4H++4e-+(4OH-)→2H2+(4OH-)
の反応が起こり、アノード電極では、
2H2O→4H++O2+4e-
の反応が起こると同時に、水に含まれる塩化物イオン(水道水に予め添加されているもの)が、
2Cl-→Cl2+2e-
のように反応し、更にこのCl2は水と反応し、
Cl2+H2O→HClO+HCl
となる。上記化学式に示すように電極17、18を用いた電気化学的処理により、前述した水素及び酸素等の気体が発生する。

Claims (3)
- 電解水に反応性の少ない素材で形成され、親水性処理を施した気液接触部材と、前記電解水を貯留する貯水部と、一端部が前記気液接触部材に接触して設けられると共に、他端部が前記貯水部内の電解水に浸漬された吸水部材と、を備え、前記吸水部材は前記貯水部内の電解水に浸漬された状態と、電解水から離間した状態とに切換可能とされ、前記吸水部材が前記貯水部内の電解水に浸漬された状態では、前記貯水部より毛細管現象を利用して前記気液接触部材に前記電解水を供給し、当該気液接触部材に通風される空気を前記電解水に接触させることを特徴とする空気除菌装置。
- 前記貯水部内に多孔質材料、又は、吸水性高分子材料を充填したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空気除菌装置。
- 前記気液接触部材の周囲を開閉自在に密閉可能なカバーを備えたことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項2の何れかに記載の空気除菌装置。
