Description
In the present invention, the filtration function of a filter for removing inclusions and purifying the molten metal provided in a melting and holding furnace that melts a material such as a casting and holds it as a molten metal, or a molten metal holding furnace that holds a molten metal is lowered. When it comes to methods for recovering this.
In recent years, in die casting, in order to improve the quality of a cast product, high quality is required for a molten metal such as an aluminum alloy as a material.
As a process to ensure the quality of the molten metal, the molten metal is filtered with a ceramic sintered filter formed of refractory particles, and inclusions such as oxides in the molten metal are removed (deinclusion process). There is. In addition, there is a process (degassing process) for removing hydrogen gas in the molten metal by stirring the molten metal or bubbling bubbles into the molten metal.
Techniques for performing these processes are disclosed, for example, in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2 below.
In the technique described in Patent Document 1, a melting and holding furnace is formed with a first holding chamber for melting metal and holding a molten metal, and a second holding chamber having a pumping port for pumping the molten metal, A filter for purifying the molten metal is provided between the one holding chamber and the second holding chamber, and an inclusion floating separator for performing stirring of the molten metal and bubbling of the purifying gas is provided in the first holding chamber. Furthermore, in order to suppress the flow of the molten metal directly from the inclusion floating separator to the filter, a partition is provided in front of the filter.
In the technique described in Patent Document 1, since the molten metal before filtration is processed by the inclusion removal device, the load on the device increases, so that the life of the device is shortened and frequent maintenance of the device is performed. There is a risk that it may become necessary.
Further, when the furnace is not provided with the inclusion removal device as described above, inclusions K such as oxides are deposited and adhered to the surface of the
In the technique described in Patent Document 2, the degassed molten metal passes through the filter, but it is not possible to remove oxides or the like adhering to the filter surface. It does not lead to solving the problem that the function is degraded.
Therefore, in the present invention, in view of the above prior art and problems, in the melting and holding furnace that melts the casting material and holds it as a molten metal, and in the molten metal holding furnace that holds the molten metal, the filtration function reduced by inclusions deposited and adhered to the filter We propose a method to recover.
The problem to be solved by the present invention is as described above. Next, means for solving the problem will be described.
That is, in claim 1, in a melting holding furnace or a molten metal holding furnace that melts a casting material and holds it as a molten metal, inclusions deposited and adhered to a filter provided for inclusion filtration processing are contained in the molten metal. The supplied bubbles are collided to separate or crush inclusions, and the inclusions rise as the bubbles rise, and the bubbles from the position facing the surface on which the inclusions of the filter are deposited and adhered , is that supplied to impinge on the surface of the filter.
In Claim 2, the said bubble is supplied in a molten metal from a bubble supply body, the said bubble supply body is made into the refractory porous body connected to the gas supply means, and the gas supplied from the gas supply means is made into a fireproof property. It is supplied into the molten metal through the porous body.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, the bubbles are made of an inert gas.
As effects of the present invention, the following effects can be obtained.
In claim 1, inclusions deposited or adhered to the surface of the filter are separated or crushed, and inclusions separated or crushed along with rising bubbles are lifted and removed in the molten metal. It is possible to restore the filter function of the filter which has been lowered by the inclusions deposited or adhered to the surface.
According to the second aspect, the bubbles generated from the bubble supply body can be made into fine bubbles.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the inclusion removal process and the degassing process can be performed by the bubbles emitted from the bubble supply body.

FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a state of a filter having a reduced filtration function.
First, the structure of a melting and holding furnace that employs the method for suppressing a decrease in filtration function of a fire-resistant porous filter (hereinafter referred to as a filter) according to the present invention will be described. However, in the present embodiment, a melting and holding furnace for melting and holding the molten metal is used, but instead, a molten metal holding furnace for holding the molten metal in a molten state can be used.
As shown in FIG. 1, the melting and holding
The first chamber is a

In the melting and holding

These filters 20 (20a and 20b) are means for filtering the molten metal M. As shown in FIG. 6, inclusions K are deposited (or adhered) on the surface of the
As described above, it is known that the inclusions K and the like deposited on the surface of the

FIG. 2 shows a filtration function recovery mechanism. In the melting and holding
A
The gas supply means 22 is connected to the
An inert gas such as argon or nitrogen gas can be used as the processing gas supplied from the gas supply means 22 to the
Further, the gas supply means 22 is controlled by the control means 23.
In the present embodiment, a valve provided between the gas supply means 22 and the
Although the supply of the bubbles B can be performed intermittently, the flow rate of the molten metal M formed by the bubbles B is expected to reduce the filtration rate of the molten metal M in the
The predetermined interval can be determined based on, for example, the time that has elapsed since the
In the filtration function recovery mechanism having the above-described configuration, after the bubbles B supplied into the molten metal M from the
By repeating the operation of removing the inclusions K deposited or adhered to the surface of the
Further, the operation efficiency can be improved by extending the filter replacement cycle.
Further, by mixing the processing gas bubbles B and the molten metal M, the hydrogen gas in the molten metal M is diffused and removed, and the inclusions K can be floated and separated.
Thus, the effect of the removal and floating separation of inclusions K accumulated in the

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, as a filtration function recovery mechanism, stirring means 26 that stirs the molten metal M around the
In the above-described configuration, the inclusion K deposited or attached to the surface of the
Next, an example of a result obtained by comparing the melting and holding furnace provided with the filtration function recovery mechanism and the melting and holding furnace not provided with the filtration function recovery mechanism will be described.
The experimental conditions are as follows.
The melting and holding
The molten metal M is filtered through two types of filters having different material shapes. The
In the melting and holding furnace provided with the filtration function recovery mechanism, the
Further, in the melting and holding furnace not provided with the filtration function recovery mechanism, the processing gas is not supplied, and the other conditions are the same as those of the melting and holding furnace provided with the filtration function recovery mechanism.
The results obtained by experimenting under the above conditions are shown in the chart shown in FIG. In this chart, the vertical axis represents the flow rate of the molten metal M that passes through the filter, and the horizontal axis represents the number of days that have elapsed.
It can be seen that in the melting and holding furnace equipped with the filtration function recovery mechanism, the molten metal passage speed is maintained for a long period of one month or more, and the filtration performance of the filter is maintained. On the other hand, in the melting and holding furnace not equipped with the filtration function recovery mechanism, it can be seen that the molten metal passage speed decreases in about one month until saturation, and the filtration performance of the filter is deteriorated.
From the above, it is clear that the filter passing speed of the molten metal M can be maintained over a longer period of time by providing the filtration function recovery mechanism.
