Claims (2)
- レーザダイオードを備えるレーザシステムにおいて、前記レーザダイオードに流れるバイアス電流の値を計測する方法であって、
前記レーザダイオードのカソードからグラウンドへのバイアス電流路を完成して、前記バイアス電流が前記レーザダイオードを通って流れるようにするステップと、
前記バイアス電流路が完成しているときに、前記レーザシステムへ該レーザシステムの給電路を介して供給された電源電流の第1の値を計測するステップと、
前記レーザダイオードのカソードからグラウンドへの前記バイアス電流路を遮断して、前記バイアス電流が前記レーザダイオードに流れないようにするステップと、
前記バイアス電流路が遮断されているときに、前記レーザシステムへ前記給電路を介して供給された前記電源電流の第2の値を計測するステップと、
前記電源電流の前記第2の値と前記第1の値との間の差分を決定するステップであって、該差分が前記レーザダイオードに流れる前記バイアス電流の値となるものであるステップとを含み、
前記レーザシステムは第1の電流源を備え、
前記バイアス電流路を完成させるステップは、前記第1の電流源とグラウンドを結合するスイッチを閉じて前記第1の電流源が前記レーザダイオードからグラウンドへの前記バイアス電流を吸い込むステップをさらに含み、
前記第1の電流源は第2の電流源を備え、
前記バイアス電流路を遮断したときに、前記第2の電流源をオンさせることにより、前記給電路から前記第2の電流源が第2の電流を引き込むステップであって、前記第2の電流は、前記バイアス電流路が完成しているときに、前記第1の電流源によって引き込まれたベース漏洩電流に相当する、ステップをさらに含む方法。 - 前記レーザシステムは光検出器と第3の電流源を備え、
(1)前記光検出器と(2)前記レーザダイオードに変調電流を供給する前記第3の電流源とをオフするステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
