Description
The present invention relates to a capacitive touch panel device in which electrodes are arranged in a grid pattern and detects a touch position based on a change in an output signal of the electrode accompanying a change in capacitance according to a touch operation, in particular, a transmission electrode The present invention relates to a mutual capacitance type touch panel device that receives a charge / discharge current signal that flows through a receiving electrode in response to a drive signal to which is applied and detects a touch position based on the charge / discharge current signal.
There are various types of touch panel devices that differ in the principle of detecting the touch position. However, in a configuration in which a large number of electrodes are arranged in a panel, such as a resistive film type or a capacitance type, the electrodes are used as antennas. Because of this, it becomes easy to be affected by external noise. In particular, in the capacitance method, noise is detected by detecting the touch position using a minute change in capacitance near the electrode due to the approach or contact of a conductive object (for example, a human body). Therefore, effective noise countermeasures are desired.
As a countermeasure against noise related to such a touch panel device, conventionally, in a capacitive touch panel device, a technique for removing noise caused by a display device used in combination with the touch panel device is known (see
By the way, touch panel devices are widely used in the field of personal computers and personal digital assistants, but this touch panel device can be used in presentations and lectures for a large number of people by combining it with a large screen display device. It can be used as a so-called interactive whiteboard. In this case, if a touch panel device adopts a capacitance method, particularly a mutual capacitance method, a plurality of touch positions are detected simultaneously, so-called multi-touch (multi-inspection) The convenience can be improved.
However, in the mutual capacitance method, since the touch position is detected by a minute current flowing through the receiving electrode, the impedance on the receiving side is high and originally susceptible to external noise, but when the touch panel device becomes larger, the electrode becomes longer This makes it more susceptible to external noise.
In particular, the leader line connecting the transmission substrate and the transmission electrode that generates the drive signal to be applied to the transmission electrode becomes longer as the touch panel device becomes larger, and in order to reduce the number of transmission substrates, a small number of transmission substrates are used. When the leader lines are arranged so that the leader lines gather together, the angle of the leader lines becomes almost parallel to the receiving electrode. For this reason, the receiving electrode is easily affected by the inductive action caused by the current due to the drive signal applied to the transmitting electrode flowing in the lead wire, and a large induction noise is generated. The conventional noise countermeasure described above is not an effective solution for the induced noise generated in the receiving electrode due to the lead wire of the transmitting electrode.
In addition, the length of the leader line varies depending on the positional relationship between the transmission electrode and the transmission board. The longer the distance between the transmission electrode and the transmission board, the longer the leader line, and the length of the leader line becomes longer. Inductive noise increases in response to this. For this reason, the magnitude of the induction noise differs depending on the position, and there is a problem that the sensitivity for detecting the touch position varies greatly.
The present invention has been devised to solve such problems of the prior art, and its main purpose is caused by the inductive action caused by the current caused by the drive signal applied to the transmission electrode flowing in the lead wire. The sensitivity of touch position detection caused by the magnitude of the induced noise generated at the receiving electrode varies according to the length of the lead wire connecting the transmitting electrode and the transmitting substrate. It is an object of the present invention to provide a touch panel device configured to be able to reduce the variation of the touch panel.
A touch panel device according to the present invention includes a panel body having a touch surface, a plurality of transmission electrodes that run parallel to each other and a plurality of reception electrodes that run parallel to each other arranged in a grid pattern, and a drive signal applied to the transmission electrodes A receiving unit that receives a charge / discharge current signal of a receiving electrode in response to a drive signal applied to the transmitting electrode and outputs a level signal for each electrode intersection; and the transmitting electrode and the transmitting unit A lead portion formed with lead wires having different wiring lengths according to the positional relationship; and a CR time constant adjusting means connected to the lead portion and for adjusting a CR time constant related to the transmission electrode. constant adjusting means may be adjusted to as CR time constant wiring becomes longer of said lead lines at the lead-out portion is set larger.
According to the present invention, by setting the CR time constant related to the transmission electrode to be large, it is possible to suppress the inductive action caused by the current due to the drive signal applied to the transmission electrode flowing through the lead wire. The longer the overall length of the lead wire and the larger the induction noise generated in the receiving electrode, the greater the CR time constant and the greater the effect of reducing the induction noise. For this reason, the induction noise of the receiving electrode can be made small and uniform, thereby reducing variations in sensitivity of touch position detection.
A first invention made to solve the above problems includes a panel body having a touch surface, a plurality of transmission electrodes that run parallel to each other, and a plurality of reception electrodes that run parallel to each other arranged in a grid pattern, and the transmission a transmitting unit for applying a driving signal to the electrodes, a receiving unit for outputting a level signal for each electrode intersection receives charge and discharge current signal receiving electrodes in response to applied drive signals to said transmission electrode, said A lead part in which lead lines having different wiring lengths are formed according to the positional relationship between the transmission electrode and the transmission part, and a CR time constant adjusting means connected to the lead part and for adjusting a CR time constant related to the transmission electrode When provided with this CR time constant adjusting means may be adjusted to as CR time constant wiring becomes longer of said lead lines at the lead-out portion is set larger.
According to this, by setting a large CR time constant related to the transmission electrode, it is possible to suppress the inductive action caused by the current due to the drive signal applied to the transmission electrode flowing through the lead wire.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a panel body provided with a touch surface, wherein a plurality of transmission electrodes that are parallel to each other and a plurality of reception electrodes that are parallel to each other are arranged in a grid pattern, and the transmission A transmission unit that applies a drive signal to the electrodes, a reception unit that receives a charge / discharge current signal of the reception electrode in response to the drive signal applied to the transmission electrode, and outputs a level signal for each electrode intersection; and A lead portion in which lead wires having different wiring lengths are formed according to the positional relationship between the send electrode and the send portion, and a plurality of send electrode groups connected to the lead portion and grouped by a predetermined number of the send electrodes CR time constant adjusting means for adjusting the CR time constant of the transmission electrode for each of the transmission electrodes. The CR time constant adjusting means has a relatively long lead wire in the lead portion. And adjusting as Puhodo CR time constant is set larger.
According to this, by setting a large CR time constant related to the transmission electrode group, it is possible to suppress the inductive action caused by the current caused by the drive signal applied to the transmission electrode flowing through the lead wire. The longer the overall length of the leader line and the larger the transmission electrode group that generates large induced noise in the reception electrode, the greater the CR time constant and the greater the effect of reducing the induced noise. For this reason, the induction noise of the receiving electrode can be made small and uniform, thereby reducing variations in sensitivity of touch position detection. In addition, since the circuit provided for each transmission electrode in the transmission unit can be shared in units of groups, the manufacturing cost can be reduced .
According to a third invention for solving the above-mentioned problems, in the first or second invention , a CR circuit comprising a resistance component and a capacitance component is provided as the CR time constant adjusting means in the transmitter. The configuration is as follows.
According to this, the CR time constant related to the transmission electrode can be accurately set to an appropriate value .
A fourth invention made to solve the above-described problems is the electrode sheet according to any one of the first to third inventions, wherein the transmitting electrode and the receiving electrode are respectively disposed on each surface of a support sheet that insulates the two. The electrode sheet has the drawer portion integrally provided in the extending portion of the support sheet, and the CR time constant is adjusted on a surface opposite to the surface on which the lead wire is disposed in the drawer portion . As a means, a dummy conductive layer is provided and the dummy conductive layer is grounded.
According to this, since it is not necessary to provide a special CR circuit, the manufacturing cost can be reduced. In this case, the longer the portion of the leader line along the dummy conductive layer, the greater the capacitance associated with the leader line, and thus the CR time constant.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problems, in the fourth aspect of the present invention, the dummy conductive layer has a structure in which conductive materials are densely arranged.
According to this, the shielding effect which interrupts the magnetic field which generate | occur | produces around an electrode or an extraction line can be heightened.
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention for solving the above problems, in the fourth aspect of the present invention, the dummy conductive layer has a configuration in which a conductive material is arranged in a mesh shape.
According to this, since the conductive material is small, the manufacturing cost can be reduced when the dummy conductive layer is formed by depositing the conductive material by screen printing or the like. Further, the CR time constant of each transmission electrode can be set to an appropriate value by changing the mesh pattern according to the position.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

The

The
The
In particular, here, the mutual capacitance method is adopted, and when a drive signal is applied to the

The resistance component R is connected between the input end and the output end, and one end of the capacitance component C is connected to the output side of the resistance component R.

As described above, since the switching operation of the switching element SW is performed in parallel among a plurality of groups, the time required to receive the charge / discharge current signals of all the

The

この支持シート41の合成樹脂材料としてはPET(Polyethylene terephthalate)が好適である。

By arranging the lead lines 71 so as to be gathered substantially radially in this way, each

FIG. 7 shows one
FIG. 8 is a schematic diagram for explaining a procedure for adjusting the CR time constant by the
Here, as described above, the
In this way, by setting a large CR time constant for the
In particular, here, the
By grouping the
FIG. 9A is a diagram showing a received voltage distribution in a comparative example having a conventional configuration in which the
In the comparative example shown in FIG. 9A, the reception voltage is high at the end in the Y direction (the arrangement direction of the transmission electrodes 2), and low at the center in the Y direction. This indicates that the reception voltage, which should be substantially uniform, varies due to the influence of the induction noise, and the induction noise is large at the end portion in the Y direction and small at the center portion in the Y direction. This difference in the magnitude of the induced noise is caused by the difference in the wiring length of the
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 9B, although there is some variation in the received voltage, it is related to the position in the Y direction (the arrangement direction of the transmission electrodes 2) as compared with the comparative example shown in FIG. It can be seen that the reception voltage is substantially constant, and the variation in the reception voltage is greatly improved. This indicates that the induced noise is greatly reduced at the end in the Y direction where the induced noise is large, and that the induced noise is reduced small at the center in the Y direction where the induced noise is small. The effectiveness of adjusting the constant can be confirmed.
FIG. 10 is a schematic plan view showing another example of the electrode sheet constituting the panel
In particular, here, as shown in FIG. 10B, the dummy
In this configuration, in particular, since the dummy
In particular, here, the dummy
Further, the dummy
For this reason, by providing the dummy
The dummy
The conductive material for forming the dummy
The touch panel device according to the present invention reduces variations in the sensitivity of touch position detection caused by the magnitude of induced noise generated in the receiving electrode depending on the length of the lead wire connecting the transmitting electrode and the transmitting substrate.
