Description

The present invention relates to a multi-needle sewing machine, and more particularly, to a multi-needle sewing machine provided with a large number of needle bars and selectively operating these needle bars to perform embroidery sewing with a plurality of types of threads.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a multi-needle sewing machine in which a needle bar is selectively operated to perform embroidery sewing with a plurality of types of threads has been widely known including, for example, the multi-needle sewing machine disclosed in Patent Document 1.
1 and 2 show an embodiment of the present invention. In these drawings, the configuration described below is a configuration known from Patent Document 1 (however, in the configuration related to the balance mechanism). Includes a new structure not known in the past). Hereinafter, conventional examples will be described using known portions of these drawings.
The base frame 2 is provided with a lateral motion frame 5 that can freely reciprocate in the lateral direction, and a plurality of needle bars 19 that are movable up and down are arranged in parallel to the lateral motion frame 5. A needle bar mechanism 18 and a plurality of juxtaposed balance members arranged in a passage of a plurality of upper threads 14 supplied from the upper thread supply means 9 toward the needle bar mechanism 18 (Patent Document) 1 and a known balance mechanism), the needle bar mechanism 18 and the balance mechanism are integrally reciprocated, and the needle bar mechanism 18 includes a plurality of needle bars 19 arranged side by side. One needle bar 19 is selectively moved to the upper position of the needle hole by moving the lateral movement frame 5 laterally so that it can be driven up and down, while the other needle bar 19 is kept in the retracted position, and
The balance member for supplying the upper thread 14 to one needle bar 19 that is selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole among the plurality of balance members arranged in parallel is also selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole. Thus, the needle bar 19 is moved up and down in synchronization with the needle bar 19 located above the needle drop hole.

Further, an upper thread holding mechanism 59 appearing in FIG. 4 of Patent Document 1, that is, the drawing reprinted as FIG. 13 in this case, is provided at each front side position of each needle bar 19. The upper thread holding mechanism 59 is supported by a base member 5c disposed at the front position of each needle bar 19 in a state of being connected to the lateral movement frame 5. The plurality of upper thread holding mechanisms 59 are provided in a juxtaposed state as in the case of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 in FIG. 2, and the upper threads 14 directed from the respective balance members 37 to the needles 20 of the respective needle bars 19 are individually provided. Can be freely held and released.

In the upper thread holding mechanism 59 in FIG. 13, the base member 5c is arranged at the front position of each needle bar 19 in a state of being connected to the lateral movement frame 5 (see Patent Document 1). The transmission rod 80n can be moved forward and backward by a support hole 5g provided in the base member 5c and a hole 90a of the receiving member 90b provided at the free end of the take-out member 90 protruding forward from the base member 5c. Is supported.
By supporting in this way, the passive part 80a behind the transmission rod 80n is held in a predetermined position, and when one needle bar 19 is selectively moved to a position above the needle drop hole, The passive portion 80a behind the transmission rod 80n can be pushed and driven by a release member 85c (see FIG. 7) in a known upper thread release mechanism 82 provided on the base frame side.
The transmission rod 80n has a pressing piece so that the upper thread 14 can be held or released by pressing the upper thread 14 against a receiving piece 91 provided at an intermediate position of the take-out member 90. 92 is fixed. The pressing piece 92 is always urged so as to be pressed against the receiving piece 91 by a spring 78n, and a finger pressure portion 92a is attached to the lower side so that the fingertip 89 can be released.

Note that FIG. 3 of Patent Document 1 includes an upper thread releasing mechanism 82 corresponding to the following embodiment in FIGS. 1 and 2 showing an embodiment of the present invention. That is, the upper thread release including the release member 85c for releasing the upper thread holding state of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 related to one needle bar 19 selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole in the base frame 2 is provided. A mechanism corresponding to the mechanism 82 is provided.

Japanese Patent Publication No. 6-94622

In the upper thread holding mechanism 59 having the configuration shown in FIG. 13 in this conventional multi-needle sewing machine, when the upper thread 14 is to be moved manually by retracting the pressing piece 92 in the arrow direction at the retracted position, From the operator's eyes (from the left side of FIG. 13), the receiving member 90b acting as a bearing cannot be seen directly because it becomes a hindrance, and there is a problem that the operation efficiency deteriorates because it is a groping operation. It was.

In addition, the pressing piece 92 fixed to the advanceable / retractable transmission rod 80n has a strong force against the receiving piece 91 provided at the intermediate position of the take-out member 90, that is, at the time of thread change in the sewing process. Since the upper thread 14 is urged in one direction with a strong force so that the upper thread 14 does not come off due to a large vibration caused by abrupt movement of the moving frame, in order to open the upper thread 14, as shown in FIG. The fingertip operation of pulling the acupressure part 92a toward the front has a problem that it is a painful operation for women and women with thin fingers 89.

Further, the acupressure part 92a is provided in a forward / backward transmission rod 80n provided between the support hole 5g of the base member 5c and the hole 90a of the receiving member 90b, and the base member 5c The fingertip 89 is inserted between the receiving member 90b and the advancing / retreating operation, so that a relatively large space (L8) is required, and as a result, the receiving member 90b is provided on the base member 5c. It will be in a state of overhanging from the position (overhang by the dimension L8). This has the problem of greatly interfering with the “clothing operation” of the embroidery cloth that is usually performed in the front (right) space of FIG.

In the multi-needle sewing machine according to the present invention, the base frame 2 is provided with a lateral motion frame 5 that can freely reciprocate in the lateral direction, and the lateral motion frame 5 can be moved up and down. Needle bar mechanism 18 having a plurality of needle bars 19 arranged side by side, and a plurality of side-by-side balances arranged in the passage of a plurality of upper threads 14 fed from upper thread supply means 9 toward needle bar mechanism 18. The balance mechanism 30 provided with the member 37 is mounted, and the needle bar mechanism 18 and the balance mechanism 30 are integrally reciprocated.
One needle bar 19 of a plurality of side-by-side needle bars 19 in the needle bar mechanism 18 is selectively moved to a position above the needle hole by moving the lateral movement frame 5 so that it can be driven up and down. At the same time, the other needle bar 19 remains in the retracted position, and the upper thread 14 with respect to one needle bar 19 that is selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole among the plurality of parallelly arranged balance members 37. The balance member 37 for supplying the needle is also selectively moved to a position above the needle hole so as to move up and down synchronously with the needle bar 19 at the position above the needle hole. The upper threads 14 respectively supported by the base members 5c connected to the lateral movement frame 5 and individually facing the needles 20 of the needle bars 19 from the balance members 37 are individually held at the respective front positions. And a plurality of upper thread holding mechanisms 59 that can be released freely. Further, the base frame 2 has a release member for releasing the upper thread holding state of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 related to one needle bar 19 selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole. In the multi-needle sewing machine provided with the upper thread release mechanism 82 having 85c, each upper thread holding mechanism 59 pivots at an intermediate position relative to the base member 5c at the front position of the base member 5c. A presser lever 70 is provided, and one end of the presser lever 70 is free to press away from the base member 5c. At the same time, the base lever 5c and one end of the presser lever 70 are normally used. One end of the presser lever 70 is urged toward the base member 5c so that the upper thread 14 passing between the two can be clamped, and the other end can be lifted with a fingertip at the other end. And the base member 5c from the front side to the back side. A support hole 5g for penetrating the transmission rod 80 is provided, and the transmission lever 80 is provided on the side opposite to the acupressure portion 75 with the pivoting portion 71 of the presser lever 70 in between. A connecting portion 76 for connecting the front side member 80c is provided, and the support hole 5g supports the intermediate portion of the transmission rod 80, which is connected to the connecting portion 76 of the presser lever 70, to the front side member 80c. Thus, when the passive portion 80a behind the transmission rod 80 is held in a predetermined position and is selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole, it is driven by the release member 85c in the upper thread release mechanism 82. It is something that can be done.

Preferably, means for urging one end of the presser lever 70 toward the base member 5c so that the upper thread 14 passing between the base member 5c and one end of the presser lever 70 can be clamped, The take-out arm 5e is taken out from the base member 5c, and the pivot 5f for supporting the presser lever 70 is supported by the take-out arm 5e, and the winding spring 78 in a plurality of turns is supported by the pivot 5f in a plurality of turns. The front portion is exposed forward, and the upper thread 14 is supported from the front side in a state where it can be sandwiched between the strands of the winding spring 78. One end 78a of the winding spring 78 is on the base member 5c, and the other end 78b is the presser lever 70. As long as it is linked to the other side.

More preferably, the position of the support hole 5g provided in the base member 5c for allowing the transmission rod 80 to pass through the upper thread 14 passing between the base member 5c is opposed to the base member 5c. The transmission lever 80 is provided at a side position of the presser lever 70 so as to avoid the position where the presser lever 70 can be clamped, and the transmission rod 80 supports the intermediate portion 80b in the support hole 5g so as to be able to advance and retract. The front member 80c may be any one connected to the side of the presser lever 70.

As described above, according to the present invention, the upper thread holding mechanism 59 configured to individually hold the upper threads 14 from the respective balance members 37 toward the respective needle bars 19 at the respective front positions of the respective needle bars 19 is provided. Since the plurality of needle bars 19 in the retracted position are sewn, the upper threads 14 directed from the balance member 37 to the needle 20 are held during sewing, and the needle threads 19 of the needle bars 19 are opened. This has the effect of preventing the removal.

In addition, the upper thread holding state of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 related to the one needle bar 19 that has been selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole is the upper thread releasing that includes the releasing member 85c for releasing this. There is an effect that the holding can be released by the mechanism 82 and the upper thread 14 can be moved from the balance member 37 toward the needle 20 and can be quickly used for sewing.

Further, in the state where the needle bar is located at the retracted position, each upper thread 14 is individually held by the upper thread holding mechanism 59 provided correspondingly as described above. Each upper thread holding mechanism 59 is provided with a finger pressure portion 75 so that the nipping portion 72 of the upper thread 14 at one end of the presser lever 70 can be lifted with a fingertip. There is also an operational advantage that the upper thread 14 can be moved from the balance member 37 toward the needle 20 by arbitrarily releasing the holding state by the thread holding mechanism 59.

Further, in the present invention, when the nipping portion 72 of the upper thread 14 at one end of the presser lever 70 is lifted with a fingertip, the acupressure part 75 is exposed to the front side as shown in FIG. Therefore, there is also a work convenience that can be operated accurately and promptly during work.

In addition, the pinched portion 72 of the upper thread 14 at one end of the presser lever 70 is pulled out of the needle hole by a large vibration caused by abrupt movement of the lateral movement frame 5 during thread change in the sewing process. Even if it is urged in one direction with a strong force,
In this lifting (lifting) operation, a shiatsu part 75 is provided at the other end of the presser lever 70, and using the lever principle, the clamping part 72 of the upper thread 14 is lifted (lifted) with a light pressing force. Since the operation can be performed, there is a work advantage that even a woman and a girl can lift (lift) the pinched portion 72 of the upper thread 14 by a pressing operation with a thin fingertip.

Furthermore, as described above, the present invention is provided with the upper thread holding mechanism 59 so that each upper thread 14 can be held in the state where each needle bar is in the retracted position. The upper thread holding mechanism 59 relating to one needle bar 19 that is selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole is provided with a release member 85c so that the needle thread can be released by a fingertip operation using the presser lever 70. The upper thread release mechanism 82 is operated to release the holding of the upper thread 14. In order to operate the presser lever 70 in each upper thread holding mechanism 59 with the release member 85 c of the upper thread release mechanism 82. In order to support the transmission rod 80, the intermediate portion of the transmission rod 80 is supported by the support hole 5g of the base member 5c, and the connecting portion 76 of the presser lever 70 in which the front side of the transmission rod 80 is brought close to the support hole 5g. After supporting the transmission rod 80 When the passive portion 80a is held in the predetermined position and is selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole, it can be driven by the release member 85c in the upper thread release mechanism 82. The projecting dimension L6 of the projecting portion 80d of the transmission rod 80 projecting forward from the support hole 5g of the member 5c is very small.
This makes it possible to set the position of the connecting portion 76 for supporting the front side 80c of the transmission rod 80 close to the base member 5c, thereby reducing the protrusion of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 to the front side. There is an epoch-making work effect that can prevent the worker from hindering work when clothing on the front side of the sewing machine.

Furthermore, according to the construction of claim 2, the base member 5c and one end of the presser lever 70 are pressed against each other by the strong spring force of the winding spring 78 in a plurality of winding states to prevent the upper thread 14 from passing between them. Can be performed with high reliability, and by using the winding spring 78 in a multi-turned state, the thread end 14a of the upper thread inserted through the needle hole of the needle in the resting needle bar is easily sandwiched and held. There is also a combined effect that can be used.

Furthermore, according to the configuration of the third aspect, the upper thread 14 passing between the base member 5c and one end of the presser lever 70 and the transmission rod 80 for opening the presser lever 70 are separated from each other. Therefore, even if the upper thread 14 has long fluffy feet, there is no unexpected situation such as being caught in the transmission rod 80 where the upper thread 14 advances and retreats, and there is an effect that the upper thread 14 can be accurately advanced and stopped. .

1 and 2, 2 is a base frame in the multi-needle sewing machine 1, 3 is a bed, 3a is a needle drop hole, and 4 is a known main shaft. Reference numeral 5 denotes a lateral movement frame that is provided so as to be able to reciprocate in the lateral direction (in the direction of arrow 66 in FIG. 2) with respect to the base frame 2. The lateral movement frame 5 has a known configuration, for example, by placing its own hooking member 5b on the guide rail 6 in the base frame 2 and engaging the hooking claws 5a with the engagement claws 2a in the base frame 2 as shown in FIG. A reciprocating motion in the direction of arrow 66 is freely configured. Reference numeral 7 denotes a lateral drive shaft connected to the lateral motion frame 5, and selectively moves one needle bar 19 of the plurality of needle bars 19 with respect to the needle drop hole position (naturally, the balance mechanism 30 has In the case where the balance member 37 is also moved integrally), it is made to reciprocate in the direction of the arrow 66 by a known driving means. In the case where a plurality of multi-needle sewing machines 1 are arranged in parallel, as is well known, the lateral drive shaft 7 is connected to the respective lateral movement frames 5, and the lateral movement frames of the multiple multi-needle sewing machines are connected. 5 is linked.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 (as is well known), the multi-needle sewing machine 1 has a needle bar mechanism in which a plurality of needle bars 19 (15 are shown in the figure) are arranged in parallel. The needle bar device 10 having 18 and the upper thread supply means 9 for supplying the upper thread 14 toward the plurality of needle bars 19 are provided. Further, in each upper thread passage 15 between the upper thread supply means 9 and the needle bar mechanism 18, a balance device 11 including a balance mechanism 30 in which a plurality of balance members 37 are arranged in parallel is arranged. is there.
As is well known, the multi-needle sewing machine 1 is configured so that one needle bar 19 of a plurality of side-by-side needle bars 19 in the needle bar mechanism 18 is moved by moving the lateral movement frame 5 above the needle hole. The other needle bar 19 is kept in the retracted position, and is selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole among the plurality of juxtaposed balance members 37. The balance member 37 for supplying the upper thread 14 to the needle bar 19 is also selectively moved to the upper position of the needle hole and synchronously with the needle bar 19 at the upper position of the needle hole (shown in FIG. 11). It is made to move up and down by the related operation.
As is well known, the upper thread 14 is guided from the upper thread supply means 9 in the order of the thread paths 16a, 16b, 41, 16c toward the needle hole 20a of the needle 20.

Next, the needle bar device 10 will be described.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the needle bar device 10 includes a needle bar mechanism 18 provided in the lateral movement frame 5 and a needle bar driving means 23 provided in the base frame 2.
In the needle bar mechanism 18, reference numeral 19 denotes a plurality of needle bars supported so as to be movable up and down with respect to the lateral movement frame 5, and 20 denotes a needle. Reference numeral 21 denotes an engaging portion which includes an engaging groove 21a for engaging with an engaging pin 29a of the elevating body 29 in the needle bar driving means 23. Reference numeral 22 denotes a known cloth presser member.

Next, the needle bar driving means 23 is selectively moved to a position above the needle drop hole 3a by laterally moving the lateral movement frame 5 among the plural needle bars 19 arranged in parallel in the needle bar mechanism 18. One needle bar can be selectively driven up and down. The needle bar driving means 23 may be any known configuration. For example, when the main shaft 4 rotates, the eccentric cam 24 and the crank rod 25 are also interlocked, and the link 26 swings about the shaft 26a. This movement is transmitted to the elevating body 29 via the lever 27, and the elevating body 29 moves up and down along the guide bar 28 attached to the base frame 2. The engagement pin 29a of the elevating body 29 is engaged with the needle bar 19 engagement groove 21a that has been selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole, so that among the plurality of needle bars 19 in the needle bar mechanism 18, The needle bar 19 that has been selectively moved to a position above the needle drop hole 3a is moved up and down.

Next, the balance device 11 will be described. The balance device 11 may be any device as long as it operates in synchronism with the operation of the needle bar 19 as described above. For example, known balance devices including Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-249085 may be opened. Therefore, an example will be described below.
The balance device 11 includes a balance drive means 52 provided in the base frame 2 and a balance mechanism 30 provided in the lateral movement frame 5.
The balance driving means 52 selectively moves the balance member 37 for supplying upper thread to one needle bar which is selectively moved to the position above the needle drop hole among the balance members 37 in parallel. A swing arm 55 for driving is provided.
The balance driving means 52 may have any known configuration. For example, when the main shaft 4 rotates, the balance cam 53 is also interlocked, and one end 54b of the transmission lever 54 fitted in the cam groove 53a swings. The transmission lever 54 swings about the shaft 54a. This movement is transmitted to the swing arm 55 via the driver 54c and the passive portion 57, and the swing arm 55 swings about the swing shaft 56. By this movement, the linking part 58 is detachably fitted to the linking part 42, whereby the balance member 37 is moved up and down within a range of a predetermined vertical amplitude dimension L1 as shown in FIG.

The balance mechanism 30 includes a surface cover 31, a balance member 37, and a holding unit 45.
The surface cover 31 is configured to cover the surface of the balance mechanism 30 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, for example, and the shape from the front is shown in FIG. 2, and the shape from the side surface (cross section) is shown in FIG. It has a very curved configuration. In this figure, reference numeral 31a denotes a frame portion, and 31b denotes an upper thread rampage prevention portion, which is integrally formed of a known hard material (for example, a metal material, a synthetic resin material, etc.). The plate thickness of the front cover 31 may be about 2 to 3 mm, for example.
The front cover 31 is connected to the lateral movement frame detachably with an arbitrary fixing tool such as a screw using an attachment hole 35a of the coupling portion 35 at the upper part of the front cover 31. Further, the lower end 36 of the front cover 31 is engaged and connected in a state of being inserted into a concave groove 8a formed on the upper side of the needle bar cover 8 attached to the lateral movement frame 5 (see FIG. 3). . Thereby, the front cover 31 reciprocates integrally with the lateral movement frame 5.

In the rampage prevention portion 31b, a plurality of guide strips 34 are provided in parallel. The guide strips 34 are formed on both sides of the guide groove 33 (see FIGS. 2 and 6).
Each guide strip 34 for supporting the yarn path guide member provided in the plurality of juxtaposed states is long so that at least “predetermined vertical amplitude dimension L1” can be obtained by directing the balance member 37 in the vertical direction. It is formed.
The curvature of the guide strip 34 formed on the surface cover 31 is formed along an arc centering on the axis 56a of the shaft 56 of the swing arm 55 in FIG. Therefore, the distance between the connecting portion 42 and the shaft center 56a when the balance member 37 moves up and down along the curved surface of the guide strip 34 is always constant. In the case where a device for converting a swing motion into a linear motion (for example, a mechanism such as the lifting body 29) is interposed between the transmission lever 54 and the connecting portion 42 so as to be installed in the needle bar device 10. The surface cover 31 may be in a straight state.
Each of the surface members 32 for preventing the upper thread irregularity existing between the plurality of guide grooves 33 arranged in parallel on the surface cover 31 is rapidly moved up and down along the guide strip 34. By doing this, even if the upper thread is in a state of being violated, it is possible to receive the violence of the upper thread with the surface member 32 in the surface cover 31 and relieve the violence of the upper thread.

Next, a frame portion 31a for supporting the plurality of juxtaposed surface members 32 in the surface cover 31 is provided on the top of the surface cover 31 as shown in FIG. Although the lower part of 32 was made into the free end, unlike this, it may be provided in the lower part in the above-mentioned surface cover 31, and may support in the state where a plurality of surface members 32 arranged in parallel are connected in the lower part. Alternatively, the upper frame portion 31a may be omitted, and the upper portion of the plurality of surface members 32 arranged side by side may be free ends and the upper portion of the groove 55 may be opened.

Next, a plurality of balance members 37 arranged side by side in the balance mechanism 30 include the above-described upper thread guide yarn path member 40 on the front side of each base portion 38. Reference numeral 41 denotes a yarn path formed on the yarn path member 40. On the back side of the balance member 37, when facing the swing arm 55, the swing member 55 is reciprocated in the vertical direction by swinging the swing arm 55 in the vertical direction. A linking part 42 is provided to allow easy connection / disconnection.

The base portion 38 positioned between the yarn path member 40 and the connecting portion 42 is a “predetermined upper and lower” guided by the guide strips 34 with respect to the guide strips 34 in the surface cover 31 in the plural juxtaposed state. A vertical movement of “amplitude dimension L1” is freely mounted.
Specifically, reference numeral 39 shown in FIGS. 5, 6 </ b> A and 6 </ b> B denotes a loose fitting portion formed in a concave groove shape with respect to the base portion 38. The loose fitting portion 39 is formed in a corresponding shape that can be engaged with the guide strips 34 on both sides of the guide groove 33 in the surface cover 31, and is formed on the guide strip 34 as shown in FIGS. It is mounted in an engaged state. The balance member 37 moves up and down between the “predetermined vertical amplitude dimension L1” along the guide strip 34 having a predetermined curvature.

The balance member 37 is integrally formed of a well-known hard material (for example, a strong synthetic resin material or light metal material having a small specific gravity. From the surface cover 31 of the yarn path member 40 on the surface side of the balance member 37. Further, the length of the connecting portion 42 provided on the back side only needs to be short enough to be fitted to the connecting portion 58 of the swing arm 55. The entire length L3 of the member 37 is formed (for example, about 26 to 29 mm).

The holding means 45 in the balance mechanism 30 excludes the balance member 37 located above the needle drop hole among the plurality of balance members 37 that are mounted and supported by the plurality of side-by-side guide strips 34 so as to be vertically movable. This is for holding the other balance member 37 so as not to descend at the raised position U.
Specifically, 46 in FIGS. 1, 3, 5, 6 (B) denotes a holding member as the holding means 45, which is attached to the base frame 2, for example, a screw or the like using an attachment hole of the fixing portion 49. It is fixed with any fixing tool. In the holding member 46, 47 is a plate-like latching portion, and is formed to a length corresponding to the length over the lateral movement range of the balance mechanism 30 as is well known. Reference numeral 48 denotes a notch-shaped non-latching portion formed in the latching portion 47, and as shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, at a position corresponding to the locking portion 43 of the balance member 37 located above the needle drop hole. Is formed. As shown in FIG. 6B, the width dimension W2 is set to be narrow within a range in which the locking portion 43 of the balance member 37 can pass, and the lock of one balance member 37 selected at the upper position of the needle drop hole is locked. The vertical movement of the portion 43 is not prevented.
On the other hand, the linkage portion 58 of the swing arm 55 is disposed below the non-latching portion 48 of the latching portion 47, and the width dimension W1 thereof is wider than the width dimension of the linkage portion 42. The balance member 37 moving to the upper position of the needle hole or the position of the balance member 37 escaping leftward or rightward from the upper position of the needle hole, that is, the balance member 37 toward the retracted position, should not be accidentally dropped. It is.
One of the multiple balance members 37, which is selected at the upper position of the needle drop hole, is moved up and down as the swing arm 55 swings. As shown in FIG. 6B, the locking portion 43 and the latching portion 47 are fitted and maintained in the raised position U.

Next, the upper thread holding device 12 in the multi-needle sewing machine 1 will be described. The upper thread holding device 12 includes a plurality of upper thread holding mechanisms 59 provided in the lateral movement frame 5 and an upper thread releasing mechanism 82 provided in the base frame 2.
As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 7, and 8, the plurality of upper thread holding mechanisms 59 are provided in parallel at the front positions of the needle bars 19, and are connected to the lateral movement frame 5. Each of the upper threads 14 supported by the front surface of the base member 5c and directed from the balance members 37 toward the needles 20 of the needle bars 19 can be individually held and released.
As shown in the figure, the base member 5c is connected to the lateral movement frame 5 through an attachment hole of the connecting portion 5d with an arbitrary fixing tool such as a screw. In addition, even if the lateral movement frame 5 has a laterally movable configuration such as the holding body disclosed in Patent Document 1, the lateral movement frame 5 may be attached along the outer periphery and the upper thread holding mechanism 59 may be configured on the front surface thereof. Next, 5f denotes a pivot for supporting the presser lever 70, and as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, it is supported by a take-out arm 5e taken out from the base member 5c to the front side. Reference numeral 5g denotes a support hole for penetrating the transmission rod 80 from the front side to the back side of the base member 5c. Reference numeral 5j denotes a through hole for positioning one end 78a of the biasing spring 78.

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, each of the upper thread holding mechanisms 59 has a presser lever 70 pivotally attached to the base member 5c at an intermediate position at the front position of the base member 5c. I have. One end 70a of the presser lever 70 can be freely pressed and separated with respect to the base member 5c. At the same time, the receiving part 5h of the base member 5c and the clamping portion 72 at the one end 70a of the presser lever 70 are always used. One end 70a of the presser lever 70 is urged toward the base member 5c so that the upper thread 14 passing between the two can be clamped.
Specifically, reference numeral 71 denotes a pivot attachment portion formed at a substantially intermediate position of the presser lever 70. The pivot attachment portion 71 is attached to the pivot shaft 5f by inserting the through hole 71a, and is rotatable about the pivot shaft 5f. The position of the pivoting portion 11 may be any position that allows the presser lever 70 to be freely pressed and separated from the base member 5c, and any appropriate position between the one end 70a and the other end 70b of the presser lever 70. What is necessary is just to form.
Means for urging one end of the presser lever 70 toward the base member 5c so that the upper thread 14 passing between the base member 5c and one end 70a of the presser lever 70 can be clamped is well-known. A force means may be used. As well-known urging means, for example, urging means using a leaf spring may be used, and further, a tension spring may be disposed between the lateral movement frame 5 and the presser lever 70 for urging.
Further, means for urging one end of the presser lever 70 toward the base member 5c so that the upper thread 14 passing between the base member 5c and one end of the presser lever 70 can be clamped is shown in the drawing. It may be as follows. That is, the take-out arm 5e is taken out from the base member 5c, the pivot 5f for supporting the presser lever 70 is supported by the take-out arm 5e, and the wound spring 78 in a plurality of turns is wound by the pivot 5f. The front part of the state is exposed forward, and the upper thread 14 is supported from the front side so as to be sandwiched between the strands 78a of the winding spring 78. As shown in FIGS. 78a may be linked to the through hole 5j in the base member 5c, and the other end 78b may be linked to the presser lever 70 side. Reference numeral 74 in the presser lever 70 indicates a through hole 74 for inserting the one end 78 a of the winding spring 78.
In the case of such a configuration, as shown in FIG. 12, the upper thread thread inserted through the needle hole of the resting needle bar is used as shown in FIG. It can also be used as an upper thread hook for easily holding the yarn end 14a between the strands 78a and 78a.

A finger pressure unit 75 is provided at the other end 70 b of the presser lever 70 so that the fingertip 89 can lift the one end 70 a of the presser lever 70. The outer shape of the acupressure part 75 may be formed so as to be easily pressed by the fingertip 89 from the front side as shown in the figure.
Further, the presser lever 70 is provided with a connecting portion 76 for connecting the front side member 80c of the transmission rod 80 on the side opposite to the acupressure portion 75 with the pivoting portion 71 of the presser lever 70 therebetween. . Reference numeral 73 denotes a through-hole-shaped thread guide part for guiding the upper thread 14 from the yarn path 16c to the needle 20 so as to pass between the receiving part 5h and the clamping part 72. 77, a stopper for stopping the rotation of the presser lever 70 at a position where the upper thread 14 can be passed between the presser lever 70 and the base member 5c as shown in FIG. Indicates.
The positional relationship between the acupressure part 75 and the clamping part 72 and the connecting part 76 in the presser lever 70 may be symmetrically arranged with the pivoting part 71 in between. The acupressure part 75 is arranged in the opposite position, that is, the upper side of the presser lever 70, and the clamping part 72 and the connecting part 76 are arranged on the opposite side (lower side) of the acupressure part 75 with the pivot part 71 therebetween. May be.

Next, reference numeral 80 denotes a transmission rod for transmitting the movement of the release member 85 c in the upper thread release mechanism 82 to the presser lever 70. In the support hole 5g, the transmission rod 80 is supported by supporting the intermediate portion of the transmission rod 80 having the front member 80c connected to the connecting portion 76 of the presser lever 70 so that the intermediate portion of the transmission rod 80 can be moved forward and backward. A certain passive portion 80a is held in a predetermined position. When the upper thread holding mechanism 59 related to the needle bar 19 that has been selectively moved to the upper position of the needle hole is moved to the upper position of the needle hole, the transmission rod 80 is moved to the upper position as shown in FIG. The yarn can be driven by a release member 85c in the yarn release mechanism 82.
Since the transmission rod 80 is supported in this way, the protruding dimension L6 of the protruding portion 80d of the transmission rod 80 protruding forward from the support hole 5g of the base member 5c is very small.

Next, as shown in FIGS. 7 to 10, the position of the support hole 5g for penetrating and supporting the transmission rod 80 is the top of the base member 5c facing the base member 5c. Avoiding the position of the presser lever 70 that allows the thread 14 to be clamped, it is provided at a side position of the presser lever 70, and the transmission rod 80 supports the intermediate portion 80b in the support hole 5g so as to be able to advance and retract. The front member 80 c of the transmission rod 80 may be connected to the side of the presser lever 70.
In such a configuration, the upper thread 14 passing between the base member 5c and one end of the presser lever 70 and the transmission rod 80 for opening the presser lever 70 are separated from each other. Even if the upper thread 14 has long fluffy feet, there is no unexpected situation such as being caught in the transmission rod 80 where the upper thread 14 advances and retreats, and the upper thread 14 can be advanced and stopped accurately.

Next, the upper thread release mechanism 82 includes a release member 85c for releasing the upper thread holding state of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 related to one needle bar 19 that has been selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole. doing.
In the upper thread releasing mechanism 82, 83 shown in FIGS. 7 and 9 is a solenoid, and 84 is its plunger. Reference numeral 85 denotes a lever pivotally attached to the base frame 2 with a shaft 85a.
By the operation of the solenoid 83, the plunger 84 projects in the direction of the arrow 87 in FIG. 7, and the lever 85 is swung in the direction of the arrow. As a result, the release member 85c moves in the direction of the arrow, and pushes and drives the passive portion 80a of the transmission rod 80 as shown in FIG.

Operations of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 and the upper thread releasing mechanism 82 in the upper thread holding device 12 having the above-described configuration will be described.
In the sewing process, for the plurality of needle bars 19 in the retracted position, as shown in FIG. 7, the upper thread 14 from the balance member 37 to the needle 20 is connected to the receiving portion 5 h of the base member 5 c and the presser lever 70. The upper portion 14 is held in the clamping state by the clamping portion 72, and the vertical movement of the upper thread 14 is prevented. Therefore, when thread is changed in the sewing process, even if there is vibration due to a sudden lateral movement of the lateral movement frame 5, it is possible to prevent the needle bar 19 from being pulled out from the needle hole.
On the other hand, the upper thread holding state of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 related to one needle bar 19 selectively moved to the upper position of the needle drop hole is as follows. As described above, the release member 85c pushes and drives the passive portion 80a of the transmission rod 80 by the operation of the solenoid 36 in the upper thread release mechanism 82. As a result, as shown in FIG. 9, the clamping portion 72 of the presser lever 70 is separated from the receiving portion 5h of the base member 5c to release its holding. Therefore, the upper thread 14 can be moved from the balance member 37 toward the needle 20 and can be used for sewing.
Next, with respect to the needle bar 19 in the retracted position while the multi-needle sewing machine 1 is stopped, an operation for individually releasing the holding state of the upper thread 14 in order to move the upper thread 14 from the balance member 37 toward the needle 20. explain.
As shown in FIG. 7, the fingertip 89 is applied to the acupressure part 75 of the upper thread holding mechanism 59 and pushed in the direction of the arrow. Then, as shown in FIG. 10, the clamping portion 72 of the presser lever 70 floats away from the receiving portion 5 h of the base member 5 c, the holding state of the upper thread 14 is released, and the movement toward the needle 20 is performed. It becomes possible.
When performing this operation, the acupressure part 75 is exposed to the front side of the sewing machine 1 as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, and can be operated accurately and promptly. Further, the lifting (lifting) operation is performed by providing a shiatsu portion 75 on the other end of the presser lever 70 (on the opposite side of the pinching portion 72 with respect to the pivot portion), and utilizing the lever principle.
