Description
Biは、アルミニウムへの固溶量が極めて少ないため、アルミニウムマトリックス中に分散して存在する。Biは低融点元素であり、切削時の加工発熱によりアルミニウムマトリックス中に分散している低融点元素のBi晶出物の強度が低下し、穴あけ時の切削抵抗を小さくすることができる。Biの好ましい含有量は0.6〜2.0%の範囲であり、0.6%未満ではその効果が少なく、2.0%を超えるとBi晶出物が多くなり切削表面がむしれ易くなる。Biのより好ましい含有範囲は1.0を超え1.5%未満である。
半連続鋳造により、表1に示す成分組成(A1〜T1に示す組成)を有するアルミニウム合金ビレット(直径90mm)を造塊した。その際、鋳型を鉛直方向に0.05mm、0.1mmまたは0.15mmの幅で、60Hzで振動させた。
引張性能の評価:JIS Z 2241に準拠した引張試験(試験片はJIS Z 2201、金属材料引張試験片4号試験片の備考2.による試験片)を行い、引張強さを測定した。
半連続鋳造により、表3に示す成分組成(A2〜O2に示す組成)を有するアルミニウム合金ビレット(直径90mm)を造塊した。その際、鋳型を鉛直方向に0.1mmの幅、60Hzで振動させた。なお、試験材23の作製は鋳型を振動させずに行った。
Claims (4)
- Cu:4.0〜6.0%(質量%、以下同じ)、Bi:0.6〜2.0%、Fe:0.04〜0.7%、Si:0.04〜0.7%、Ti:0.005〜0.08%を含み、残部がAl及び不可避的不純物からなるAl−Cu系アルミニウム合金であって、示差走査熱量計による熱分析により得られる熱分析曲線の吸熱ピークが、240〜300℃の温度域においては50〜500mJ/gの大きさで存在し、且つ、240℃未満の温度域においては50mJ/g以上の大きさの吸熱ピークが存在しないことを特徴とする耐熱性に優れた快削アルミニウム合金。
- 前記Al−Cu系アルミニウム合金が、さらに、Mg:0.01〜2.0%、Mn:0.01〜0.60%、Cr:0.01〜0.20%、Zr:0.01〜0.20%のうち1種または2種以上を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の耐熱性に優れた快削アルミニウム合金。
- 前記Al−Cu系アルミニウム合金のマトリックス中に存在するBi晶出物の平均粒径(円相当直径、以下同じ)が2〜13μmであることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の耐熱性に優れた快削アルミニウム合金。
- 前記Al−Cu系アルミニウム合金は、鋳型を鉛直方向に振動させて造塊されることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の耐熱性に優れた快削アルミニウム合金。
