIG. 1A, but includes a pump having a predetermined discharge pressure. A
Next, the example which forms the coating film F in the metal mold | die on the surface BY of the base material B using the metal mold | die which concerns on the said embodiment is demonstrated. The mold is clamped at the base material molding position shown in FIG. Then, as shown in FIG. 2A, the cavity for forming the substrate is formed by the
Waiting for solidification by cooling or cooling by a cooling means, the
The
The
The
When the injection of the paint is finished, the
When the coating film F is formed on the surface BY of the base material B as described above, the coating film F is formed by the cooling means when the coating film F is formed on the back side of the base material B, more precisely, the peripheral portion on the back side. The peripheral portion of the forming
In the above-described embodiment, the
Since the present embodiment can be molded in the same manner as the above-described embodiment, the
Waiting for cooling and solidification or cooling by cooling means, the
FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of the mold. Although the same reference numerals are given only to the same or similar members as the main constituent members of the above-described embodiment, a duplicate description will not be given. However, according to the present embodiment, the
As described above, the
In the

According to the present embodiment, only the
Also in the present embodiment, the
Since it is apparent that a molded product having a coating film on the surface can be molded in the same manner as in the above-described embodiment, only the different molding process portions will be briefly described below. The mold is clamped at the base material molding position shown in FIG. Then, the base
The
When the coating film F is formed on the surface of the base material B as described above, when the coating film F is formed on the back side of the base material B, more strictly, the peripheral portion on the back side, cooling means is used as necessary. The peripheral part of the recessed
In the above embodiment, a thermosetting paint is applied, but it is obvious that paints such as polymerization drying, volatile polymerization drying, and cooling drying can also be applied. Even if such a paint is applied, since it is injected from the substantially central portion of the base material, the distribution of the paint application is substantially the same in all directions, and the same effect can be obtained. Therefore, there is no possibility of leaking from a nearby location to the outside before being injected into the entire gap. Since there is no leakage, the mold structure is simple. In FIG. 4A, the
