【0001】
【0028】
マイクロコンピュータ20は、図示されていないCPU(Central Processing Unit)と、データのワークエリアとして機能したり必要な演算結果を一時的に記憶するRAM(Random Access Memory)と、ルーチン処理を実行するプログラムや複数のテーブルが記憶されているROM(Read Only Memory)と、によって構成されている。
【0029】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an environmental risk calculation apparatus, and more particularly to an environmental risk calculation apparatus suitable for use in driving assistance for a driver by determining the risk of an external environment of a vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention]
In Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 7-65295, the driving environment of a vehicle is accurately recognized by various detection elements, a potential risk is determined based on primary and secondary risks, and a driver is alerted according to the potential risks. A potential risk detection device (hereinafter referred to as “
[0003]
[0004]
Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 6-215300 proposes a driving situation warning device (hereinafter referred to as “Prior Art 2”) that gives a warning according to the driver's intention and the running situation of the vehicle. The prior art 2 focuses on detecting the position of the obstacle, and further estimates the driver's driving intention based on the steering wheel operation and the vehicle speed. Then, the related art 2 predicts an area where a dangerous object may exist based on the detected road environment and the estimated intention of the driver, and confirms whether there is an obstacle in the predicted area. Alarms are given as necessary.
[0005]
However, since the conventional technique 2 handles and detects pedestrians, vehicles and other obstacles in the same way, and only issues an alarm based on physical quantities such as the moving speed, distance and size of the obstacles, it predicts an actual accident. There is a problem that cannot be done.
[0006]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 6-144129 proposes a warning assistance device (hereinafter referred to as “
[0007]
The present invention has been proposed in order to solve the above-described problems, and recognizes various environments around the vehicle, and comprehensively assesses the risk of an environment that may cause an accident while the driver has a margin. It is an object of the present invention to provide an environmental risk calculation device that can be calculated from a general viewpoint.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to
[0009]
In the first aspect of the present invention, the environment recognition means corresponds to, for example, a predetermined image processing performed on the captured image to extract an object, or an object recognition process by a radar. Here, the object is a vehicle Forward of An object that may cause an accident. Examples of the types of objects include people, two-wheeled vehicles, automobiles, and the like. The risk level calculation means calculates the risk level according to the type of the target object in consideration of the risk of an accident for each type of target object. The risk level output means is not particularly limited as long as it can alert a person, and it is sufficient to stimulate the human senses according to the risk level. In particular, it is preferable to output images and sounds. As a result, the degree of danger corresponding to the type of the object is calculated in consideration of characteristics such as the possibility of an accident of the object, so that the driver can be alerted and a traffic accident can be prevented.
[0011]
Pa The parameter storage means stores a risk parameter for each type of object, and further stores a risk parameter for each attribute of the object. As the attribute of the object, for example, the direction, speed, size, position, and the like of the object are preferable. The risk level calculation means uses not only the characteristics of the target object but also the current attributes of the target object by using the risk parameter corresponding to the type of target object recognized by the environment recognition means and the attribute of the target object. In view of the above, it is possible to calculate the degree of risk corresponding to the type of the object more accurately.
[0012]
Claim 2 The described invention is claimed. 1 In the described invention, the type of object Related to the possibility of incentives A receiving unit that receives at least one of a risk parameter and a risk parameter of an attribute of an object, and a parameter that writes the risk parameter received by the reception unit into the parameter storage unit and updates the risk parameter Updating means.
[0013]
Claim 2 In the described invention, since the environment around the vehicle changes every moment depending on time, weather, construction, etc., the degree of danger corresponding to the type of object in the environment may also change. Therefore, the parameter update means can always update the risk parameter by writing the risk parameter received by the reception means to the parameter storage means and performing parameter update processing. Thereby, the risk level calculation means can always calculate the risk level according to the type of the object accurately even when the environment changes due to the use of the latest risk level parameter.
[0014]
[0015]
In the invention described in
[0016]
The position detection means is not particularly limited as long as the current position can be detected, and the current position may be detected using a geomagnetic sensor, a gyrocompass, a beacon, or the like in addition to GPS (Global Positioning System). The vehicle running state detecting means detects, for example, a steering angle and a vehicle speed as the vehicle running state. The vehicle position estimation means estimates the vehicle position after a predetermined time based on the current position detected by the position detection means and the vehicle running state detected by the vehicle running state detection means. As the vehicle position after the lapse of a predetermined time, for example, the next intersection, a curve or intersection with poor visibility, and the like are preferable.
[0017]
The risk degree calculation means reads map data based on the vehicle position after the lapse of a predetermined time estimated by the vehicle position estimation means, and reads and reads the risk parameter of the object included in the read map data. The risk level corresponding to the object is calculated based on the determined risk level parameter. Thereby, the risk according to the type of the object in the environment around the vehicle after a predetermined time has elapsed is predicted.
[0018]
The risk level output means is not particularly limited as long as it can alert a person, and it is sufficient to stimulate the human senses according to the risk level. In particular, it is preferable to output images and sounds.
[0019]
This not only calculates the degree of danger according to the type of object in consideration of characteristics such as the possibility of an accident of the object, but also according to the type of object in the environment around the vehicle after a predetermined time has elapsed. Since the degree of danger can be predicted and the driver can be alerted, the driver can be made aware of where to pay attention and when to drive carefully.

[0030]
As shown in FIG. 2, the object parameter table is composed of object types (categories), sub-classification of each type of object, and risk parameters for each sub-classification. The risk parameter refers to a value related to the possibility of accident incentives, for example, a value obtained in consideration of accident statistics, insurance premium calculation data, driving norm data, and the like.
[0031]
Examples of the types of objects include pedestrians, two-wheeled vehicles, and automobiles. The subcategories of pedestrians include elderly people, children, junior high school students and adults. Bicycles and motorcycles are classified into two-wheeled vehicles. There are two types of automobiles: ordinary cars and large cars. Elderly persons, children, junior high school students-adults, bicycles, motorcycles, ordinary cars, and large cars are assigned risk parameters t1, t2,.
[0032]
In general, it is considered that the risk decreases in the order of elderly, children, junior high school students-adults, bicycles, motorcycles, ordinary cars, and large cars. That is, the risk level decreases in the order of pedestrians, two-wheeled vehicles, and automobiles. For example, elderly pedestrians have the highest risk level, and large vehicles have the lowest risk level. Therefore, the risk parameter is t1>t2>...> T7.
[0033]
As shown in FIG. 3, the orientation parameter table is composed of the orientation of the object and the risk parameter for each orientation. As the direction of the object, there are orthogonal to the traveling direction of the vehicle, the same direction as the traveling direction of the vehicle, and facing the traveling direction of the vehicle. Risk parameters m1, m2, and m3 are assigned to the orthogonal, the same direction, and the opposite, respectively. Also, the degree of risk decreases in the order of orthogonal, same direction, and facing. Therefore, the risk parameter is m1>m2> m3.
[0034]
As shown in FIG. 4, the speed parameter table is composed of the speed of the object and the risk parameter for each speed. The speed of the object includes high speed, walking speed (for example, around 4 km / h) and stop. Risk parameters s1, s2, and s3 are assigned to high speed, walking speed, and stop, respectively. Moreover, the danger level is low in the order of high speed, walking speed, and stop. Therefore, the risk parameter is s1>s2> s3.
[0035]
As shown in FIG. 5, the size parameter table is composed of the size of the object and the risk parameter for each size. The size of the object is not particularly limited, and risk parameters d1, d2, d3,... Are assigned for each size of the object. It should be noted that a “magnitude” with a high risk level is assigned with a large risk parameter, and a “magnitude” with a low risk level has a low risk parameter.
[0036]
Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the position parameter table is composed of the position of the object and the risk parameter for each position. The position of the object is not particularly limited, and risk parameters p1, p2, p3,... Are assigned for each position of the object. It should be noted that a “position” with a high degree of risk is assigned a risk parameter with a large value, and a “position” with a low degree of risk is assigned a risk parameter with a small value.
