Claims (16)
- 炭化水素燃料から水素を生成する方法であって、
燃料を、酸素および/または水蒸気を含むガスと混合することと、
燃料とガスの混合物を、反応器内の対置された電極間のマイクロ波プラズマ発生器によって生成されたプラズマに通過させることとを含み、
電極のうちの少なくとも一方が、プラズマ近傍から物質を流出させるためのダクトを画定し、
その結果、流出ダクトから流出するガス混合物が水素を含み、
燃料と酸素および/または水蒸気を含むガスとが反応器に入り、電極周辺で燃料とガスの混合物の渦を形成する、方法。 - 燃料と酸素および/または水蒸気を含むガスとが、電極に対して接線方向に反応器に入る、請求項1に記載の方法。

- 燃料が、蒸気の状態で、マイクロ波プラズマ発生器に供給される、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 水蒸気および/または気化燃料を生成するための熱が、流出ダクトから流出するガス混合物との熱交換によって得られる、請求項7に記載の方法。
- パルスマイクロ波電力が反応器に供給される、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 燃料とガスの混合物を1回だけ装置に通すことによって、完全な燃料変換が達成される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 反応器が、大気圧よりも高い圧力で作動する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 対置された電極が、相互に接近およびさらに離れて移動させることができる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 燃料が、液体炭化水素燃料である、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。

マイクロ波プラズマ反応器が、
マイクロ波プラズマ発生器に結合された反応チャンバと、
反応チャンバ内の、反応チャンバを通るマイクロ波放射の伝搬方向と垂直な少なくとも1組の対置された電極と、
電極を通過するガスが電極周辺で渦を生成するように位置付けられたチャンバ内の、燃料と酸素および/または水蒸気を含むガス用の1つまたは複数の入口とを含み、
電極のうちの少なくとも一方が、プラズマ近傍から物質を流出させるダクトを画定している、システム。 - ガス入口が、電極に対して接線方向にある、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 燃料/ガス入口が、燃料とガスの混合物の運動方向に対して接線方向にある、請求項14に記載のシステム。
