Description
The present invention relates to a robot control method including a cover at a joint, and a robot.
。 As a method for preventing adhesion of dirt to the robot body and entry of foreign matter, generally, a method of covering the robot body with a cover and isolating the dirt or foreign matter from the robot body can be considered. Therefore, conventionally, a method has been proposed in which a movable part such as a joint part of a robot is covered with a bellows-shaped cover (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
FIG. 8 shows a conventional robot in which a bellows-shaped cover is attached to the joint. As shown in FIG. 8, by covering the joint portion connecting the
However, when the bellows-shaped cover is used, the dirt attached to the bellows fold cannot be easily removed. Further, even when a cylindrical cover made of an elastic material is used, when a concave portion is provided on the cover surface, dirt attached to the concave portion cannot be easily removed. Also, regardless of which cover is used, if the gap between adjacent covers is small, such as when the base joint of each finger mechanism of the multi-finger hand device is covered with a cover, The attached dirt cannot be easily removed.
In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a robot control method and a robot that can easily remove dirt.
In the robot control method according to claim 1 of the present invention, the cover covering the joint is expanded by itself while the joint of the robot is stopped, and the surface of the cover is cleaned by itself when the cover is expanded. It is characterized by doing.
The robot control method according to
The robot control method according to
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided a robot control method according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein the robot position is determined, and the robot exists in a predetermined area. Then, when it is determined, the cover that covers the joint is expanded.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, the robot according to the fifth aspect of the present invention includes a cover that covers a joint portion of the robot, a first control unit that determines an operation state of the joint portion and generates stop information, Inflating means for inflating the cover, a second control unit that determines the expansion state of the cover and generating expansion completion information, and a cleaning means for cleaning the cover surface based on the expansion completion information. Features.
According to the present invention, even if dirt adheres to the surface of the cover that covers the joint portion of the robot in order to prevent the adhesion of dirt or the entry of foreign matter, the dirt can be easily removed.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a main part of a robot according to an embodiment of the present invention, and shows when the cover is being cleaned. FIG. 2 shows an external view of the robot during normal operation. As shown in FIG. 1, the robot includes a cover 1 that covers a joint (not shown) that connects the
This robot is controlled as follows. First, during normal use of the robot body, the cover 1 is arranged as shown in FIG. On the other hand, at the time of cleaning, the expansion / contraction means 4 expands the cover 1 toward the outside of the robot body as shown in FIG. 1, and the cleaning unit 5 cleans the surface of the expanded cover 1. Here, the time of cleaning is specifically when the joint is stopped and the expansion of the cover 1 is completed, and the robot expands the cover 1 while the joint is stopped.
In the present embodiment, the cleaning unit 5, the drive unit 8, the first rotating unit 9, and the second rotating unit serve as cleaning means for cleaning the surface of the cover 1 based on the expansion completion information generated by the second control unit 7. 10 was provided. Here, the cleaning unit 5 has a configuration in which a hair tip (brush unit) is attached to a main body unit made of an elastic body, and the main body unit deforms following the movement of the joint and the expansion of the cover 1. Further, each end of the main body is connected to the first rotating unit 9 and the second rotating
Further, the drive unit 8 includes a motor as shown in FIG. 3, for example, and a drive-side gear attached to the rotation shaft of the motor with a bearing (not shown) interposed between the first rotation unit 9 and the
The expansion / contraction means 4, the first control unit 6, the second control unit 7, and the drive unit 8 may be attached to the outside or the inside of the robot body. Considering that the control unit 6, the second control unit 7, and the drive unit 8 are precision devices, it is preferable to attach them inside the robot body. Moreover, the shape at the time of contraction of the cover 1 which covers a joint part is not restricted to a bellows shape as shown in FIG. 2, For example, a cylindrical shape etc. may be sufficient.
Here, as an example of a method for expanding and contracting the cover, a case where a fluid such as air pressure, water pressure, or hydraulic pressure is used will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5 are diagrams showing an example of an optimum structure for expanding and contracting the cover using the pressure of the fluid. 4 and 5 do not show the cleaning unit 5, the second control unit 7, the drive unit 8, and the like.
As shown in FIG. 4, the cover 1 has a sealed two-layer structure including an inner
Here, the outer
In FIG. 4, the first cover (inner layer) 1 a that covers the joint portion has a cylindrical shape, but may have a bellows shape. When the
The expansion / contraction means 4 allows the gas or liquid to flow into and out of the cover 1 (between the
According to this robot, when the pressure is reduced by reducing the amount of gas or liquid, the two layers are caught, and the cover 1 is almost in the shape of the
Therefore, even when the concave portion is provided in the cylindrical first cover (inner layer) 1a covering the joint portion, the second cover (outer layer) 1b is moved to the outside of the robot body by the expansion / contraction means 4 during cleaning. When the
Next, the structure for attaching the cover to the robot body will be described with reference to FIG. As shown in FIG. 5, a dent (attachment portion 11) is provided in the robot body, and an end portion of the cover 1 constituted by three layers of the
Here, the case where the cover has a two-layer structure and gas or liquid flows in and out of the cover has been described. However, the above-described one-layer structure using only the outer layer and a sealed structure including the inside of the robot body. As an alternative, the internal pressure may be controlled.
Next, as another method for expanding and contracting the cover, a case where the shape memory alloy is linearly arranged inside or inside the cover 1 will be described with reference to FIGS. In FIG. 6, the cleaning unit 5, the second control unit 7, the drive unit 8, and the like are not illustrated. Further, the cover 1 at the time of expansion is indicated by a solid line, and the cover 1 at the time of contraction is indicated by a broken line. When the robot 1 expands the cover 1, the cover 1 is expanded by controlling the temperature of the shape memory alloy. However, the case where the shape memory alloy is provided inside the cover will be described below, but the same applies to the case where the shape memory alloy is provided inside the cover.
As shown in FIG. 6, in this robot, a plurality of shape memory
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7, for example, inside the cover 1, a shape memory alloy
Further, not only two types of unidirectional shape memory alloys are used, but also one type of bi-directional shape memory alloy may be used. In this case, the shape memory alloy stores two shapes of expansion and contraction depending on the temperature, and energization control is performed so that the temperature causes the shape change. In this case, a device such as a nichrome wire that causes a temperature change by energization may be provided to control energization of the device.
6 and 7, the cover 1 covering the joint portion has a bellows shape when contracted, but it may be a cylindrical shape. The cover 1 is preferably a film-like sheet made of a material that bends flexibly.
In addition, it is preferable that the energization is stopped after the cover is expanded and contracted by energization so that the joint can be deformed by bending and stretching. Moreover, although the thin line of the shape memory alloy is used here, the shape of the shape memory alloy is not limited to this and can be freely set.
In addition, when using the shape memory alloy in this way, the attachment of the cover to the robot main body is provided with a dent (attachment portion) in the robot main body in the same manner as the structure described in FIG. Are attached using mounting brackets such as bolts and nuts so that the surface of the robot main body becomes flat without unevenness of the mounting portion. Further, a hole for connecting the shape memory alloy provided in the cover and the wiring connected to the expansion / contraction means is provided in the attachment portion.
According to the robot control method described above, when a movable part such as a joint part is covered with a bellows-shaped cover when contracted, the cover is contracted so that the bellows can be expanded and contracted with respect to the operation of the movable part. Therefore, it is possible to prevent dirt from adhering to the movable part and entering foreign matter without affecting the operation of the movable part.
Even when the movable part such as a joint part is covered with a cover that becomes cylindrical when contracted, the cover is made of an elastic material, or the action of the movable part is utilized by utilizing the elasticity of the shape memory alloy provided on the cover. Therefore, it is possible to cope with the change in the shape of the cover, and it is possible to prevent dirt from adhering to the joint and entry of foreign matter without affecting the operation of the movable part.
In addition, if the cover itself is contaminated, the cover itself can be inflated to the outside of the robot body, so that the concave portion of the cover itself that makes it difficult to remove the dirt can be eliminated. Can be removed.
Also, even when the gap between adjacent covers is small, such as when the joints at the base of each finger mechanism of a multi-finger hand device are covered, the cover is inflated during cleaning to adhere to the cover. Dirt and foreign matter can be easily removed.
For example, when the robot is controlled to stop when the robot moves into a predetermined region, the first control unit 6 can obtain information obtained by imaging the surroundings of the robot, The position of the robot may be determined based on wheel odometry information and the like, and the cover 1 may be inflated only when it is determined that the robot is in a predetermined area.
The robot control method and the robot according to the present invention can be easily removed even when dirt is attached to the cover covering the joint part, and can be used for housework support robots that perform cleaning, dishwashing, etc. This is useful for robots that perform various production support operations.
