Description
アレイは、検体及び環境の物理的及び化学的特性に応答するいろいろな化学的試薬を含有する。ある場合には、このセンサースポットアレイは、光学ドライブからの刺激(すなわち、光)の際に触媒され反応し始める化学的試薬を含有する。
試薬フィルムを、予備成形されたフィルム上に固定化し、試験スポットを大量に(in mass)生成させ、次いで対象とする流体に曝露する前にディスクの選択領域に配置した。
アルコール系溶媒に分散したカーボンブラックを、試験スポットが異なる吸収レベルを有するように濃度を減少させながら光ディスク上に固定化した。吸収性フィルムの吸収のレベルは光ディスク上のスポット当たりカーボンブラック顔料の量で与えられた。この光ディスクを光学ドライブ(Pioneer DVD Drive、Model 115)でスクリーニングした。図4Aに示すような予備成形された透明プラスチック円形フィルム(CD Protective Film Model CLR−33)を、ディスク全体の上に配置した。このフィルムを、図4Bに「X」で示されているようにフィルム(CD Protective Film Model CLR−33)に備えられた接着剤を用いてフィルムの内側端で接着した。
pH試薬のブロモクレゾールグリーンを機械的固定化によりポリ(2−ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート)フィルム中に固定化して、試験スポットを大量に生産させた後、アンモニア蒸気に曝露する前にディスクの選択領域上に配置した。従って、各フィルムではポリ(2−ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート)ポリマー支持体中に試薬が組み込まれていた。このフィルムは、ポリ(2−ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート)ポリマーを1−メトキシ−2−プロパノールに適当なポリマー濃度で溶解させることによって形成した。センサー試薬の固定化後、フィルムをディスクの所定の領域上に配置した。
水中でNH4 +のようなイオン性種を検出するために、異なるpH染料を含有する薄いフィルム領域をDVD表面上に生成した。これらの染料は、ブロモクレゾールグリーン(Aldrich、11,435−9)、ブロモフェノールブルー(Nuritional Biochemicals、12−238)、及びブロモクレゾールパープル(Aldrich、86,089−1、90%染料含量)であった。染料をAldrichから購入したNafionポリマー溶液に溶解した。この染料−Nafion溶液をDVD上に付着させた。室温で溶媒を蒸発させた後、フィルムをオーバーコートで被覆した。このオーバーコートはTeflon AF 2400フィルムであった。このオーバーコートフィルム組成物は、Teflon AF 2400(DuPont)をFluorinert 75溶媒(3M)に溶解させることによって製造した。フィルムの初期信号を測定した後ディスクを0.001モル/リットルのNH4 +溶液に曝露した。溶液から取り出した後、ディスクを再び測定した。NH4 +に曝露した前後のセンサーフィルムのセンサー信号の変化が図10に示したように観察された。観察された信号変化は黄色から青色への色変化、及びDVDレーザーの波長におけるそれぞれの吸収増大に関連していた。

- 基板として使用する光学記憶媒体(10)を選択し、
ポリ(アニリン)、ポリ(チオフェン)、ポリ(ピロール)、ポリ(アセチレン)、ポリ(アルケン)、ポリ(ジエン)、ポリ(アクリル)、ポリ(メタクリル)、ポリ(ビニルエーテル)、ポリ(ビニルチオエーテル)、ポリ(ビニルアルコール)、ポリ(ビニルケトン)、ポリ(ハロゲン化ビニル)、ポリ(ビニルニトリル)、ポリ(ビニルエステル)、ポリ(スチレン)、ポリ(アリーレン)、ポリ(オキシド)、ポリ(カーボネート)、ポリ(エステル)、ポリ(無水物)、ポリ(ウレタン)、ポリ(スルホネート)、ポリ(シロキサン)、ポリ(スルフィド)、ポリ(チオエステル)、ポリ(スルホン)、ポリ(スルホンアミド)、ポリ(アミド)、ポリ(尿素)、ポリ(ホスファゼン)、ポリ(シラン)、ポリ(シラザン)、ポリ(ベンズオキサゾール)、ポリ(オキサジアゾール)、ポリ(ベンゾチアジノフェノチアジン)、ポリ(ベンゾチアゾール)、ポリ(ピラジノキノキサリン)、ポリ(ピロメリトイミド)、ポリ(キノキサリン)、ポリ(ベンズイミダゾール)、ポリ(オキシインドール)、ポリ(オキソイソインドリン)、ポリ(ジオキソイソインドリン)、ポリ(トリアジン)、ポリ(ピリダジン)、ポリ(ピペラジン)、ポリ(ピリジン)、ポリ(ピペリジン)、ポリ(トリアゾール)、ポリ(ピラゾール)、ポリ(ピロリジン)、ポリ(カルボラン)、ポリ(オキサビシクロノナン)、ポリ(ジベンゾフラン)、ポリ(フタリド)、ポリ(アセタール)、ポリ(無水物)、炭水化物、及び以上のもののモノマー構成成分のコポリマーからなる群からポリマー支持体を選択し、
検体特異的試薬をポリマー支持体に添加してセンサーフィルム(70)を形成し、
センサーフィルムを検体に曝露し、
センサーフィルム(70)を検体に曝露した後センサーフィルムを光学記憶媒体(10)に取り付けてセンサーデバイスを生成させる
ことを含んでなる、センサーデバイスの製造方法。 - 検体特異的試薬が、有機染料、無機染料、ナノ結晶、ナノ粒子、量子ドット、有機フルオロフォア、無機フルオロフォア、IR吸収性染料、近赤外吸収性物質、UV吸収性染料、フォトクロミック染料、及びサーモクロミック染料からなる群から選択される、請求項1記載の方法。
