Description
基板と、
該基板上に設けられた発光素子の配列と、
を有する発光装置であって、前記基板が、異なる方向に向いた法線方向を有する少なくとも第1及び第2の領域を定めるような輪郭付けされた表面を有し、前記発光素子が指向性発光素子を有し、これら発光素子が前記第1及び第2の領域上に設けられ、これにより第1及び第2の光放出方向を定めるような発光装置が提供される。
− デュアルビュー表示器用の三角形突起。当該光源の全体的面に対する傾斜角度は、表示器が自動車の中間コンソールに装着されるような自動車用途に対しては15から50度の範囲にすることができる。
− 鋸歯状突起。図9に示すように、大きな三角形状を置換するために、一群の鋸歯状突起を使用することができる。
− 図10に示すように、マルチビュー又は3D表示器用として、異なる傾斜角度を持つ一群の突起を備える三角形状又は鋸歯状の突起。
Claims (16)
- バックライトと、
前記バックライトに重なる表示制御装置と、
を有する表示装置であって、前記バックライトは、
基板と、
該基板上に設けられた発光素子の配列と、
を有する発光装置を有し、前記基板が、異なる方向に向いた法線方向を有する少なくとも第1及び第2の領域を定めるような輪郭付けされた表面を有し、前記発光素子が指向性発光素子を有し、これら発光素子が前記第1及び第2の領域上に設けられ、これにより第1及び第2の光放出方向を定め、前記第1及び第2の領域の各々が前記基板の複数の連続した部分を有し、これら連続した部分が互いに平行であり、各部分が赤、緑又は青色のサブピクセルに関連付けられている、表示装置。 - バックライトと、
前記バックライトに重なる表示制御装置と、
を有する表示装置であって、前記バックライトは、
基板と、
該基板上に設けられた発光素子の配列と、
を有する発光装置を有し、前記基板が、異なる方向に向いた法線方向を有する少なくとも第1及び第2の領域を定めるような輪郭付けされた表面を有し、前記発光素子が指向性発光素子を有し、これら発光素子が前記第1及び第2の領域上に設けられ、これにより第1及び第2の光放出方向を定め、前記第1及び第2の領域の各々が前記基板の複数の連続した部分を有し、これら連続した部分が互いに平行であり、各部分が赤、緑又は青色の各々のサブピクセルに関連付けられている、表示装置。 - 前記指向性発光素子の各々が、当該発光素子が取り付けられた前記基板の法線方向の周辺に集中された光出力を有するような請求項1又は請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記指向性発光素子が、当該発光素子が取り付けられた前記基板の法線方向において又は実質的に該法線方向において最大の輝度を有するような出力を有し、前記輝度が最大値の50%となる全角度が5度から50度の範囲内であるような請求項1ないし請求項3の何れか一項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記輝度が最大値の50%となる前記全角度が10度から35度の範囲内であるような請求項4に記載の表示装置。
- 前記発光素子が有機発光ダイオード装置を有するような請求項1ないし5の何れか一項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記発光素子が光学キャビティ内に位置するエレクトロルミネッセント材料を有するような請求項6に記載の表示装置。
- 前記基板は畝が形成された表面を有し、各畝の1つの表面が前記第1の領域の部分を定める一方、各畝の他の表面が前記第2の領域の部分を定めるような請求項1ないし7の何れか一項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記畝が三角形状突起を有するような請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の領域の各々が前記基板の複数の部分を有し、これら部分が互いに平行であるような請求項1ないし9の何れか一項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記各部分が畝の表面を有し、前記各色のサブピクセルが当該畝の長さに整列されているような請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記各部分が畝の表面を有し、前記各色のサブピクセルが当該畝の長さに沿って交互に位置するような請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- マルチビュー表示装置を有し、当該表示装置が前記少なくとも第1及び第2の領域上に設けられた前記発光素子を使用して少なくとも第1及び第2の画像を表示するように作用する請求項1ないし12の何れか一項に記載の表示装置。
- 裸眼立体表示装置を有し、当該表示装置が使用時に前記第1及び第2の領域上に設けられた前記発光素子を使用してユーザの異なる目に対し第1及び第2の単眼画像を表示するように作用する請求項13に記載の表示装置。
- 前記発光装置が角度分布及び/又は空間色分布を電子的に制御することができるような制御可能な光源を有する請求項1ないし14の何れか一項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記少なくとも第1及び第2の光放出方向に対する光出力の間に幾らかの重なりが存在するような請求項15に記載の表示装置。
