Description
Claims (6)
- 複数の配光パターンを形成可能な車両用前照灯と、
自車の前方に存在する前走車の検知を周期的に行う検知手段と、
前記検知手段の検知結果に基づいて前記複数の配光パターンのうちから一つの配光パターンを選択する選択手段と、
前記検知手段による前走車の検知結果に変化が生じてから該変化を確定するまでの時間である検出時間が経過したときに、前記選択手段により選択された配光パターンを照射するよう前記車両用前照灯を制御する制御手段と、
自車の走行状態を検出する走行状態検出手段と、
を備え、
前記制御手段は、照射範囲がそれまでより広くなる配光パターンに切り替える場合には、照射範囲が狭くなる配光パターンに切り替える場合よりも前走車の検出時間を長くし、
前記制御手段は、前記走行状態検出手段の検出結果に応じて前走車の検出時間を可変し、
前記走行状態検出手段は、天候状態を検出する天候検出手段を含み、前記制御手段は、雨天時にはそれ以外の天候時よりも前走車の検出時間を長くする、
ことを特徴とする車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。 - 前記走行状態検出手段は、車両が曲線路を走行しているか否かを検出する曲線路検出手段をさらに含み、前記制御手段は、車両が曲線路を走行している場合にはそれ以外の場合よりも前走車の検出時間を長くすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
- 前記制御手段は、前走車の水平方向の位置に応じて前走車の検出時間を可変することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
- 前記制御手段は、前走車までの距離を検出する距離検出手段を備え、前走車までの距離が所定の閾値距離よりも大きい場合には、それ以外の場合よりも前走車の検出時間を長くすることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
- 手動で配光パターンを切り替える手動配光切替手段をさらに備え、前記制御手段は、前記手動配光切替手段からそれまでとは異なる配光パターンに切り替える指示があった場合には、配光パターンが徐々に切り替わるように前記車両用前照灯を制御することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
- 当該制御システムは、3種類以上の配光パターンの間で配光パターンを切替可能に構成されており、前記制御手段は、これらの配光パターン間の切替における前走車の検出時間のうち少なくとも1つを他とは異ならせることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の車両用前照灯の配光制御システム。
