Description
The present invention relates to a sliding tripod type constant velocity joint.
As a conventional sliding tripod type constant velocity joint, for example, there is one described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2003-65350 (Patent Document 1). In the sliding tripod type constant velocity joint described in
Here, in the constant velocity joints described in Patent Documents 2 and 3, the shape of the rolling elements and the number of rolling elements that transmit power simultaneously are set as appropriate in order to transmit power, but sufficient power transmission is performed. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the track groove extending direction (full length) of the roller unit and to increase the contact area between the roller unit and the side surface of the track groove that contributes to power transmission. When the total length of the roller unit becomes large, there is a possibility that when the joint angle is added, there is a possibility of interference with the retainer of the shaft and the roller unit, so that the maximum joint angle can be restricted. Although the maximum joint angle can be secured by increasing the outer diameter of the outer ring, this is contrary to the demand for downsizing.
In addition, the cage that supports the rolling element prevents the rolling element from falling off in a state where the constant velocity joint is assembled, and ensures that the rolling element is lubricated to ensure good circulation of the rolling element. There is a request for adhesion.
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances. As a first object, the sliding tripod type that can avoid the interference between the shaft and the roller unit when the joint angle is increased without increasing the size, etc. Is to provide a fast joint. A second object is to provide a sliding tripod type constant velocity joint capable of preventing the rolling elements from falling off in a state where the constant velocity joint is rotated.
(Means 1) The sliding tripod type constant velocity joint according to
An outer ring having a cylindrical shape and formed with three raceway grooves extending in the outer ring rotation axis direction on the inner peripheral surface;
A boss portion coupled to the shaft, and three tripod shaft portions that are erected so as to extend radially outward of the boss portion from the outer peripheral surface of the boss portion and are inserted into the raceway grooves, respectively. Tripod,
An intermediate member provided on the outer periphery of the tripod shaft portion so as to be swingable with respect to the tripod shaft portion, and having a power transmission surface facing the side surface of the raceway groove on both surfaces;
A plurality of rolling elements provided between the side surface of the raceway groove and the power transmission surface so as to roll along the side surface of the raceway groove;
A cage that supports the rolling element such that the rolling element can circulate around the outer periphery of the intermediate member;
A sliding tripod type constant velocity joint comprising:
The cage is
A first circulation path for supporting the rolling elements located between the one power transmission surface and one side surface of the raceway groove;
A second circulation path for supporting the rolling element located between the other power transmission surface and the other side surface of the raceway groove;
Of the first and second circulation paths, a third circulation path that connects one end of the outer ring located on the opening side of the outer ring, and at least one direction of the outer ring radial direction outer side and the tripod shaft portion proximity direction A third circulation path that is curved in a convex shape,
A fourth circulation path connecting the other ends of the first and second circulation paths located on the back side of the outer ring; and
It is characterized by providing.
According to the present invention, the third circulation path is formed to be convexly curved in at least one direction of the outer ring radial direction outer side and the tripod shaft portion adjacent direction, and thus the power is transmitted by adding a joint angle. In this case, the distance between the two members is increased as compared with the conventional case in a posture where the shaft and the cage are closest to each other. Therefore, the maximum joint angle can be increased. In such a configuration, since the positional relationship between the roller unit and the tripod shaft portion is not changed, the maximum joint angle can be increased without increasing the outer diameter of the outer ring. Therefore, the above-described effect can be achieved without increasing the entire constant velocity joint.
Here, the case where the third circulation path is curved in a convex shape outward in the outer ring radial direction will be described in detail. When the roller unit is viewed from the side of the raceway groove, the rolling trajectory of the rolling elements and the circulation trajectories in the first and second circulation paths are smoothly approached linearly or arcuately toward the bottom surface of the raceway groove. Therefore, since the circulation locus is changed with a small resistance against the inertial force acting on the circulating rolling elements, the maximum joint angle can be increased while maintaining smooth circulation of the rolling elements.
In particular, the case where the third circulation path is curved in a convex shape in the direction of the tripod shaft portion will be described in detail. When the roller unit is viewed from the side surface of the raceway groove, the rolling trajectory of the rolling element is not inclined with respect to the circulating trajectories in the first and second circulation paths, that is, the circulating trajectory is within the same plane over the entire circumference. Therefore, the maximum joint angle can be increased even in a rolling element other than a sphere that is difficult to roll when there is an inclination.
Further, a case where the third circulation path is curved in a convex shape in both the outer ring radial direction outward direction and the tripod shaft proximity direction will be described in detail. In order to curve outwardly in the outer ring radial direction, a gap between the roller unit and the bottom surface of the raceway groove is required, but even if this gap is small and a sufficient curved part cannot be formed, it will be in the proximity of the tripod shaft part. Also, by curving the convex shape, contact between the shaft and the cage can be avoided, and the maximum joint angle can be increased.
(Means 2) In the sliding tripod type constant velocity joint of
A central portion in the circumferential direction of the outer ring in the third circulation path is most curved in a convex shape in at least one direction of the outer ring radial direction outer side and the tripod shaft portion adjacent direction.
As a result, when the third circulation path is curved most convexly in at least one direction of the outer ring radial direction outward and the tripod shaft proximity direction, the circulation trajectory of the rolling elements in the third circulation path becomes the outer ring rotation. Since it is formed symmetrically with respect to the tripod axis when viewed from the axial direction, even if the direction of circulation of the rolling elements of the roller unit that reciprocates in the raceway groove during power transmission reverses, Similarly, a circulation path can be formed to increase the maximum joint angle while maintaining a stable circulation.
(Means 3) In the sliding tripod type constant velocity joint of
The first, second, third, and fourth circulation paths have openings over the entire length on the outer peripheral side of the cage,
The width of the opening of the third and fourth circulation paths may be set narrower than the width of the opening of the first circulation path and the second circulation path.
Here, the cage that supports the rolling elements in a circulatory manner supports the rolling elements in the power transmission portion, but does not disturb the power transmission between the rolling elements and the side surfaces of the raceway grooves. The opening of the circulation path is preferably formed large. On the other hand, in order to prevent the rolling elements from falling off in a state where the constant velocity joint is assembled, the width of the opening of the third and fourth circulation paths is larger than the width of the opening of the first and second circulation paths. It is preferable to set it narrowly. A large inertial force acts on the rolling elements circulating in the third and fourth circulation paths in the direction of the rotation axis of the outer ring, and there are no other regulating members. For this reason, if the widths of the openings of the third and fourth circulation paths are made large, there is a risk that they will fall out of the cage when the inertial force acting on the rolling elements is large. Therefore, by appropriately setting the width of the opening in the third and fourth circulation paths narrower than the width of the opening in the first and second circulation paths, while preventing the circulation of the rolling elements, It is possible to prevent the rolling element from falling off the cage.
(Means 4) In the sliding tripod type constant velocity joint of any one of
The third circulation path and the fourth circulation path are formed symmetrically with respect to the tripod shaft portion.
As a result, the shape in which the third and fourth circulation paths are curved in a convex shape and the shape in which the width of the opening is narrowed are symmetrical with respect to the tripod shaft, so the first and second members are And the distinction between the third and fourth circuit is lost. Therefore, when assembling the constant velocity joint, it is possible to prevent erroneous assembly such as assembly opposite to the original design.
(Means 5) The sliding tripod type constant velocity joint according to means 5 is:
An outer ring having a cylindrical shape and formed with three raceway grooves extending in the outer ring rotation axis direction on the inner peripheral surface;
A boss portion coupled to the shaft, and three tripod shaft portions that are erected so as to extend radially outward of the boss portion from the outer peripheral surface of the boss portion and are inserted into the raceway grooves, respectively. Tripod,
An intermediate member provided on the outer periphery of the tripod shaft portion so as to be swingable with respect to the tripod shaft portion, and having a power transmission surface facing the side surface of the raceway groove on both surfaces;
A plurality of rolling elements provided between the side surface of the raceway groove and the power transmission surface so as to roll along the side surface of the raceway groove;

A sliding tripod type constant velocity joint comprising:
The cage is
A first circulation path for supporting the rolling elements located between the one power transmission surface and one side surface of the raceway groove;
A second circulation path for supporting the rolling element located between the other power transmission surface and the other side surface of the raceway groove;
A third circulation path connecting one ends of the first and second circulation paths located on the opening side of the outer ring; and
A fourth circulation path connecting the other ends of the first and second circulation paths located on the back side of the outer ring; and
With
The first, second, third, and fourth circulation paths have openings over the entire length on the outer peripheral side of the cage,
The cage is continuously opened over the entire circumference by the openings.
The widths of the openings of the third and fourth circulation paths are set to be narrower than the widths of the openings of the first circulation path and the second circulation path.
According to the present invention, by appropriately setting the width of the opening in the third and fourth circulation paths to be smaller than the width of the opening in the first and second circulation paths, the circulation of the rolling elements is not hindered. While doing so, it is possible to prevent the rolling elements from falling off the cage.
(Means 6) In the sliding tripod type constant velocity joint of means 5,
The third circulation path and the fourth circulation path are formed symmetrically with respect to the tripod shaft portion.
Thereby, since the shape which narrowed the width | variety of the opening part of a 3rd and 4th circulation path becomes a symmetrical shape with respect to a tripod axial part, it is the 1st and 2nd circulation path and 3rd and 4th as a member. The distinction of the circulation path is lost. Therefore, when assembling the constant velocity joint, it is possible to eliminate erroneous assembly such as assembly opposite to the original design.
Hereinafter, an embodiment in which a sliding tripod type constant velocity joint of the present invention (hereinafter simply referred to as “constant velocity joint”) is embodied will be described with reference to the drawings. Here, the case where the constant velocity joint of this embodiment is used for connection of a power transmission shaft of a vehicle will be described as an example. For example, it is a case where it uses for the connection part of the axial part connected with the differential gear, and the intermediate shaft of a drive shaft.

<First embodiment>
The constant velocity joint 1 of 1st embodiment is demonstrated with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is a view seen from the opening side of the
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the constant velocity joint 1 includes an
The
Further, locking
The
Each
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
The outer shape of the
The detailed shape of each
The

The axial end faces 44 and 45 are parts located at both upper and lower ends in FIG. Both axial end surfaces 44 and 45 are flat surfaces orthogonal to the
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the rolling
As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8A, the
Specifically, the circulation
The
The
Further, the
Furthermore, each of the pair of circulation
The pair of connecting
The connecting
In addition, one of the end portions of the
Then, the small-
Here, in a state where the pair of
Furthermore, both ends of the
And the
The operation of the constant velocity joint 1 described above will be described. When the
Further, as described above, the
Here, the tripod contact surfaces 41 of the pair of
Accordingly, the rolling
Further, the
Here, the circumferential center part (same as the circumferential center part of the outer ring 10) of the

<Modification of First Embodiment>
In the first embodiment described above, the
As shown in FIG. 10, the
In addition to this, the
By thus forming the
In addition, since the
<Second embodiment>
The constant velocity joint 201 of 2nd embodiment is demonstrated with reference to FIGS. FIG. 11 is a radial cross-sectional view of a part of the constant velocity joint 201 of the second embodiment. FIG. 12 is a perspective view of a part of the constant velocity joint 201 in an assembled state. FIG. 13 is a perspective view of the
As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the constant velocity joint 201 includes an
In addition, with the first change, the shape of the side surface of the
The
As shown in FIG. 12, the roller unit 230 has an annular shape as a whole, and is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the
The
As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the rolling
As shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, the
The
The operation of the constant velocity joint 201 described above will be described. Unlike the case where the rolling
As described above, in the constant velocity joint 201 according to the second embodiment, the circumferential center of the
Furthermore, the rolling
Furthermore, even if a large inertia force is generated in the rolling
Further, by forming the

In the constant velocity joint 201 of the second embodiment, the
<Third embodiment>
The constant velocity joint 301 of 3rd embodiment is demonstrated with reference to FIG. 15 and FIG. FIG. 15 is a perspective view of a part of the constant velocity joint 301 according to the third embodiment in an assembled state. FIG. 16 is a perspective view of the
As shown in FIG. 15, the constant velocity joint 301 is based on the configuration of the constant velocity joint 201 of the second embodiment. In addition, the
