Description
Claims (10)
- 軸方向に沿って延びる軸方向軸線、半径方向に沿って延びる半径方向軸線、並びに上流及び下流端部部分を有する環状シュラウドと、
環状シュラウドの軸方向軸線に沿って延びる中心体と、
中心体の外表面の周りに配置された内側円周方向端部部分を有し、環状シュラウドの上流端部部分に配置された内側スワーラと、
軸方向に延びてそれらの間にギャップを形成する内側及び外側シュラウドによって形成されたアニュラス、燃料入口、並びにその下流部分において内側及び外側シュラウド間に形成されたギャップ内に配置された燃料プレナムスワーラを有し、内側シュラウドが内側スワーラの外側円周方向端部部分の周りで円周方向に配置された燃料プレナムと、
燃料プレナムの外側シュラウドの周りに配置された内側円周方向端部部分を有する外側スワーラと、
環状シュラウドの上流端部部分において外側スワーラの半径方向外側でかつ環状シュラウドの周りで円周方向に配置され、外側スワーラ内の複数の燃料噴射ポートと流体連通した燃料シュラウドと、
を含み、
内側及び外側スワーラが、環状シュラウドの上流端部部分において環状シュラウドに流入する第1の酸化剤ストリームの第1及び第2の部分の独立した回転を可能にするように構成され、
内側及び外側スワーラは内側及び外側シュラウドの下流側端部に配置され、内側及び外側スワーラに流入する第1の酸化剤ストリームの第1及び第2の部分が内側及び外側シュラウドの上流側端部で互いに分離されている、
燃料−空気ミキサ。 - 燃料−空気ミキサが、空気を、高エネルギー含有量燃料、低エネルギー含有量燃料及びそれらの組合せから成る群から選ばれた燃料と混合するように構成される、請求項1記載の燃料−空気ミキサ。
- 燃料プレナムが、燃料プレナムスワーラを通して燃料−空気ミキサ内に噴射するために低エネルギー含有量燃料を輸送するように構成される、請求項2記載の燃料−空気ミキサ。
- 燃料シュラウドが、外側スワーラ内の複数の燃料噴射ポートを通して燃料−空気ミキサ内に噴射するために高エネルギー含有量燃料を輸送するように構成される、請求項3記載の燃料−空気ミキサ。
- 低エネルギー含有量燃料が水素及び窒素の50/50混合物であるか、又は高エネルギー含有量燃料が天然ガスであり、
燃料プレナムスワーラの有効面積が、2000°F〜3000°F(又は、1093℃〜1649℃)の範囲にある火炎温度を得るために、天然ガスを噴射するための外側スワーラ内の複数の燃料噴射ポートの有効面積よりも6.43〜8.57倍大きい範囲にある、
請求項4記載の燃料−空気ミキサ。 - 低エネルギー含有量燃料が水素及び窒素の60/40混合物であるか、又は高エネルギー含有量燃料が天然ガスであり、
燃料プレナムスワーラの有効面積が、2000°F〜3000°F(又は、1093℃〜1649℃)の範囲にある火炎温度を得るために、天然ガスを噴射するための外側スワーラ内の複数の燃料噴射ポートの有効面積よりも4.2〜5.6倍大きい範囲にある、
請求項4記載の燃料−空気ミキサ。 - 低エネルギー含有量燃料がシンガスであるか、又は高エネルギー含有量燃料が天然ガスであり、
燃料プレナムスワーラの有効面積が、2000°F〜3000°F(又は、1093℃〜1649℃)の範囲にある火炎温度を得るために、天然ガスを噴射するための外側スワーラ内の複数の燃料噴射ポートの有効面積よりも10.82〜14.43倍大きい範囲にある、
請求項4記載の燃料−空気ミキサ。 - 高エネルギー含有量燃料が純水素であり、
純水素を噴射するための外側スワーラ内の複数の燃料噴射ポートの有効面積が、高エネルギー含有量燃料が天然ガスである場合における同じ有効面積よりも1.6〜2.14倍大きい範囲にある、
請求項4記載の燃料−空気ミキサ。 - 燃焼システム内で高エネルギー含有量燃料又は低エネルギー含有量燃料を酸化剤と予混合する方法であって、
その酸化剤入口を通して第1の酸化剤ストリームを燃料−空気ミキサの環状シュラウド内に取り込む段階と、
外側スワーラ内で第1の酸化剤ストリームの第1の部分を第1の方向に旋回させる段階と、
内側スワーラ内で第1の酸化剤ストリームの第2の部分を第1の方向とは反対である第2の方向に旋回させる段階と、
外側スワーラ内の燃料入口オリフィスと流体連通しておりかつ外側及び内側スワーラが設置されているのと略同一の軸方向位置に配置された燃料シュラウドから、燃料−空気ミキサ内に高エネルギー含有量燃料を噴射する段階、又は、軸方向に延びてそれらの間にギャップを形成する内側及び外側シュラウドによって形成されたアニュラス、その上流部分に配置された燃料入口並びにその下流部分において内側及び外側シュラウド間に形成されたギャップ内に配置された燃料プレナムスワーラを有し、その内側シュラウドが内側スワーラの外側円周方向端部部分の周りで円周方向に配置された燃料プレナムから、燃料−空気ミキサ内に低エネルギー含有量燃料を噴射する段階と、
を含み、
内側及び外側スワーラは内側及び外側シュラウドの下流側端部に配置され、内側及び外側スワーラに流入する第1の酸化剤ストリームの第1及び第2の部分が内側及び外側シュラウドの上流側端部で互いに分離されている、
方法。 - 第2のガス状ストリームを環状シュラウド内に取り込む段階と、
燃料シュラウド並びに内側及び外側スワーラの軸方向位置の下流に配置された半径方向スワーラ内で、環状シュラウドの外側の領域から取り込んだ第2のガス状ストリームを旋回させ、それによって環状シュラウドの出口における環状シュラウドの壁付近の燃料濃度を制御するようにする段階と、
をさらに含む、請求項9記載の方法。
