Description
(1)水銀を含む排ガス中で使用された、酸化チタンを主成分とする使用済脱硝触媒を、洗浄液中に浸漬後、該洗浄液を攪拌しながら、該脱硝触媒中の水銀を含む触媒毒を溶解、除去する使用済脱硝触媒の洗浄方法において、洗浄液を攪拌する過程で発生した排ガスを、水銀除去手段を有する煙道に導き、水銀を除去した後、大気に放出することを特徴とする使用済脱硝触媒の洗浄方法。
(2)前記洗浄液が、水または蓚酸もしくはクエン酸の水溶液であることを特徴とする(1)記載の方法。
(3)前記水銀除去手段が、珪藻土、酸化チタン及びアルミナ群から選ばれる一つ以上の担体に金を担持した水銀除去剤が充填された充填層に排ガスを通過させるものである(1)または(2)記載の方法。
(4)前記水銀除去手段が、活性炭を充填した充填層に排ガスを通過させるものである(1)または(2)記載の方法。
(5)前記洗浄液の攪拌が、エアレーション及び/またはキャビテーションによって行なわれる(1)ないし(4)のいずれかに記載の方法。

本発明方法において、上記の洗浄工程で発生した水銀を含む排ガスは、水銀除去手段を有する煙道を通る間に漏れなく捕集される。水銀除去手段としては、水銀除去剤、例えば水銀とアマルガムを生成する金属(例えば金など)が担持された充填層や活性炭の充填層が用いられ、ファンによって吸引された排ガスが煙道内に設けられた上記充填層を通過する間に排ガス中の水銀が例えば充填層内の金などとアマルガムを生成し、排ガス中から除去され、大気への放出が防止される。また、この水銀除去剤が活性炭である場合には、排ガス中の水銀は活性炭に物理吸着され、大気への放出が防止される。
また、洗浄液の温度は、触媒毒の除去効率が高いことから50〜60℃が好ましい。
図1は、本発明の洗浄方法を実施するための装置を示す説明図である。この装置は、使用済脱硝触媒を洗浄液に浸漬し、エアレーションを行う洗浄操作部と、洗浄の際に発生する排ガスを処理する排ガス処理部とからなり、具体的には、使用済触媒3を容器内に収容したユニットを洗浄液2に浸漬する洗浄液タンク1と、該洗浄液タンク1内の使用済触媒3の下方から空気を吹き込むための空気押込み用の配管8と、該配管8に空気を押し込むためのファン7と、前記洗浄液タンク1の上方に設けられた切頭円錐形のフード5と、該フードに接続された煙道9と、該煙道9に設けられた水銀除去剤充填層6と、該煙道9の前記充填層6の出口側に設けられた空気引き込み用のファン10とから構成される。
本発明方法の効果を確認するため以下のような模擬試験を行った。図3にこの試験方法の概略図を示す。触媒として、触媒成分がTi、Mo、及びVからなる板状触媒を、水銀を含む排ガスが排出される石炭焚きボイラの実機で1万時間運転した使用済脱硝触媒を用いた。この触媒を50mm×20mmの大きさ(10cm2)に切断したもの4枚用意した。100mL容量の吸収瓶11に洗浄液を30mL入れ、予め60℃まで保温しておく。この溶液に先に用意した4枚の触媒片を液に浸漬させ、日本インスツルメンツ社製の水銀分析装置(WA-4)を用いて、吸収瓶11の出口から水銀分析計に至るまでの配管中に水銀除去剤6を設置し、水銀除去剤6を通過した後のガス中の水銀量を測定した。なお、水銀の除去剤には日本インスツルメンツ社製の水銀捕集管に充填された水銀吸着剤を30mgを用いて試験を行った。また、洗浄液のエアレーションは、金が担持された珪藻土13を吸収瓶11の先端に設置し、大気中の水銀が除去された空気を0.5L/minの速度で20分間、押し込んで行った。また、洗浄液2には1mol/Lの蓚酸溶液を用いた。
試験例1において、洗浄液に1mol/Lのクエン酸溶液に変更し、他は同様にして試験を行った。

- 水銀を含む排ガス中で使用された、酸化チタンを主成分とする使用済脱硝触媒を、洗浄液中に浸漬後、該洗浄液を攪拌しながら、該脱硝触媒中の水銀を含む触媒毒を溶解、除去する使用済脱硝触媒の洗浄方法において、洗浄液を攪拌する過程で発生した排ガスを、水銀除去手段を有する煙道に導き、水銀を除去した後、大気に放出することを特徴とする使用済脱硝触媒の洗浄方法。
- 前記洗浄液が、水または蓚酸もしくはクエン酸の水溶液であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記水銀除去手段が、珪藻土、酸化チタン及びアルミナ群から選ばれる一つ以上の担体に金を担持した水銀除去剤が充填された充填層に排ガスを通過させるものである請求項1または2記載の方法。
