Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a drive device for an electromagnetic actuator, and can be used for driving, for example, an injector (fuel injection valve).
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an electromagnetic actuator driving apparatus that performs initial driving for an electromagnetic actuator using high-voltage charging energy stored in an energy storage capacitor is known. Here, normally, since the capacitor voltage is gradually discharged if it is left after being charged, it is necessary to repeatedly charge at a predetermined timing.
[0003]
On the other hand, if an abnormality occurs in the energy storage capacitor, it will not be possible to boost the voltage sufficiently within a predetermined charging time, and the charging time will be extended, so that not only the capacitor itself but also the surrounding elements will be damaged. Is done. For this reason, with respect to charging of the energy storage capacitor by the DC-DC converter constituting the charge control circuit, charge control is performed in which a lock prevention time is set and stopped after a predetermined time.
[0004]
In other words, in this charge control, the charging of the lock prevention time setting capacitor is started simultaneously with the charging of the energy storage capacitor, and the lock is prevented for a predetermined time until the lock prevention time setting capacitor voltage exceeds a predetermined voltage (threshold voltage). It is set as time. Therefore, when the lock prevention time has passed, the DC-DC converter is stopped, charging to the energy storage capacitor is stopped, and an excessive current is prevented from flowing to the abnormal energy storage capacitor.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above-described charging control, as shown in the time chart of the transition state of various signals in FIG. 3, the IGSW signal is turned on in accordance with the driver's operation of the ignition switch, and the energy storage capacitor reaches the predetermined voltage. Boosting is started (time t21 in FIG. 3). At the same time, boosting of the lock prevention time setting capacitor starts, and when the lock prevention time setting capacitor voltage V ′ exceeds a predetermined voltage (threshold voltage) Vth ′, the DC-DC converter stop signal becomes “Lo (Low)”. To “Hi (High)”, charging to the energy storage capacitor is stopped.
[0006]
However, as described above, even if the energy storage capacitor is normal, the elapsed time from turning on the IGSW signal by the driver's operation to turning on the STA signal for cranking the internal combustion engine by the starter (time in FIG. 3) If the time t21 to the time t31) is long, the energy storage capacitor voltage V drops. In the energy storage capacitor voltage V that has been dropped in this way, as an electromagnetic actuator, for example, when the IJt signal, which is the drive signal for the injector, is input for the first time, there is not enough energy left to drive the injector initially. (Time t32 in FIG. 3). That is, there is a problem that the energy storage capacitor voltage V is too low, and the initial drive of the injector for the first IJt signal due to the STA signal being ON cannot be performed, so that fuel injection is not properly performed.
[0007]
When the IJt signal is input for the first time, the DC-DC converter stop signal changes from “Hi” to “Lo”, the lock prevention time setting capacitor voltage V ′ is discharged, and charging of the energy storage capacitor is resumed. For this reason, from the next input of the IJt signal, the energy storage capacitor can hold sufficient charging energy, and the fuel injection from the injector can be appropriately performed.
[0008]
Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and the initial stage of the electromagnetic actuator immediately after the starter is turned on regardless of the elapsed time from the ignition switch being turned on by the driver's operation to the starter being turned on. An object of the present invention is to provide an electromagnetic actuator driving device that can reliably perform driving.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the electromagnetic actuator driving apparatus of the present invention, when the energy storage capacitor is normal, the energy is increased until the voltage across the lock prevention time setting capacitor that starts boosting simultaneously with the energy storage capacitor exceeds a predetermined voltage. Since the voltage across the storage capacitor reaches the predetermined voltage, the lock prevention time setting capacitor is discharged by the discharge circuit at this time based on the output from the first comparator. At this time, the voltage at both ends of the lock prevention time setting capacitor is always transitioned below a predetermined voltage, and the boost of the energy storage capacitor by the boost switching circuit by the lock prevention time setting circuit remains in an allowable state. The voltage across the capacitor is held near a predetermined voltage. Thereby, the initial drive of the injector immediately after the starter is turned on can be surely executed regardless of the elapsed time from the ignition switch being turned on by the driver's operation to the starter being turned on.
[0010]
On the other hand, when the energy storage capacitor is abnormal, the voltage across the lock prevention time setting capacitor exceeds the predetermined voltage until the voltage across the energy storage capacitor reaches the predetermined voltage. The boosting of the energy storage capacitor by the boosting switching circuit is stopped based on the output from the second comparator. As a result, it is possible to prevent damage to the surrounding elements due to an abnormality in the energy storage capacitor.

On the other hand, the energy storage capacitor C2 that starts boosting when the ignition switch is turned ON is abnormal, and the voltage across the lock prevention time setting capacitor C3 is predetermined until the voltage across the energy storage capacitor C2 reaches the predetermined voltage Vth. When the voltage Vcc2 is exceeded, the DC-DC converter stop signal becomes “Hi”, and the boost of the energy storage capacitor C2 by the boost switching circuit is stopped. As a result, it is possible to prevent damage to the surrounding elements due to an abnormality in the energy storage capacitor C2.
[0026]
In the above embodiment, the charging control of the energy storage capacitor for one injector has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the internal combustion engine is a multi-cylinder engine. In the same manner, charging control can be similarly performed for the energy storage capacitor for the injector of each cylinder. In this case, since it is necessary to cope with the input of each IJt signal to the injector of each cylinder, a considerable number of elements increase with respect to the increased number of cylinders in the conventional charge control circuit. According to the invention, in order to control the increased solenoid coil of the injector, only the elements corresponding to the switching element SW4 and the resistor R5 shown in FIG. 1 need be added, and the increase can be suppressed to a minimum.
