Claims (6)
- 原稿を照明するために主走査方向に延在する照明装置と、原稿からの反射光を受光して画像信号を出力する読取センサと、前記照明装置の光量を計測するためにその照明装置が発する光を反射させて前記読取センサに導く基準板とを有し、この基準板が、原稿読取領域の外側で且つ原稿ガラスを挟んで原稿と相反する側に配置された原稿読取装置であって、
前記照明装置は、光源と、この光源が発する光を長手方向の一端側の光入射面から入射させて長手方向に延びた光出射面から出射させるために、前記光出射面に対向して光反射部が設けられた導光体とを有し、
この導光体は、原稿面に光を照射する第1の領域と、前記基準板に光を照射する第2の領域とを有し、この第2の領域では、前記第1の領域より光の副走査方向の照射幅が大きくなるようにしたことを特徴とする原稿読取装置。 - 前記光反射部には、前記導光体の長手方向と直交する向きに延びた突起状のプリズムが、長手方向に複数並んで形成されており、前記第2の領域では、前記プリズムの幅が前記第1の領域より大きくなるようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の原稿読取装置。
- 前記第2の領域の前記プリズムの幅が、前記第1の領域の前記プリズムの中心線に対し、均等に幅広に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の原稿読取装置。
- 前記第2の領域の前記プリズムの幅が、前記第1の領域の前記プリズムの中心線に対し、片側のみに幅広に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の原稿読取装置。
- 前記光出射面の断面が楕円形状をなし、前記断面が、前記導光体の前記光入射面から前記導光体の端部にかけて、同一楕円率で次第に小さくなるように設定されたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載の原稿読取装置。
- 前記基準板は、前記読取領域を挟んで前記光源と相反する側に配置され、前記第2の領域は、前記基準板に対応して、前記導光体における前記光源と相反する側の端部の近傍に設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載の原稿読取装置。
