Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire capable of suppressing rapid wear at a tread edge.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, the outer surface of the tread part of a pneumatic tire is composed of a single curvature radius or multiple arcs with different curvature radii in order to properly maintain the contact shape and contact pressure distribution. It is formed in a convex shape so that the radius (distance from the rotation axis) increases toward the surface.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
If the outer surface of the tread portion is formed in a convex shape as described above, the force toward the front in the traveling direction (driving side) is caused in the vicinity of the tire equatorial plane at the time of rolling due to the diameter difference (circumferential length difference) described above. On the other hand, in the vicinity of the tread end, there is a problem in that a force toward the rear side in the traveling direction (braking side) acts on the outer surface of the tread portion, thereby increasing the wear rate at the tread end portion and causing uneven wear. . Here, the above-described wear at the end of the tread is more prominent, particularly when a pneumatic tire is mounted on a driven wheel of a vehicle, because a force toward the rear increases.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, the present inventor has conducted earnest research on the above-mentioned wear generation mechanism at the tread edge, and has obtained the following knowledge. That is, as described above, when a forward force is applied in the vicinity of the tire equatorial plane and a backward force is applied in the vicinity of the tread end, the tread portion is shear-deformed as shown in FIG. Is embedded at the outer side in the width direction of the next wide ply, only one outer end in the width direction of the widest ply is present, or even if there are two or more. When the reinforcing element extending in the circumferential direction is substantially extended, the circumferential shear rigidity of the portion is small, so that it suddenly increases at the tread end, and as a result, a large slip always occurs with the road surface. The wear rate at the end of the tread increases.
[0005]
The present invention has been made on the basis of the above-described knowledge, and an object thereof is to reduce the wear rate at the tread edge and effectively suppress uneven wear.
[0006]
The purpose is to provide a carcass layer extending between the beads in a substantially toroidal shape, a belt layer composed of a plurality of plies arranged radially outside the carcass layer and having reinforcing elements embedded therein, and a radius of the belt layer. In the pneumatic tire provided with the tread rubber disposed on the outer side in the direction, the ply constituting the belt layer overlaps with both outer end portions in the width direction of the ply which is the widest width, and 100% modulus is the tread rubber. Rutotomoni provided hard rubber layer composed of rubber from 3 to 10 times, the hard rubber layer can be accomplished by Rukoto be disposed between the plies is the widest and the carcass layer.
[0007]
Among the plies constituting the belt layer, the outermost ends in the width direction of the ply, which is the widest width, have low shear shear rigidity as described above, but 100% modulus at this part is 3 times or more that of tread rubber. When the hard rubber layers composed of the above are overlapped, the outer end portions in the width direction of the ply which is the widest width are reinforced by the hard rubber layer, and the circumferential shear rigidity at the tread end portion is increased.
[0008]
As a result, when a pneumatic tire rolls, shearing deformation at the tread end is effectively suppressed even if a forward force is applied in the vicinity of the tire equatorial plane and a backward force is applied in the vicinity of the tread end. Thus, the slip between the tread end portion and the road surface is reduced, and the wear rate at the tread end portion is reduced. Furthermore, at this time, shear deformation of the carcass layer can also be reliably suppressed. However, when the hard rubber layer is made of rubber whose 100% modulus is more than 10 times that of tread rubber, strain is concentrated on the outer edge in the width direction of the hard rubber layer when the pneumatic tire is loaded. Cannot be used because of separation.

Next, each of such tires was mounted on a 14.00 × 22.5 rim and filled with an internal pressure of 900 kPa, and then the rim-assembled tire was mounted on a driving wheel of a large bus of the 2-D axis type. After that, the tires traveled 10,000 km on the highway at 80 km / h while applying a load of 49.0 kN to the tires, and measured the amount of wear on the tire equator S and the amount of wear at the tread edge at the end of the run. The difference C (mm) was obtained. At this time, the tread rubber of each tire is peeled off to measure the crack length at the outer end in the width direction of the hard rubber layer, and the length of the crack at the outer end in the width direction of the inner and outer reinforcing plies. The larger value was taken as the crack length N (mm). These results are shown in Table 1 below.
[0032]
[Table 1]
[0033]
From Table 1, when the 100% modulus of the hard rubber layer is more than 3 times that of the tread rubber, the uneven wear resistance can be improved with almost no decrease in the separation resistance, but the 100% modulus is the tread rubber. If it is less than 3 times, uneven wear resistance can hardly be improved. On the other hand, if the 100% modulus exceeds 10 times that of tread rubber, the separation resistance will be greatly deteriorated and it can be put to practical use. It is understood that there is no.
[0034]
Next, a second test example will be described. In this test, the implementation tire 4 provided with a hard rubber layer having a width H of 0.08L, the implementation tire 5 provided with a hard rubber layer having a width H of 0.10L, and the width H of 0.60L. An implementation tire 6 provided with a hard rubber layer and an implementation tire 7 provided with a hard rubber layer having a width H of 0.65 L were prepared. The other specifications of each tire are the same as those of the implementation tire 2.
[0035]
Next, each tire was tested under the same conditions as in the first test example, and the amount of wear on the tire equator plane S and the amount of wear at the tread edge were measured. (Mm) was obtained, and the tread rubber of each tire was peeled off, and the crack length N (mm) similar to the above was measured. These results are shown in Table 2 below.
[0036]
[Table 2]
[0037]
From Table 2, when the width H of the hard rubber layer is in the range of 0.10 L to 0.60 L, the uneven wear resistance can be improved without substantially reducing the separation resistance, but the width H is 0.10 L. It is understood that if it is less than 1, the improvement in uneven wear resistance is not sufficient, and if the width H exceeds 0.60 L, the separation resistance is slightly deteriorated.
[0038]
Next, a third test example is shown. In this test, the implementation tire 8 provided with a hard rubber layer having a distance M of 0.85L, the implementation tire 9 provided with a hard rubber layer having a distance M of 0.90L, and the distance M of 1.20L. An implementation tire 10 provided with a hard rubber layer and an
[0039]
Next, each tire was tested under the same conditions as in the first test example, and the amount of wear on the tire equator plane S and the amount of wear at the tread edge were measured. (Mm) was obtained, and the tread rubber of each tire was peeled off, and the crack length N (mm) similar to the above was measured. These results are shown in Table 3 below.
[0040]
[Table 3]
[0041]
From Table 3, when the distance M is within the range of 0.90L to 1.20L, the partial wear resistance can be improved without substantially reducing the separation resistance, but the distance M is less than 0.90L. It is understood that the uneven wear resistance is not sufficiently improved, and that when the distance M exceeds 1.20 L, the separation resistance is slightly deteriorated.
[0042]
Next, a fourth test example is shown. In this test, as in the tire 1 2 hard rubber layer is provided is 0.03 times the thickness F of the thickness D is the tread rubber, hard rubber layer is provided thickness D is 0.04 times the thickness F as in the tire 1 3 which is, as in the tire 1 4 the thickness D is 0.05 times the thickness F hard rubber layer is provided, the hard rubber layer is provided thickness D is 0.25 times the thickness F as in the tire 1 5 which is, as in the tire 1 6 the thickness D is 0.27 times the thickness F hard rubber layer is provided, the hard rubber layer is provided thickness D of 0.30 times the thickness F Example tires 17 were prepared. The other specifications of each tire are the same as those of the implementation tire 2.
[0043]
Next, each tire was tested under the same conditions as in the first test example, and the amount of wear on the tire equatorial plane S and the amount of wear at the tread edge were measured. While obtaining (mm), the tread rubber of each tire was peeled off, and the crack length N (mm) was measured as described above. These results are shown in Table 4 below.
[0044]
[Table 4]
[0045]
From Table 4, it is understood that when the thickness D is in the range of 0.05 to 0.25 times the thickness F, the uneven wear resistance can be improved with almost no decrease in the separation resistance.
[0046]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the wear rate at the tread edge can be reduced, and uneven wear can be effectively suppressed.
