Description
図示された通り、超音波診断システム100はプローブ110、ビームフォーマー120、映像プロセッサ130、メモリ140及びディスプレイ部150を含む。
式中、f(x,y)は超音波診断システムを介して最初に得られた心臓の超音波映像の各ピクセルのグレーレベルを示し、w(s,t)は縦または横エッジ抽出フィルタを示し、エッジ抽出フィルタを適用して得たg(x,y)は該当ピクセルの特性値を示す。sとtはフィルタの大きさを示すもので、図2a及び図2bに示されるように5×5サイズのフィルタを用いる場合、sとtはそれぞれ−2〜+2間の値を有する。
1)映像プロセッサ130はエッジ抽出境界候補モデル(図11a)と単純化境界候補モデル(図11b)でシードポイント850を基準として放射方向に最大検索半径rまで検索して左心室の境界を検出する。
2)エッジ抽出境界候補モデル(図11a)と単純化境界候補モデル(図11b)いずれも左心室の境界が検出されれば、映像プロセッサ130はエッジ抽出境界候補モデル(図11a)で検出された境界に該当するピクセルの位置を左心室の境界位置として設定する。
3)映像プロセッサ130は手続き2)で設定された左心室の境界位置に基づいて、超音波診断システムを介して最初に得られた心臓の超音波映像(図5a参照)の該当位置に左心室の境界ポイントを設定する。
4)映像プロセッサ130はシードポイント850を基準として所定間隔で手続き1)〜3)を反復する。
5)もし手続き1)で、エッジ抽出境界候補モデル(図11a)の左心室の境界が検出されなければ、映像プロセッサ130は単純化境界候補モデル(図11b)の左心室の境界位置と細線化境界候補モデル(図11c)の左心室の境界位置の平均位置を算出する。
6)映像プロセッサ130は手続き5)で算出された平均位置に基づいて、超音波診断システムを介して最初に得られた心臓の超音波映像(図5a参照)の該当位置に左心室の境界ポイントを設定する。

Claims (1)
- 対象体の境界を検出する方法であって、
a)対象体の超音波映像からエッジを検出してエッジ抽出境界候補モデルを形成する段階と、
b)上記エッジ抽出境界候補モデルに形態変換を行うための形態学的演算(Morphological Operations)を行い、前記形態学的演算を行ったエッジ抽出境界候補モデルに、連結成分等を検索して同一の連結成分に存在するピクセルに一つの固有ラベルを付与するための連結成分ラベリング(Connected−Component Labeling)演算を行って単純化境界候補モデルを形成する段階と、
c)上記単純化境界候補モデルに細線化演算を行って細線化境界候補モデルを形成する段階と、
d)上記エッジ抽出境界候補モデル、単純化境界候補モデル及び細線化境界候補モデルに基づいて上記超音波映像から上記対象体の境界を検出する段階と
を備えることを特徴とする方法。
