Description

The present invention relates to a vibration welding apparatus, and more specifically, by rotating a vibrating body or jig by 90 °, the vibration direction, the attachment direction of the jig, and the attachment when attaching a resin part to be welded to the jig. The present invention relates to a vibration welding apparatus capable of improving the degree of freedom of direction and the like.

2. Description of the Related Art A vibration welding apparatus is known in which two resin parts are brought into contact with each other while being pressurized, and frictional heat due to vibration is generated on the contact surface to weld the two resin parts. Conventionally, in such a device, the vibration is a reciprocating linear vibration in only one direction. Therefore, when designing a resin part to be welded and its jig, the vibration during welding as well as the product dimensions and the allowable product dimensions of the device. It was also necessary to consider the direction.

Under such circumstances, a welding apparatus that can vibrate in two orthogonal directions using two electromagnetic vibrators has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Since this apparatus can vibrate in two directions, the degree of freedom in designing products and jigs is higher than that of an apparatus that vibrates in only one direction. However, since this apparatus includes two upper and lower electromagnetic vibrators, the structure becomes complicated and the cost is high.
Moreover, in such an apparatus, when attaching a jig to an apparatus, it is necessary to attach a jig according to the direction at the time of welding, and set up a jig in the direction according to the direction. It was necessary to keep.

The vibrating body 11 is provided on the lower surface side of the top plate 17 f of the main body frame 17. The vibrating body 11 is provided with a pair of electromagnetic coils (not shown) therein, and vibrates by reciprocating linearly moving in one horizontal direction by alternately applying a high frequency current to the electromagnetic coils.
An upper jig 13 is detachably attached to the bottom surface side of the vibrating body 11. The upper jig 13 corresponds to the outer shape on the upper surface side of the upper member 2 so that the lower member can hold the upper member 2 which is one of the two resin components joined by vibration welding. It has a concave holding portion 13a.

A table 12 is provided below the vibrating body 11 so as to face the vibrating body 11. The table 12 is supported at its four corners by an elevating mechanism 18, and is thereby moved up and down and displaced in the direction of the vibrator 11. The lifting mechanism 18 has a servo motor 18a, two feed screws 18b driven by the servo motor 18a, and two guides 18c. The upper ends of the two feed screws 18b and the two guides 18c are attached to the table 12, respectively. Then, the table 12 is moved up and down by driving the feed screw 18b by the servo motor 18a and guiding the guide 18c. Further, the servo motor 18a changes the driving torque when the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are brought into contact with each other by raising and lowering the table 12, and arbitrarily applies pressure applied to the contact surface. Can be varied.

On the upper surface side of the table 12, a base 12a that is rotated by a stationary-side rotation mechanism 16 described later is provided. The lower jig 14 is detachably attached to the base 12a. The lower jig 14 is provided on the lower surface side of the lower member 3 so as to hold the lower member 3 which is one of the two resin components joined by vibration welding on the upper surface side. A concave holding portion 14a corresponding to the outer shape is provided.

The stationary-side rotation mechanism 16 is provided on the lower surface side of the table 12, and as shown in FIG. 3, the upper end side is fixed to the base 12a and extends downward through the table 12 (according to the present invention). It is exemplified as such a rotating member. The rotating shaft 16a pivotally supports the base 12a via a bearing 16b. A lever 16c is provided on the lower end side of the rotating shaft 16a, and one end thereof is fixed to the rotating shaft 16a. As shown in FIG. 4, the lever 16c is provided so as to extend in the centrifugal direction of the rotary shaft 16a, and the rod of the cylinder 16d is connected to the tip side thereof. With such a mechanism, the lower jig 14 attached to the base 12a rotates 90 ° around the axis A shown in FIG.
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the stationary side rotation mechanism 16 includes a position holding means 16e having a cylinder and a pin attached to the tip of the rod, and holds the position of the base 12a after the rotation. To do. The position holding means 16e holds the position by inserting a pin into a hole 12b provided at the end of the base 12a by driving the cylinder.

Vibrating side rotary mechanism 15 has the same mechanism as the stationary side rotary mechanism 16 described above, the vibrator 11 and the upper jig 13 attached thereto causes the rotation 90 °. Thereby, the vibration direction of the vibrating body 11 can be selected to either the X direction or the Y direction in FIG. Further, the vibration side rotation mechanism 15 has position holding means (not shown) similar to the stationary side rotation mechanism 16 described above, and a pin is placed in a position holding hole (not shown) provided in the vibration body 11. Insert and hold the position of the vibrator 11.

(2) Operation of Vibration Welding Device Next, the operation of the vibration welding device 1 having the above configuration will be described.

First, attachment / detachment of the upper jig 13 and the lower jig 14 will be described.
First, when attaching the jigs 13 and 14, as shown in FIG. 5 (a), the lower jig 14 with the upper jig 13 placed on the upper surface thereof is used as the base of the table 12. Attach to 12a. At this time, it is not necessary to attach the lower jig 14 and the upper jig 13 in accordance with the welding direction, and they may be attached in a state rotated by 90 °. In that case, after the lower jig 14 is fixed to the base 12a, it is rotated by the stationary rotation mechanism 16. At this time, the direction of the vibrating body 11 is selected in advance according to the vibration direction of the members 2 and 3 to be welded using the jigs 13 and 14. That is, for example, when the current vibration direction in FIG. 5A is the X direction and the vibration direction at the time of welding is the Y direction, the vibration body 11 vibrates in the Y direction by the vibration side rotation mechanism 15. Rotate beforehand. Further, when the direction of the upper jig 13 placed on the lower jig 14 is different from the direction attached to the vibrating body 11, the direction is adjusted in advance by the stationary side rotation mechanism 16. Keep it.

Next, as shown in FIG. 5B, the lifting mechanism 18 raises the table 12, the lower jig 14, and the upper jig 13 placed on the lower jig 14 to raise the upper jig 13. The upper surface side of the upper jig 13 is brought into contact with the lower surface side of the vibrating body 11, and the upper jig 13 is attached in this state.
Finally, as shown in FIG. 5C, the lower jig 14 and the table 12 are lowered. Accordingly, the lower jig 14 is attached to the table 12 side, and the upper jig 13 is attached to the vibrating body 11.
When removing the jigs 13 and 14, the above procedure is executed in reverse.

Subsequently, the joining of two members by vibration welding will be described.
First, as shown in FIG. 6A, the upper member 2 is fixed to the holding portion 13 a of the upper jig 13, and the lower member 3 is fixed to the holding portion 14 a of the lower jig 14. Then, as shown in FIG. 6B, the table 12, the lower jig 14, and the lower member 3 are raised by the lifting mechanism 18. As a result, the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 come into contact with each other and are pressurized. In this pressurized state, the vibrating body 11 is vibrated to cause friction on the contact surface between the upper member 2 and the lower member 3. Thereby, the resin of the contact surface is in a molten state. At this time, the positions of the upper jig 13 and the lower jig 14 are held by the position holding means of the vibration-side rotation mechanism 15 and the stationary-side rotation mechanism 16, and no deviation occurs due to vibration. Furthermore, even if the contact surface between the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 is in a molten state, the elevated state is maintained by the lifting mechanism 18. When the vibration is stopped when a predetermined time has elapsed, the contact surfaces of the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 that have been in a molten state are solidified again, and the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 are joined. .
Finally, as shown in FIG. 6C, when the table 12 is lowered, the upper member 2 and the lower member 3 which are joined and integrated together are also lowered.

Here, when the present apparatus 1 is incorporated in a production line, as shown in FIG. 7A, the members 2 and 3 placed on the lower jig 14 after the completion of welding are shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 7 (b), the rotation may be carried out by using the stationary side rotation mechanism 16 so that the direction is rotated by 90 ° and the apparatus 1 is carried out.
In addition, even if the allowable product size of the apparatus is limited, the jig can be installed only in the longitudinal direction (X direction), and the direction of vibration is the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (Y direction), This can be dealt with by rotating the vibrating body 11 using the vibration-side rotating mechanism 15 so as to vibrate the vibrating body 11 in the Y direction.

Further, by using the rotating mechanism, or by rotating the direction of the jig 13, 14 in accordance with the direction of the members 2 and 3 to be carried into the apparatus 1, using a rotation mechanism, after welding when unloaded from the apparatus 1 since the direction of the members 2 and 3 or can be rotated, the apparatus there is no need to separately provide a rotation process when incorporated like the one production line, to shorten the tact time and the production line length Production efficiency can be improved.
