Description
第9の発明(請求項1の発明)に従う表示装置は、第1ガラス基板、その一方主面である第1面の一部領域が第1ガラス基板の一方主面である第2面と対面する第2ガラス基板、および第2ガラス基板の他方主面である第3面と対面する第4面を有する第1支持部材を備え、第1面の第2面と対面している対面領域側の少なくとも一部において、第3面と第4面は偏光板を介して対面し、第1面の第2面と対面していない非対面領域側において、第1支持部材の第4面の端部に、その凹みが非対面領域端部側ほど増すような傾斜または段差を有する第1凹部が形成されたことで、第3面と第4面との間の距離が対面領域側と比べて非対面領域側で相対的に大きい。
第10の発明(請求項2の発明)は、第9の発明に従属し、第1支持部材の第1凹部の対面領域側の端部において、第3面と第4面の間に前記非対面領域端部側ほど広い空間があることを特徴とする。

Claims (2)
- 第1ガラス基板、
その一方主面である第1面の一部領域が前記第1ガラス基板の一方主面である第2面と対面する第2ガラス基板、および
前記第2ガラス基板の他方主面である第3面と対面する第4面を有する第1支持部材を備え、
前記第1面の前記第2面と対面している対面領域側の少なくとも一部において、前記第3面と前記第4面は偏光板を介して対面し、前記第1面の前記第2面と対面していない非対面領域側において、前記第1支持部材の前記第4面の端部に、その凹みが非対面領域端部側ほど増すような傾斜または段差を有する第1凹部が形成されたことで、前記第3面と前記第4面との間の距離が前記対面領域側と比べて前記非対面領域側で相対的に大きい、表示装置。 - 前記第1支持部材の前記第1凹部の前記対面領域側の端部において、前記第3面と前記第4面の間に前記非対面領域端部側ほど広い空間があることを特徴とする、請求項1記載の表示装置。
