Claims (7)
- 複数の有機EL素子を配列してなる有機ELパネルの駆動装置であって、
前記有機ELパネルに配列された有機EL素子の順方向電圧に対応する電圧値を取り出すことができるモニタ用有機EL素子と、
前記モニタ用有機EL素子に対して定電流を供給する定電流源と、
前記モニタ用有機EL素子より得られる前記順方向電圧に対応する電圧値に基づいて、前記有機ELパネルに与える駆動電圧が制御される電源部と、
前記電源部からの電源電圧により駆動される前記有機ELパネルにおける消費電流値を検出し、検出した前記消費電流値に比例した制御電圧を出力する消費電流検出部と、
前記定電流源と前記モニタ用有機EL素子の間には能動素子が接続され、前記制御電圧に応じて、前記能動素子のスイッチング動作を実行し、当該能動素子のスイッチング動作により前記定電流源から前記モニタ用有機EL素子に供給する前記定電流の時間供給率を制御することで、前記モニタ用有機EL素子における経時変化の進行度合いを調整する駆動率制御部と、
を具備したことを特徴とする有機ELパネルの駆動装置。 - 前記駆動率制御部から前記能動素子に前記スイッチング動作信号を供給するように構成され、前記消費電流検出部によって得られる前記消費電流値が大きくなるに従って前記スイッチング動作信号のデューティが大きくなるように制御され、前記消費電流値が小さくなるに従って前記スイッチング動作信号のデューティが小さくなるように制御されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された有機ELパネルの駆動装置。
- 前記モニタ用有機EL素子、前記電源部、前記消費電流検出部、前記駆動率制御部、前記能動素子および前記定電流源の組み合わせは、前記有機ELパネルに含まれる有機EL素子の発光色に対応して、それぞれ独立して備えられていることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載された有機ELパネルの駆動装置。
- 前記消費電流検出部は、有機ELパネルに配列された有機EL素子のアノード側、もしくはカソード側に直列に挿入されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載された有機ELパネルの駆動装置。
- 前記電源部はPWM駆動方式のDC/DCコンバータにより構成され、前記消費電流検出部によって検出される消費電流値が、前記DC/DCコンバータにおけるスイッチング素子に加えるパルス信号のデューティ値に対応して得るよう構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載された有機ELパネルの駆動装置。
- 前記電源部はPFM駆動方式もしくはPSM駆動方式のDC/DCコンバータにより構成され、前記消費電流検出部によって検出される消費電流値が、前記DC/DCコンバータにおけるスイッチング素子に加えるパルス信号の周波数に対応して得るよう構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載された有機ELパネルの駆動装置。
- 前記モニタ用有機EL素子は、前記有機ELパネルに配列された有機EL素子と同一仕様の有機EL素子で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項6のいずれか1項に記載された有機ELパネルの駆動装置。
