Description
RCONH−R′−OH または RCON−(R′−OH)2
で示される高級脂肪酸モノまたはジアルカノールアミド、下記一般式
RCONH2
で示される高級脂肪酸アミド、下記一般式
RNH(C2H4O)xH または H(C2H4O)yN(R)(C2H4O)xH
で示されるポリオキシエチレンアルキルアミンなどがあげられる。

GPC−LALLS法により、以下の条件で測定する。
1)GPC
装置:Waters製244型ゲル浸透クロマトグラフ
カラム:東ソー(株)製TSK−gel−GMPWXL(内径8mm、長さ30cm、2本)
溶媒:0.1M−トリス緩衝液(pH7.9)
流速:0.5ml/分
温度:23℃
試料濃度:0.040%
ろ過:東ソー(株)製0.45μmマイショリディスクW−25−5
注入量:0.2ml
検出感度(示差屈折率検出器):4倍
装置:Chromatrix製KMX−6型低角度レーザー光散乱光度計
温度:23℃
波長:633nm
第2ビリアル係数×濃度:0mol/g
屈折率濃度変化(dn/dc):0.159ml/g
フィルター:MILLIPORE製0.45μmフィルターHAWP01300ゲイン:800mV
HEWLETT PACKARD製の高速液体クロマトグラフィー質量分析計(以下、LC−MASSという)HP1100MSDを用いて測定する。詳細な測定条件は、以下の通りであるが、機種および測定条件はこれに限定されるものではない。
カラム:(株)ワイエムシイー製 YMC−Pack ODS−A 150×4.6mm
I.D.
カラム温度:30℃
溶離液:0.1M酢酸アンモニウム水溶液/メタノール、グラジエント測定(25/75→0/100(15分))
流量:0.7ml/分
注入量:20μL
MASS:エレクトロンスプレーイオン化法 ネガティブモード
1gのポリビニルアルコールフィルムから、メタノールを溶剤としてソックスレー抽出を6時間行ない、抽出液をエバポレーターで濃縮乾固したのち、メタノールで定容し、上記LC−MASSを用いて高級脂肪酸を測定する。各脂肪酸の定量は、純度99%以上の各高級脂肪酸標品で調製した標準液を、同様にLC−MASS測定した値から作成した検量線を用いて、絶対検量線法で行なう。
ドラム型ロールから膜を剥離する際に、ロールへの付着で剥離できなかったものを×、4000mの長さを製膜して問題なく剥離できたものを○、さらに、巻き取った後もブロッキングがないものを◎とする。
大塚電子(株)製光散乱装置Dyna−3000を用いた。装置の概略図を図1に示す。光検出器はCCDカメラ(512×512ch)であり、ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムサンプルによるHv散乱光強度を、図1の矢印に示されるCCDのX軸方向について一次元データ測定をした。なお、測定はフィルムサンプルを装置付属のサンプルプレート(ガラス製)にはさみ、セルプレートにのせて、下記の条件で行った。
測定温度:23℃
光源:He−Neレーザー(波長λ=633nm)、
ゴニオメータ角度40°、
偏光子および検光子が0°および90°
CCD手前NDフィルター=0.1%
CCDアクセスパターン:(X)start1、end512、group4、(Y)start253、end259、group7で一次元測定を設定。

(ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムの製造)
500lのタンクに18℃の水200kgを入れ、撹拌しながら、GPC−LALLS法により求められる重量平均分子量142000、ケン化度99.8モル%のポリビニルアルコール系樹脂40kgを加え、15分間撹拌を続けた。その後一旦水を抜いたのち、さらに水200kgを加え15分間撹拌した。得られたスラリーをスーパーデカンタ(巴工業社製)により脱水し、含水率43%のポリビニルアルコール系樹脂ウェットケーキを得た。
直径(R1):3200mm、幅:4000mm、回転速度:8m/分、表面温度:90℃、T型スリットダイ出口の樹脂温度:95℃
4000mの長さにわたって製膜性を確認したところ、膜のロールからの剥離性はよく、製膜性は良好であった。そして、この膜の表面と裏面とを下記の条件にて乾燥ロールに交互に通過させながら乾燥を行なった。
直径(R2):320mm、幅:4000mm、本数(n):10本、回転速度:8m/分、表面温度:75℃
その後、さらに熱処理(条件:フローティングドライヤー(120℃、長さ6m))を行ない、4000mの長さにわたってロールへ巻き取ったのち、再度ロールより巻き出したが、ブロッキングは確認されず、製膜性は良好であった。得られたポリビニルアルコール系フィルム(幅3000mm、長さ4000m、厚さ50μm)に含まれる成分を、LC−MASSにて分析したところ、フィルムに対する炭素数10以上の脂肪酸の含有量は56ppmであり、炭素数10以上の脂肪酸含有量に対する、炭素数14以上の脂肪酸の含有量の割合は32%であった。また光散乱測定により求められた相関長は185nmであった。
得られたポリビニルアルコール系フィルムを、ヨウ素0.2g/L、ヨウ化カリウム15g/Lよりなる水溶液中に30℃にて240秒浸漬し、ついでホウ酸60g/L、ヨウ化カリウム30g/Lの組成の水溶液(55℃)に浸漬するとともに、同時に5.5倍に一軸延伸しつつ5分間にわたってホウ酸処理を行なった。その後、乾燥して偏光膜を得た。得られた偏光膜について、偏光度と単体光線透過率を、高速多波長複屈折測定装置(大塚電子(株)製:RETS−2000 波長:550nm)を用いて測定した。測定結果を表1に示す。
表1に示される以外は、実施例1と同様にして、ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムおよび偏光膜を得た(なお、実施例4においては、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂水溶液の濃度を25%とした。)。ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムの光散乱相関長および製膜性、ならびに偏光膜の偏光度および光線透過率を表1に示す。
表1に示される以外は、実施例1と同様にして、ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムおよび偏光膜を得た。ポリビニルアルコール系フィルムの光散乱相関長および製膜性、ならびに偏光膜の偏光度および光線透過率を表1に示す。
Claims (10)
- 光源として波長633nmのHe−Neレーザーを用いた光散乱測定の結果より導出される相関長が200nm以下であり、フィルム内に存在する炭素数10以上の脂肪酸の含有量が、1〜100ppmであり、フィルム内に存在する炭素数14以上の脂肪酸の含有量が、フィルム内に存在する炭素数10以上の脂肪酸の含有量に対して0.1〜40重量%であることを特徴とするポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- フィルム内に存在する炭素数10以上の脂肪酸が、ラウリン酸を含むものであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- 炭素数10以上の脂肪酸を1〜10重量%含む界面活性剤を含有することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- 重量平均分子量140000〜260000のポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- フィルム厚が30〜70μmであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4いずれか記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- フィルム幅が3m以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5いずれか記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- フィルム長さが4000m以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜6いずれか記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- 偏光膜の原反フィルムとして用いることを特徴とする請求項1〜7いずれか記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルム。
- 請求項1〜8いずれか記載のポリビニルアルコール系フィルムからなることを特徴とする偏光膜。
- 請求項9記載の偏光膜の少なくとも片面に保護膜を設けてなることを特徴とする偏光板。
