Claims (5)
- 排気管の途中に備えられて排気ガス中のパティキュレートを捕集するパティキュレートフィルタと、該パティキュレートフィルタの下流側に備えられて酸素共存下でも選択的にNOxをアンモニアと反応せしめる選択還元型触媒とを並列に配置し、パティキュレートフィルタの後端部から排出された排気ガスを前方に折り返して隣の選択還元型触媒の前端部に導入するS字構造の連絡流路を設け、該連絡流路の途中に尿素水を添加するための尿素水添加手段を備えた排気浄化装置であって、パティキュレートフィルタの後端部を包囲し且つ該後端部から出た排気ガスを略直角な向きに方向転換させつつ集合せしめるガス集合室と、該ガス集合室で集められた排気ガスを前方に向けて抜き出すミキシングパイプとにより前記連絡流路の上流部分を構成し、前記ミキシングパイプの後端部における周方向複数箇所に排気ガスを導入するための開口部を穿設すると共に、該各開口部の周囲を被包し且つ前記ミキシングパイプの後端面を閉塞し得るように前記ガス集合室の下流側端部を前記ミキシングパイプの後端部に接続したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
- ミキシングパイプの後端部と、該後端部周囲を取り巻くガス集合室の下流側端部との間に、前記ミキシングパイプの後端部の周囲を排気ガスが一方向に旋回するように流れを誘導する仕切板を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気浄化装置。
- ミキシングパイプの後端部と、該後端部周囲を取り巻くガス集合室の下流側端部との間の空間を、前記ミキシングパイプの後端部の周囲を排気ガスが一方向に旋回するように流れを誘導するスクロール形状を付して形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気浄化装置。
- ミキシングパイプの後端部の周囲を一方向に旋回する排気ガスに更なる旋回力を付与してミキシングパイプ内に導入し得るよう各開口部にガイドベーンを設けたことを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の排気浄化装置。
- ミキシングパイプの後端部における各開口部の開口面積を、その周囲を流れる排気ガスの上流側から下流側に向けて漸増するように調整したことを特徴とする請求項1、2、3又は4に記載の排気浄化装置。
