Claims (4)
- 電解質膜の両側に電極を配設した電解質膜・電極構造体を、一対の金属セパレータにより挟持する燃料電池であって、
前記金属セパレータは、成形加工される金属プレートと、
前記金属プレートの一方の外周面から他方の外周面を覆って前記金属プレートの両面に一体成形されるシール部材と、
を備えるとともに、
前記シール部材は、前記金属プレートの面内外周端縁部に設けられる外周湾曲部乃至外周屈曲部の一方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さが、その他の平坦部分の一方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さよりも大きく構成され、且つ前記外周湾曲部乃至前記外周屈曲部の他方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さが、その他の平坦部分の他方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さよりも大きく構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記シール部材は、前記金属プレートの端部を覆うとともに、
該端部を覆い且つ前記金属プレートの面方向の外方に向かって延在するシール部位の厚さが、前記平坦部分を覆うシール部位の厚さよりも大きく構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 電解質膜の両側に電極を配設した電解質膜・電極構造体を挟持する燃料電池用金属セパレータであって、
成形加工される金属プレートと、
前記金属プレートの一方の外周面から他方の外周面を覆って前記金属プレートの両面に一体成形されるシール部材と、
を備えるとともに、
前記シール部材は、前記金属プレートの面内外周端縁部に設けられる外周湾曲部乃至外周屈曲部の一方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さが、その他の平坦部分の一方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さよりも大きく構成され、且つ前記外周湾曲部乃至前記外周屈曲部の他方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さが、その他の平坦部分の他方の面を覆うシール部位の厚さよりも大きく構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池用金属セパレータ。 - 請求項3記載の金属セパレータにおいて、前記シール部材は、前記金属プレートの端部を覆うとともに、
該端部を覆い且つ前記金属プレートの面方向の外方に向かって延在するシール部位の厚さが、前記平坦部分を覆うシール部位の厚さよりも大きく構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池用金属セパレータ。
