Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an applicator such as a line marker or a felt pen. The applicator of the present invention can also be applied to a correction tool.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As an applicator for applying ink or the like to paper or writing characters, etc. S. P. A structure disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 5615963 and a structure disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-79787 are known.
[0003]
The former U.I. S. P. The applicator disclosed in US Pat. No. 5,615,963 stores liquid ink in an ink tank, and further includes a valve mechanism and a nib tip. Then, by pushing the pen tip, the valve mechanism is opened, and the ink in the ink tank is soaked into the pen tip. Then, ink is oozed from the nib tip.
[0004]
On the other hand, in the latter applicator disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-79787, a batting is arranged in the main body, and ink is soaked into the batting. A nib tip is attached to the tip of the main body, and ink is oozed out from the nib tip. In any of the configurations described above, the applicator has a main body portion and a nib tip. A coating liquid such as ink is stored in the main body, and a pen tip for allowing the coating liquid to ooze out is attached to the tip of the main body via a chip holding part.
[0005]
Here, in the prior art, a flammable general-purpose synthetic resin is used as a material for the chip holding portion. In many cases, the ink stored in the main body of the applicator contains a combustible solvent such as alcohol or ether.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the prior art applicator having the structure as described above, when the built-in ink or the like is flammable, the nib tip is exposed to the outside air not only during the writing work but also during the writing work, and is flammable. Solvent is released. Therefore, if there is fire in the vicinity, there is a risk of flamming the flammable solvent that has exuded and volatilized from the nib tip. In some cases, the child may ignite the nib tip.
[0007]
When the solvent emitted from the nib tip ignites, not only does the solvent burn, but the heat makes the resin that makes up the nib tip reach the temperature of the flammable region. Strengthen. In the prior art applicator, the tip holding part is made of a flammable resin, so that the tip of the tip burns to the tip holding part and finally spreads to the coating liquid inside the main body via the tip holding part. , It will be a considerably large combustion. As a result, there was a concern that the fire would burn into the indoor curtains and carpets, resulting in a fire.
[0008]
On the other hand, there is a flame retardancy evaluation test (Japanese Industrial Standard JIS A1321) as a standard for evaluating the flame retardance, and in recent years, the application of the ACMI standard as an international standard is spreading in Japan. None of the applicators using resin for the parts passed the above-mentioned JIS and ACMI standards.
[0009]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve the problems of conventional applicators, and to provide a low-cost and simple applicator with high safety and low risk of fire spread even if the nib tip is lit.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
And invention of
[0011]
As long as a flammable solvent is used for ink or the like, it is inevitable that the nib tip burns. However, in the applicator of the present invention, since a flame-retardant resin is adopted as the material of the tip holding portion that holds the nib tip, the fire that ignites the nib tip is stopped by the tip holding portion and the tip holding Do not spread to the back of the part. Therefore, in the applicator of the present invention, although the nib tip is ignited, the fire does not burn into the ink of the main body.
[0012]
Here, the oxygen index is an index obtained by quantifying the level of flame retardancy, and is defined in Japanese Industrial Standards: JIS K7201. That is, the oxygen index is defined as “percentage value of the minimum concentration of oxygen necessary for continuing the combustion of the test material for a certain time”. Therefore, if the oxygen index of the test material exceeds 21, the flammability in normal air becomes poor, and the flame retardance of the test material increases as the oxygen index increases.
[0013]
In the study by the present inventors, in the case of an applicator using a normal flammable ink, the oxygen index of the resin used for the chip holding part of the applicator is 30 in order to pass the above JIS and ACMI standards. That's enough.

The solvent may be mixed with a nonflammable solvent such as water.
[0024]
Also in the applicator of the present invention, the chip is formed of a resin in which an inorganic metal compound or the like is blended by 15% by weight or more. Therefore, the applicator of the present invention has high flame retardance of the chip holding part.
And in the applicator of the present invention, since a flame-retardant resin is adopted as the material of the tip holding portion that holds the nib tip, the fire that ignites the nib tip is stopped by the tip holding portion, and the tip holding portion Do not spread to the far side.
[0025]
Furthermore, the invention according to
[0026]
In the applicator of the present invention, since a flame-retardant resin having an oxygen index of 30 or more is adopted as the material of the tip holding portion that holds the tip of the nib, the fire that ignites the tip of the nib is caused by the tip holding portion. It is stopped and does not spread beyond the tip holding part. In particular, in the applicator of the present invention, the solvent of the coating solution is alcohol, ether or ketone, and the thermal power when the solvent is burned is not so strong. There is no melting. Also, it is easy to make a nib tip.

[0036]
The amount of the inorganic metal compound or glass fiber to be blended in the resin is arbitrary, and should be determined in consideration of flame retardancy and moldability, but is preferably 15% by weight or more and 50% by weight or less. That is, when the amount of the inorganic metal compound or the like blended in the resin is less than 15% by weight, the effect of improving the flame retardancy is poor. If the amount of the inorganic metal compound or the like to be blended with the resin exceeds 50% by weight, the moldability is lowered.

【The invention's effect】
Since the applicator of the present invention uses a flame-retardant resin as a material for the tip holding part, the tip of the pen tip is caused by some fire source when the applicator is used and when the cap is forgotten to be closed. Even when ignited, combustion stops at the tip of the nib tip, and the effect of preventing the spread of damage can be prevented. Thus, the applicator of the present invention is highly safe.
[0059]
Moreover, since the resin used for the applicator of the present invention is widely available and easy to process, the applicator of the present invention is suitable for mass production, and the increase in production cost is small compared to conventional products.
