Description
以下、本発明の第1実施形態について図を参照して説明する。本実施形態で示される着座センサは、車両シートに搭載されて当該車両シートに乗員が着座したか否かを検知するために用いられるものである。
上記第1実施形態では、着座センサ10は4個のセンサセル11〜14を備えたものであるが、センサセルの数は4個に限らず、少なくとも4個備えられていればよい。例えば、着座センサ10に5個のセンサセルが備えられていても良い。この場合、センサセルの配列のうち両端の一方を基準として奇数番目に位置する3つのセンサセルのうち少なくとも2つのセンサセル同士で並列回路が形成され、偶数番目に位置する2つのセンサセルの並列回路が形成され、これらの並列回路が直列に接続されることとなる。センサセルの数が6個以上になった場合、センサセルの配列のうち両端の一方を基準とし、この基準となるセンサセルから奇数番目に位置する3つのセンサセルのうち少なくとも2つのセンサセル同士で並列回路が形成され、偶数番目に位置する3つのセンサセルのうち少なくとも2つのセンサセル同士で並列回路が形成される。そして、これらの並列回路が直列に接続されることとなる。このように、着座センサ10に複数のセンサセルが備えられたものに適用することができる。

Claims (4)
- 対向する2個の電極(19、20)が荷重を受けたときに当接することにより導通するセンサセル(11〜14)を少なくとも4個備え、前記センサセル(11〜14)が車両シート(30)の座面部(31)に配置される着座センサであって、
前記複数のセンサセル(11〜14)のうち前記車両シート(30)の前後方向の両端に位置するセンサセル(11、14)の一方を基準とすると、この基準となるセンサセル(11、14)から奇数番目に配置されたセンサセルのうち少なくとも2つのセンサセル(11、13)同士が並列接続された第1並列回路(23)と、
前記基準となるセンサセル(11、14)から偶数番目に配置されたセンサセルのうち少なくとも2つのセンサセル(12、14)同士が並列接続された第2並列回路(24)とを備え、
前記第1並列回路(23)と前記第2並列回路(24)とは直列接続されており、
前記センサセル(11〜14)は、第1センサセル(11)、第2センサセル(12)、第3センサセル(13)、および第4センサセル(14)の4個のセンサセルであり、
前記第1センサセル(11)と前記第2センサセル(12)とが導通した場合、前記第1センサセル(11)と前記第4センサセル(14)とが導通した場合、前記第3センサセル(13)と前記第2センサセル(12)とが導通した場合、前記第3センサセル(13)と前記第4センサセル(14)とが導通した場合、のいずれかによって前記第1並列回路(23)と前記第2並列回路(24)との直列回路が形成されて、乗員の着座を検知することを特徴とする着座センサ。 - 前記第1センサセル(11)、前記第2センサセル(12)、前記第3センサセル(13)、および前記第4センサセル(14)が順に一直線上に配置されており、
前記第1センサセル(11)と前記第3センサセル(13)とが並列に接続されたことにより前記第1並列回路(23)が構成され、前記第2センサセル(12)と前記第4センサセル(14)とが並列に接続されたことにより前記第2並列回路(24)が構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の着座センサ。 - 前記座面部(31)を車両の左右方向に二分割する線であると共に前記左右方向に直角の前後方向に延びる線を中心線(33)とすると、前記センサセル(11〜14)の配列は前記中心線(33)に対して傾けられることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の着座センサ。
- 前記センサセル(11〜14)の配列は、当該配列のうちの前記車両後方側が前記中心線(33)側に向くと共に、当該配列のうちの前記車両前方側が前記車両の中央側に向くように傾けられることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の着座センサ。
