Description
前記した本発明の実施形態の制御弁式鉛蓄電池において、第1のマットセパレータ4の引張強度と第2のマットセパレータ5の電解液充填率Cを様々に変化させることによって、表1に示す本発明例および比較例に制御弁式鉛蓄電池(以下、電池)を作成、これら各電池の出力特性とサイクル寿命特性を評価した。
本実施例では、表1に示した各電池を満充電とした後、20A定電流放電(終止電圧10.5V)と14.5V定電圧充電(最大充電電流30A、充電時間12時間)の放電−充電サイクルを20サイクル繰り返した後、1997年1月に刊行された、SAE J1798“RECOMMENDED PRACTICE FOR PERFORMING RATING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY MODULES”で示された条件で、25℃における出力(W、SOC50%放電開始10秒目の値)を測定した。
実施例1の電池1、電池2、電池4、電池5、電池7、電池8、電池10、電池11について、表5に示すように、極板間距離0.7mm及び1.5mmに変更した電池13〜28を作成した。

Claims (2)
- 不織布からなる第1のマットセパレータと、不織布からなる第2マットセパレータとを互いに重ね合わせた状態で正極板と負極板との間に配置し、前記第1のマットセパレータの引張強度が9N/mm2以上かつ30N/mm2以下であり、前記第2のマットセパレータの電池組み込み状態での空孔容積をA、前記空孔容積中に含まれる電解液体積をBとしたとき、(B/A)で与えられる電解液充填率Cを0.76以上とした制御弁式鉛蓄電池。
- 前記正極板と前記負極板間の距離が1.0mm以下である請求項1に記載の鉛蓄電池。
