Description
【0001】

Recent improvements in the accuracy of copiers and printers are remarkable, and the spread of electrophotographic color copiers and color printers in particular facilitates the forgery of various securities.
Various anti-counterfeiting measures have been considered to prevent this, and one of them is that the current color copiers and color printers have glitter, for example, the inability to reproduce metallic colors There is what I did.
[0003]
For example, as proposed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 58-168754, a bright plate such as an aluminum foil having a remarkable metallic color tone is provided on the upper surface of the base paper, and a character design is applied to the surface of the bright plate. There is a proposal of "non-copyable paper". When this is copied, the character design applied to the paper surface cannot be read because the surface of the foil is darkened when the copying machine is irradiated with light rays.
[0004]
Although this paper has the advantage that copying itself is impossible (the copy cannot be read), the disadvantage is that the metallic color is over-emphasized due to the large area occupied by the glittering plate, making it uncomfortable. In addition, there are other problems such as a complicated manufacturing process of paper and an inevitably high cost.
[0005]
In order to solve these problems, the present inventors have disclosed in JP-A-6-313298 that a partial coating layer mainly composed of a pearl pigment and an adhesive is formed on the surface of a base paper. Proposed anti-counterfeit paper. The anti-counterfeit printed matter produced using the proposed anti-counterfeit paper 1) Even if copying is attempted with a color copier, the gloss and hue of the pearl pigment layer provided on a part of the base paper cannot be reproduced. It is possible to immediately determine whether it has been forged or not. 2) Since the pearl pigment is a gentle color, there is no sense of incongruity compared to anti-counterfeit paper using a metallic-colored glitter plate. 3) Since the paper can be produced by printing technology, it can be used for small-lot production, and 4) it has excellent effects such as easy collection of papermaking fibers from used paper.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
On the other hand, an anti-counterfeit effect on anti-counterfeit paper and anti-counterfeit printed matter is increasingly required. For example, even the anti-counterfeit technology disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-313298 has a higher anti-counterfeit effect. It is requested. If a specific example is shown, the pattern by a 1st coating layer will be intermittently formed in the flow direction of a base paper, and the pattern by the 2nd coating layer from which a hue differs from a 1st coating layer will be 1st. Forgery-preventing paper in which every other pattern having a different hue is formed between the intermittent patterns of the coating layer is conceivable. This is because the anti-counterfeit effect is higher than that of the anti-counterfeit paper on which a pattern is formed in a single color, and the design effect is further enhanced when printed.
[0007]
For example, the anti-counterfeit paper schematically shown in FIG. 18 has a rectangular pattern of a, b, a, b,... Is formed. FIG. 18 shows a state in which four streaky coating layers are formed in the width direction of the base paper. In order to manufacture this anti-counterfeit paper, as shown in FIG. 19 (cross-sectional view along the line XX in FIG. 18), the first manufactured mainly with a pearl pigment of one hue and an adhesive at the first time. A pattern a (in this case, a rectangle) is intermittently printed on the base paper B using a gravure roll in which a pattern is formed with ink, and then a different hue from the first is formed between the patterns formed first. What is necessary is just to print the pattern b (rectangle) with the 2nd ink which mainly manufactured the pearl pigment and the adhesive agent.
[0008]
However, in order to manufacture this anti-counterfeit paper, it is necessary to print the pattern b in the middle of the pattern a printed intermittently at the first time while accurately controlling the pattern b at the second time. This is because even if the position of the pattern changes very little with respect to the flow direction of the base paper B at the time of printing the pattern b for the second time, if it is stacked, it will become manifest as a large printing misalignment. To avoid this, it is necessary to perform monitoring work to prevent the pattern from always shifting during printing. If there is a shift, it is necessary to adjust the printing shift by tightening or loosening the tension applied to the base paper. there were. An object of the present invention is to provide an anti-counterfeit paper that can solve such problems and an anti-counterfeit printed matter using the paper.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of manufacturing and studying various paints mainly composed of pearl pigments and adhesives, the present inventors applied a paint containing pearl pigments of one hue and dried them on the coating layer. So Hues that are complementary to each other When the paint containing the pearl pigment was applied, the hue of the lower coating layer was concealed and the hue of the paint applied on top was visually recognized. As a result of investigations based on this phenomenon, the present inventors have completed the present invention.
[0010]
That is, the anti-counterfeit paper of the present invention will be described with reference to the reference numerals in FIG. 4. A

Also According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an anti-counterfeit printed matter by forming a print layer in which predetermined items are printed on such an anti-counterfeit paper.
[0013]
In the present invention, it is also possible to coat starch, polyvinyl alcohol, various surface sizes and the like on the paper surface in the course of paper making with a size press device or the like. Further, if necessary, a machine calendar process or a super calendar process is performed to improve the surface smoothness as appropriate.
[0014]
In addition, other forgery prevention means can be given to the base paper used in the present invention in advance. For example, known counterfeiting such as filling, dyeing fibers, ultraviolet fluorescent coloring fibers that emit visible light in the ultraviolet or infrared, infrared fluorescent coloring fibers, ultraviolet fluorescent coloring particles, infrared fluorescent coloring particles, and thread incorporation. Prevention means can be applied to the base paper. Thereby, the forgery prevention effect can be further enhanced.
[0015]
As the pearl pigment used in the present invention, any of known pearl pigments such as natural pearl essence, mica powder, titanium oxide-coated mica powder, basic carbonate, and fish scale foil can be used. These production methods are disclosed in JP-B-35-5367, JP-B-39-28885, JP-B-48-23179, JP-B-47-29569, JP-B-53-47375, JP-B-56-36969, and JP-B-58. [0016]
Some pearl pigments emit an iris color whose hue changes with the viewing angle. That is, for example, an iridescent pearl pigment that appears red under irregularly reflected light can be visually recognized as bluish green pearl luster that has a complementary color relationship with red under regular reflected light. Further, in the case of an iris pearl pigment that looks bluish green under irregularly reflected light, the red pearl luster that is its complementary color is visible under regular reflected light. Here, in the case of light, complementary color refers to the relationship between two colors that become achromatic when mixed, and corresponds to the colors on the opposite sides of the Munsell hue ring. Examples are blue-green for red and yellow-green for purple. It is particularly preferable to use a pearl pigment that emits such an iris color for the pearl pigment used in the present invention, since the effect of preventing forgery can be enhanced.
[0017]
The adhesive used in the present invention consists of an aqueous starch solution, an alkali-cut casein aqueous solution, a styrene-butadiene copolymer latex, a methyl methacrylate-butadiene copolymer latex, a polyvinyl acetate emulsion, a polyacrylate emulsion, or the like. Water-based adhesives, phenolic resins, alkyd resins, petroleum resins, vinyl resins, polyamide resins, acrylic resins, nitrocellulose, cyclized rubber, chlorinated rubber, etc. Can be used.
[0018]
The higher the pearl pigment usage ratio, the higher the pearly luster will be, but the surface strength will be insufficient. Usually, the adhesive is 50 to 500 parts per 100 parts of the pearl pigment. At this time, auxiliary materials such as water-proofing agents, curing agents, colorants, viscosity modifiers, antiblocking agents, antiseptics, and antifungal agents are appropriately used in the coating liquid as long as the object of the present invention is not impaired. As a result, the coating layer 2 (coating liquid C) appears black. It was clearly distinguishable from the real one.
[0048]
【The invention's effect】
As can be seen from the above description, the anti-counterfeit paper and the anti-counterfeit printed matter of the present invention have the following remarkable effects.
[0049]
1) The pearl luster and hue of the coating layer containing pearl pigments formed on the paper cannot be reproduced even if copying is attempted with a color copier or scanned with a color scanner and output with a color printer. It is possible to immediately determine whether or not the forgery has been made.
[0050]
2) Since the pearl pigment is a gentle color, there is no sense of incongruity compared with the anti-counterfeit paper using the metallic color glitter plate.
[0051]
3) Since the coating layer can be formed on the paper by printing technology, it can be used for the production of small lots.
[0052]
4) The papermaking fibers can be easily recovered from the used paper.
[0053]
5) Since the coating liquid containing the pearl pigment has an excellent concealing property, the hue of the lower coating layer can be obtained by partially overcoating the different coating layer of the upper layer on the lower coating layer. Can be concealed. As a result, various designs combining two hues can be easily printed on paper without requiring high accuracy in pattern alignment, etc., as in the case of forming a design by coating two hue coating layers separately. It can be formed on the surface.
[0054]
6) When two kinds of iris pearl pigments whose hues are complementary to each other are used for the two coating layers, the hue is reversed when observing under specular reflection light and when observing under irregular reflection light. Therefore, not only the design effect but also the forgery prevention effect can be enhanced.
[0055]
7) By adding an ultraviolet fluorescent substance, an infrared fluorescent substance, an ultraviolet absorbing substance, or an infrared absorbing substance to the coating layer, it is possible to provide a forgery-preventing paper or a forgery-preventing printed matter that has a further improved anti-counterfeit effect.
[0056]
8) Taking advantage of such characteristics, the anti-counterfeit paper of the present invention is suitably used for check paper, stock certificate paper, bond paper, banknote paper, gift certificate paper, passport paper, various ticket papers, boarding tickets, voting paper, etc. it can.
