Description
第1段階として、イオン交換水700gを3Lフラスコに投入して窒素気流下で内部温度を70℃まで加熱した。コア形成単量体のイソブチルメタクリレート及びメチルメタクリレートの混合物240g、及びナトリウムジオクチルパースルホサクシネート2gの混合溶液を調製した。この混合溶液30質量%のみをリアクタに加え、15分間200rpmで撹拌した。その後、過硫酸カリウム溶液15mLを加え、60分間撹拌しながら重合を行ってシードを形成させた。
最外殻層の単量体組成を表1のように変更した点を除き、実施例1と同様な方法によりコア/シェル/最外殻層構造のアクリル系高分子ビーズを製造した。

コアの単量体組成中でイソブチルメタクリレートに代わってn−ブチルメタクリレート
を使用した点を除き、実施例1と同様な方法によりコア/シェル/最外殻層構造のアクリ
ル系高分子ビーズを製造した。
第1段階として、イオン交換水700gを3Lフラスコに投入して窒素気流下で内部温度を70℃まで加熱し、コア形成単量体であるイソブチルメタクリレート及びメチルメタクリレートの混合物240g、及びナトリウムジオクチルパースルホサクシネート2gの混合溶液を調製した。この混合溶液30質量%のみをリアクタに加え、15分間200rpmで撹拌した。その後、過硫酸カリウム溶液15mLを加え60分間撹拌しながら重合を行ってシードを形成させた。
最外殻層の単量体組成を表1のように変更した点を除き、実施例1のような方法によりアクリル系高分子ビーズを製造した。
Claims (11)
- コア/シェル/最外殻層構造のアクリル系高分子ビーズであって、
単独重合体のガラス転移温度(Tg)が50℃以下の単量体を50〜90重量%含有するコア形成単量体の乳化重合により形成されるコアと、
単独重合体のガラス転移温度が50℃以上の単量体を60〜90重量%含有するシェル形成単量体の乳化重合により形成されるシェルと、
前記コア形成単量体及び前記シェル形成単量体からなる群から選択される一つ以上の単量体及びアクリル酸の乳化重合により形成される最外殻層と、を含み、
コア/シェル/最外殻層の単量体の含量比は50〜80:10〜40:10〜20質量%であり、アクリル酸の含量は最外殻層を形成する単量体を基準に5〜20質量%である、アクリル系高分子ビーズ。 - 平均粒径は10〜100μmである請求項1に記載のアクリル系高分子ビーズ。
- 重量平均分子量(Mw)が100,000〜2,000,000g/molの範囲内である請求項1に記載のアクリル系高分子ビーズ。
- コア形成単量体は炭素数1〜8のアルキル基を有するアクリル酸エステル、炭素数1〜4のアルキル基を有するメタクリル酸エステル、及びメタクリル酸ヒドロキシアルキルエステルからなる群より選択される1種以上である請求項1に記載のアクリル系高分子ビーズ。
- シェル形成単量体は炭素数1〜4のアルキル基を有するメタクリル酸エステル及びメタクリル酸ヒドロキシアルキルエステルからなる群より選択される1種以上である請求項1に記載のアクリル系高分子ビーズ。
- 請求項1記載のアクリル系高分子ビーズを製造する方法であって、
イオン交換水、単独重合体のガラス転移温度(Tg)が50℃以下の単量体を50〜90質量%含有するコア形成単量体5〜60質量%、及び乳化剤をリアクタに添加して昇温し、水溶性開始剤を投入して1〜4時間重合させてシードを形成する第1段階と、
残量のコア形成単量体を滴加し、1〜6時間反応をさらに進行させてコア層を形成する第2段階と、
単独重合体のガラス転移温度が50℃以上の単量体を60〜90質量%含有するシェル形成単量体を滴加し、2〜4時間反応をさらに進行させてシェル層を形成する第3段階と、
前記第3段階の後、前記コア形成単量体及び前記シェル形成単量体からなる群から選択される一つ以上の単量体、アクリル酸、及び乳化剤を含む混合溶液を滴加し、開始剤を加え2〜4時間反応をさらに進行させて最外殻層を形成する第4段階と、
前記第4段階後に得られたエマルジョンを噴霧乾燥又は塩析する第5段階と、
を含む方法。 - 第4段階の後、エマルジョンの平均粒径は0.4〜0.7μmである請求項6に記載の方法。
- 請求項1のアクリル系高分子ビーズ、充填剤、可塑剤、接着増進剤を含む自動車アンダーボディコーティング用アクリルゾル組成物。
- アクリル系高分子ビーズ100質量部を基準に、可塑剤100〜200質量部、充填剤110〜180質量部、接着増進剤10〜30質量部、顔料0〜10質量部を含む請求項8に記載の自動車アンダーボディコーティング用アクリルゾル組成物。
- ブルックフィールド粘度計No.7スピンドルを用いて20℃、20rpmの条件で測定した初期粘度が30,000〜80,000cpsである請求項8に記載の自動車アンダーボディコーティング用アクリルゾル組成物。
- 40℃、95%恒温恒湿機に14日間保管した後に20℃、20rpmの条件でブルックフィールド粘度計NO.7スピンドルを用いて測定した粘度の増加率が初期粘度対比50%未満である請求項8に記載の自動車アンダーボディコーティング用アクリルゾル組成物。
