Abstract
Description
【0001】

[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of these disadvantages, and aims to provide an optical sheet capable of shielding electromagnetic waves, and a backlight unit capable of reducing the thickness, weight, and light loss of a liquid crystal display device. To do.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention made to solve the above problems is an optical sheet comprising a transparent substrate layer and an optical layer having an optical function, and further comprising a conductive printing layer having a net-like pattern.
[0009]
Here, “transparent” is not limited to colorless and transparent, but is a concept including colored and translucent. The “base material layer” is a layer for maintaining the strength, shape and the like as an optical sheet. “Optical layer” means a layer having a predetermined optical function such as diffusion and refraction, for example, a light diffusion layer of a light diffusion sheet, a layer in which a prism portion of a prism sheet is formed, and both layers are clear. It is a concept that includes the case of being integrally molded. “A conductive print layer having a net-like pattern” means a conductive print layer laminated so as to form a net-like figure, and a net-like non-printing portion exists on the entire sheet surface.
[0010]
According to the optical sheet, in addition to exhibiting a predetermined optical function by the optical layer, conductivity is imparted by the conductive printing layer having a mesh pattern continuous over the entire sheet surface, thereby shielding electromagnetic waves generated from a lamp or the like. be able to. For this reason, it is possible to prevent the influence of the shake or flickering of the liquid crystal display screen due to electromagnetic waves, the malfunction of other instruments, and the like. In addition, since the conductive printed layer having an electromagnetic wave shielding action is a mesh pattern and a mesh-like non-printing portion is formed, a decrease in light transmittance due to the conductive printed layer is reduced, and the optical sheet of the optical sheet is reduced. Impaired function is reduced.
[0011]
The conductive printing layer may contain carbon black, silver powder or gold powder. By containing these materials, the conductivity of the conductive printing layer is increased, and the shielding action of the electromagnetic wave is promoted.
[0012]
The line width of the mesh pattern is preferably 10 μm or more and 100 μm or less, and the pitch of the mesh pattern (distance between lines, that is, the non-printed portion width) is preferably 50 μm or more and 5 mm or less, and the printing occupation ratio of the conductive printing layer is Is preferably 5% or more and 50% or less. Thus, by setting the line width of the mesh pattern, the pitch, and the print occupancy rate of the conductive print layer within the above ranges, the effect of shielding the electromagnetic wave and the decrease in light transmittance due to the conductive print layer are reduced. The action can be balanced in a high dimension.
[0013]
The conductive printing layer may be laminated on the front surface or the back surface (the front surface or the back surface of the optical sheet). Thus, by laminating the conductive printing layer on the outer surface of the optical sheet, the electromagnetic wave shielding effect can be effectively exhibited.
[0014]
On the other hand, the conductive printing layer may be laminated on the front surface or the back surface of the base material layer. Usually, since the front surface and the back surface of the base material layer are smooth, it is easiest in manufacturing to laminate a conductive print layer on the base material layer. Moreover, since a base material layer has the highest intensity | strength, heat resistance, etc. in the constituent material of an optical sheet, the temperature of a lamination | stacking target object (base material layer) can be made highest at the time of lamination | stacking of an electroconductive printing layer. Therefore, when forming the conductive printing layer, it is possible to use a conductive ink containing a large amount of a conductive material such as metal powder, and it is possible to increase the firing temperature after printing with the conductive ink. . As a result, it is possible to increase the conductivity of the conductive printing layer and thus improve the electromagnetic wave shielding effect.
[0015]
The conductive printing layer may be laminated on a bead-coated type light diffusion sheet having a binder and a light diffusing agent dispersed in the binder. In the case of such a light diffusing sheet, since the essential function is to diffuse the transmitted light uniformly, even if the transparency is somewhat lowered due to the lamination of the conductive printing layer, there is little adverse effect in terms of light diffusibility. .
[0016]
The conductive printing layer may be laminated on a prism sheet in which the optical layer has a prismatic prism portion in a stripe shape. Since the prism sheet is usually disposed on the surface side of the backlight unit, it is possible to shield electromagnetic waves at the closest point to the liquid crystal panel by laminating the conductive printing layer on the prism sheet like this means. Yes, the liquid crystal display screen can be effectively prevented from shaking and flickering.
[0017]
The optical sheet may further include an anti-sticking layer in which beads are dispersed in the binder. Such a sticking prevention layer prevents sticking with a light guide plate or the like disposed so as to overlap with the optical sheet, and interference patterns and luminance unevenness generated on the liquid crystal display screen due to sticking can be suppressed.
[0018]
Therefore, in the backlight unit for a liquid crystal display device that disperses the light emitted from the lamp and guides it to the surface side, if the optical sheet is provided, the ITO vapor deposition film or the like used in the conventional liquid crystal display device is omitted. Thus, the liquid crystal display device can be reduced in thickness, weight, and brightness.
