Claims (2)
- 複数の気筒を列状に配置してなる多気筒内燃機関の排ガス再循環に供される排気ガス再循環装置であって、
内燃機関本体と吸気管との間に介装され、前記吸気管から前記内燃機関本体への吸気流が通過する吸気通路と、当該吸気通路に排気ガスを導入するEGR導入路とを有するEGR導入部材と、前記内燃機関本体と前記EGR導入部材との間に介装されるプレート状部材とを備え、
前記EGR導入部材は、各気筒に対応して前記吸気通路が複数設けられるとともに、当該吸気通路に対応して前記EGR導入路が複数設けられ、当該各EGR導入路が接続されるEGRチャンバと、前記吸気通路にブローバイガスを導入するブローバイガス導入路とを有し、
前記EGRチャンバは、前記気筒列の一端側に位置する前記吸気通路の上方から、前記気筒列の他端側に位置する吸気通路の上方にわたって存在する内部空間として形成され、
前記ブローバイガス導入路は、前記EGR導入部材の前記内燃機関本体側の端面に形成され、
前記全てのEGR導入路の各々は、前記EGRチャンバにおける前記吸気管側の端面近傍に形成され、前記吸気管に向けて前記吸気通路の上部に開口するとともに、その開口端に向けて断面積が増大し、その軸方向に沿って前記開口端から延長した仮想通路が前記吸気通路の前記吸気管側の開口内を通過し、
前記プレート状部材は、前記EGRチャンバの入口と対向するように前記気筒列方向に沿って配置される2つのEGR分配孔を有し、前記内燃機関本体におけるEGRガス流れ方向の上流側に位置する一方のEGR分配孔を、当該EGRガス流れ方向の下流側に位置する他方のEGR分配孔よりも大きく形成したことを特徴とする排気ガス再循環装置。 - 前記EGRチャンバは略直方体状の内部空間として形成され、当該EGRチャンバの前記吸気管側の端縁に前記EGR導入路が開口することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気ガス再循環装置。
