Claims (7)
- アクティブマトリクス基板と対向基板とを有し、前記対向基板にブラックマトリクスを設けないノーマリブラックモードのアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、
前記アクティブマトリクス基板の表示領域周囲の額縁部における、近接する異電位の不透明電極の間隙が、その上層に配置された一定電位の透明電極により覆われており、
走査線を引き出す側の前記額縁部では、
前記走査線は、信号線を形成する金属からなる不透明電極に接続され、
前記不透明電極は、前記走査線の延伸方向に略直交する方向に延在し、かつ、接続された前記走査線に隣接する走査線の一方とオーバーラップしており、
前記一定電位の透明電極のエッジの一部が、前記不透明電極上に配置されていることを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1記載のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、
前記一定電位の透明電極のエッジの一部が、前記異電位の不透明電極上に配置されていることを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。 - 請求項2記載のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、
前記一定電位の透明電極と前記異電位の不透明電極とが、少なくとも1μmオーバーラップしていることを特徴するアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか一に記載のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、
前記一定電位の透明電極のエッジの一部が、前記アクティブマトリクス基板側又は前記対向基板側に配置される偏光板のエッジよりも外側に配置されることを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれか一に記載のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、
前記一定電位の透明電極のエッジの一部が、前記アクティブマトリクス基板と前記対向基板との間に挟持される液晶を封止するシールよりも外側に配置されることを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。 - アクティブマトリクス基板と対向基板とを有し、前記対向基板にブラックマトリクスを設けないノーマリブラックモードのアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、
前記アクティブマトリクス基板の表示領域周囲の額縁部における、近接する異電位の不透明電極の間隙が、その上層に配置された一定電位の透明電極により覆われており、
前記額縁部に保護トランジスタを備え、
前記一定電位の透明電極は、前記保護トランジスタのチャネル部とオーバーラップしないようにくり抜かれた穴部を備え、
前記穴部のエッジは、前記保護トランジスタのゲート電極とオーバーラップするように配置されることを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれか一に記載のアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置において、
前記アクティブマトリクス基板と前記対向基板との間に垂直配向の液晶が挟持され、
前記対向基板側に、前記アクティブマトリクス基板の前記一定電位の透明電極と同電位の透明電極が配置されることを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス型液晶表示装置。
