Description
円周上の一箇所において互いに接合可能に設けられた合口端部が互いに離れた状態で成形される合成樹脂製のシールリングを、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向する状態となるように癖付けるシールリングの癖付け方法であって、
外周治具に設けられた孔部の内周面と該孔部内に配置された内周治具の外周面との間に形成された環状隙間に、シールリングを前記合口端部が略所定の隙間を有して対向した状態で嵌め入れる第1工程と、
前記シールリングに、前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具が前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い一定温度に維持されている加熱領域を通過させる第2工程と、
前記加熱領域を通過したシールリングに、前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具が前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも低い一定温度に維持されている冷却領域を通過させる第3工程と、
を備えることを特徴とする。
円周上の一箇所において互いに接合可能に設けられた合口端部が互いに離れた状態で成形される合成樹脂製のシールリングを、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向する状態となるように癖付けるシールリングの癖付け装置であって、
孔部を備えた外周治具と、該孔部内に配置され孔部内周面との間に環状隙間を形成する内周治具と、を備え、
前記環状隙間には、前記外周治具および前記内周治具が前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い一定温度に維持されている加熱領域と、前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも低い一定温度に維持されている冷却領域と、が形成されており、
前記シールリングは、前記合口端部が略所定の隙間を有して対向した状態で前記環状隙間に嵌め入れられ、前記加熱領域及び前記冷却領域を順次通過することにより、前記癖付けがなされることを特徴とする。
円周上の一箇所において互いに接合可能に設けられた合口端部が互いに離れた状態で成形された後に、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向する状態となるように癖付けされる合成樹脂製のシールリングであって、
前記成形の後、外周治具に設けられた孔部の内周面と該孔部内に配置された内周治具の外周面との間に形成された環状隙間に、前記合口端部が略所定の隙間を有して対向した状態で嵌め入れられ、
前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具がシールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い一定温度に維持されている加熱領域を通過し、
該加熱領域を通過した後、前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具がシールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも低い一定温度に維持されている冷却領域を通過することにより前記癖付けがなされることを特徴とする。
癖付けを行うことができる。すなわち、一定の温度環境でシールリングが加熱・冷却されることになり、製品ごとに熱履歴が異なってしまうことが抑制される。したがって、製品ごとのシールリング形状のバラツキが抑制され、製品の寸法精度の向上を図ることができる。
前記シールリングは、前記環状隙間の軸方向一方側の開口部から嵌め入れられ、軸方向他方側の開口部から排出される。
が図られるとともに作業の自動化を図ることが可能となり、大量生産に寄与することができる。
前記シールリングは、前記合口端部の位置が、前記環状隙間の楕円断面における短軸の一方の端点の位置と略一致するように、前記環状隙間に嵌め入れられるようにするとよい。
図1〜図6を参照して、本発明の実施例1に係るシールリングの癖付け方法、シールリングの癖付け装置及びシールリングについて説明する。図1は、シールリングの使用状態を説明する模式的半断面図である。図2は、成形直後、すなわち、癖付けされる前のシールリングの構成を説明する模式図であり、(a)は軸方向から見た図、(b)は(a)のA矢視図をそれぞれ示している。図3は、癖付けされた後のシールリングの構成を説明する模式図であり、(a)は軸方向から見た図、(b)は(a)のB矢視図をそれぞれ示している。図4は、癖付け装置の構成を説明する模式図である。図5は、図4の癖付け装置のシールリング投入部の構成を説明する模式図である。図6は、図4の癖付け装置の押し込み治具の構成を説明する模式図であり、(a)は押し込み治具の正面図、(b)は押し込み治具の下面図をそれぞれ示している。図7は、図4の癖付け装置のシールリング排出部の構成を説明する模式図である。
図1に示すように、本実施例に係るシールリング1は、軸200とハウジング300の軸孔301との間の環状隙間400を密封するためのものであり、流体密封や油圧保持等を目的として油圧機器をはじめ種々の機器に用いられる。シールリング1は、軸200の外周面に設けられた環状溝201に装着され、軸方向一方側から作用する圧力Pによって軸方向他方側に押し付けられ、軸孔301の内周面に密着するとともに環状溝201の側壁面202に密着する。これにより環状隙間400が密封される。

図4に示すように、本実施例に係るシールリングの癖付け装置100は、概略、癖付けのための加熱・冷却処理を行う外周治具101及び内周治具102と、射出成形後のシールリング1を外周治具101と内周治具102との環状隙間に押し込むための押し込み治具103と、癖付けを終えたシールリング1を排出する排出部104と、を備えている。
治具102にはシールリング1の排出口側に開口する空洞部102aが設けられている。この領域は、環状隙間においてシールリング1を冷却する冷却領域を形成する。
本実施例に係るシールリングの癖付け方法は、外周治具101と内周治具102との間の環状隙間に、環状隙間の一方側からシールリング1を嵌め入れ、環状隙間において所定の温度に維持された2つの領域を通過させ、環状隙間の他方側から排出することで癖付けを行う構成となっている。
接触した状態で環状隙間の加熱領域を通過する(第2工程)。加熱領域では、外周治具101がカートリッジヒータ105aによって、内周治具102がカートリッジヒータ106aによって、それぞれシールリング1の樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い温度に加熱・維持されている。したがって、通過するシールリング1はシールリング1の樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い温度に加熱されることになる。ここで、加熱温度としては、材料がPEEK、外径が47mm、厚さが2mmのシールリング1の場合、例えば、180℃に設定される。
本実施例によれば、所定の温度に維持された2つの領域を有する外周治具と内周治具との間の環状隙間に嵌め入れ、環状隙間の一方側から他方側に通過させるだけでシールリングの癖付け行うことができる。これにより、連続的にシールリングを環状隙間に嵌め入れ
ていくことにより、複数のシールリングの癖付け作業を連続的に行うことが可能となる。したがって、作業効率の向上が図られるとともに、作業の自動化を図ることが可能となり、大量生産に寄与することができる。
図8〜図10を参照して、本発明の実施例2に係るシールリングの癖付け方法、シールリングの癖付け装置及びシールリングについて説明する。図8は、実施例1に係る癖付け後のシールリングの形状を説明する模式図である。図9は、実施例2に係る癖付け装置の構成を説明する模式図である。図10は、癖付け後のシールリングの形状の評価実験を説明する模式図であり、(a)は外径測定箇所を説明する模式図であり、(b)は実験結果を説明する図表である。なお、ここでは実施例1と異なる点についてのみ説明し、共通する構成等については同一の符号を付してその説明を省略する。
本実施例によれば、癖付け後のシールリングの真円度の向上を図ることができる。また、真円度が向上されることでシールリングの組付け性の向上を図ることができる。

Claims (15)
- 円周上の一箇所において互いに接合可能に設けられた合口端部が互いに離れた状態で成形される合成樹脂製のシールリングを、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向する状態となるように癖付けるシールリングの癖付け方法であって、
外周治具に設けられた孔部の内周面と該孔部内に配置された内周治具の外周面との間に形成された環状隙間に、シールリングを前記合口端部が略所定の隙間を有して対向した状態で嵌め入れる第1工程と、
前記シールリングに、前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具が前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い一定温度に維持されている加熱領域を通過させる第2工程と、
前記加熱領域を通過したシールリングに、前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具が前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも低い一定温度に維持されている冷却領域を通過させる第3工程と、
を備えることを特徴とするシールリングの癖付け方法。 - 前記内周治具の外径は、前記内周治具の外周面と、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向した状態のシールリングと、の間に隙間が形成されるように設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシールリングの癖付け方法。
- 前記環状隙間は、軸方向両側で開口するとともに、軸方向一方側に前記加熱領域が設けられ、軸方向他方側に前記冷却領域が設けられており、
前記シールリングを、前記環状隙間の軸方向一方側の開口部から嵌め入れ、軸方向他方側の開口部から排出することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のシールリングの癖付け方法。 - 複数の前記シールリングを連続的に前記環状隙間に嵌め入れ、先行するシールリングを後続のシールリングで押すことにより、複数の前記シールリングを前記環状隙間内で移動させることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のシールリングの癖付け方法。
- 前記環状隙間は、軸に垂直な断面が略楕円状であり、
前記第1工程において、前記シールリングの合口端部の位置が前記環状隙間の楕円断面における短軸の一方の端点の位置と略一致するように、前記シールリングを前記環状隙間に嵌め入れることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のシールリングの癖付け方法。 - 円周上の一箇所において互いに接合可能に設けられた合口端部が互いに離れた状態で成形される合成樹脂製のシールリングを、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向する状態となるように癖付けるシールリングの癖付け装置であって、
孔部を備えた外周治具と、該孔部内に配置され孔部内周面との間に環状隙間を形成する内周治具と、を備え、
前記環状隙間には、前記外周治具および前記内周治具が前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い一定温度に維持されている加熱領域と、前記シールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも低い一定温度に維持されている冷却領域と、が形成されており、
前記シールリングは、前記合口端部が略所定の隙間を有して対向した状態で前記環状隙間に嵌め入れられ、前記加熱領域及び前記冷却領域を順次通過することにより、前記癖付けがなされることを特徴とするシールリングの癖付け装置。 - 前記内周治具の外径は、前記内周治具の外周面と、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向した状態のシールリングと、の間に隙間が形成されるように設定されていることを特
徴とする請求項6に記載のシールリングの癖付け装置。 - 前記環状隙間は、軸方向両側で開口するとともに、軸方向一方側に前記加熱領域が設けられ、軸方向他方側に前記冷却領域が設けられており、
前記シールリングは、前記環状隙間の軸方向一方側の開口部から嵌め入れられ、軸方向他方側の開口部から排出されることを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載のシールリングの癖付け装置。 - 複数の前記シールリングが連続的に前記環状隙間に嵌め入れられ、先行するシールリングが後続のシールリングに押されることにより、複数の前記シールリングが前記環状隙間内を移動することを特徴とする請求項6から8のいずれかに記載のシールリングの癖付け装置。
- 前記環状隙間は、軸に垂直な断面が略楕円状であり、
前記シールリングは、前記合口端部の位置が前記環状隙間の楕円断面における短軸の一方の端点の位置と略一致するように、前記環状隙間に嵌め入れられることを特徴とする請求項6から9のいずれかに記載のシールリングの癖付け装置。 - 円周上の一箇所において互いに接合可能に設けられた合口端部が互いに離れた状態で成形された後に、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向する状態となるように癖付けされる合成樹脂製のシールリングであって、
前記成形の後、外周治具に設けられた孔部の内周面と該孔部内に配置された内周治具の外周面との間に形成された環状隙間に、前記合口端部が略所定の隙間を有して対向した状態で嵌め入れられ、
前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具がシールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも高い一定温度に維持されている加熱領域を通過し、
該加熱領域を通過した後、前記環状隙間において前記外周治具および前記内周治具がシールリングの樹脂材のガラス転移点よりも低い一定温度に維持されている冷却領域を通過することにより前記癖付けがなされることを特徴とするシールリング。 - 前記内周治具の外径は、前記内周治具の外周面と、前記合口端部が所定の隙間を有して対向した状態のシールリングと、の間に隙間が形成されるように設定されていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のシールリング。
- 前記環状隙間は、軸方向両側で開口するとともに、軸方向一方側に前記加熱領域が設けられ、軸方向他方側に前記冷却領域が設けられており、
前記環状隙間の軸方向一方側の開口部から嵌め入れられ、軸方向他方側の開口部から排出されることを特徴とする請求項11または12に記載のシールリング。 - 後続のシールリングに押されることで、先行するシールリングを押しながら前記環状隙間内を移動することを特徴とする請求項11から13のいずれかに記載のシールリング。
- 前記環状隙間は、軸に垂直な断面が略楕円状であり、
前記合口端部の位置が前記環状隙間の楕円断面における短軸の一方の端点と略一致するように、前記環状隙間に嵌め入れられることを特徴とする請求項11から14のいずれかに記載のシールリング。
