Description
The present invention relates to an anodizing apparatus for a metal workpiece.
In general, the anodizing treatment of metal parts is performed below the surface of the oxidizing electrolytic solution in order to ensure energization. For example, when a part of the surface of an aluminum-based metal workpiece is anodized, a method using a masking material is known in order to secure a portion on which the alumite film is not formed on the surface of the workpiece. Yes. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 07-238396 describes a method in which a masking material made of an elastic material is attached to the surface of an object to be processed and shielded from immersion of an alumite electrolyte. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 07-173672 discloses a general method in which a masking tape is attached to the surface of an object to be processed and sealed, and then the object to be processed is immersed in an electrolytic solution to perform anodization. It is described that there is.
Such a conventional masking method requires the use of a masking material, but requires a process, work, apparatus, and time for attaching or removing the masking material to the surface of the workpiece. For this reason, the productivity of the anodizing treatment for metal parts is deteriorated, and the cost is further increased.
In view of the above points, the present invention provides an anodizing apparatus capable of forming a metal oxide film on a part of a metal part surface that does not use a masking material and does not give up the liquid level interface. With the goal.
Moreover, it aims at providing the anodizing apparatus which can form a metal oxide film more efficiently.
An anodizing apparatus according to the present invention includes a first electrode portion that contacts a metal workpiece having a ring-shaped groove portion on a side peripheral surface and energizes a current, and a jet port facing the groove portion of the workpiece. An electrolyte solution injection means having a nozzle, an electrolyte solution passage means for supplying an electrolyte solution to the ejection port, and ejecting the electrolyte solution from the ejection port to the object to be processed; and the electrolyte solution A second electrode part that is in contact with the electrolyte by constituting at least a part of the passage and energizes the electrolyte, and energization that applies a voltage between the first electrode part and the second electrode part And means.
In the surface anodizing apparatus of the present invention, the ejection port of the non-conductive nozzle of the ejection means is opposed to the surface of the object to be processed. Then, the electrolytic solution is ejected from the ejection port of the non-conductive nozzle of the ejecting means by the electrolytic solution driving means, and at the same time, the workpiece to be in contact with the first electrode portion through the holding means by the energizing means is used as the anode, A voltage is applied between the contacted second electrode part (cathode). The electrolytic solution ejected from the ejection port strikes the surface of the object to be treated, and the second electrode part that contacts the object to be treated and the ejecting means is electrically contacted with the jet flow of the ejected electrolytic solution. The surface of the object to be processed opposite to the nozzle is selectively anodized to form a metal oxide film.
Further, the second electrode portion is installed in contact with the injection means, and a portion in contact with the electrolytic solution is provided in the electrolytic solution passage. For this reason, the surface portion of the material to be processed that comes into contact with the first electrode portion constituting the anode and the second electrode portion constituting the cathode are energized through an electrolyte passage having a nozzle outlet. For this reason, the surface portion of the material to be processed that is anodized with a high current density is limited to the vicinity of the nozzle outlet. Surface portions that do not come into contact with the electrolyte solution far from the jet nozzle are not anodized. Therefore, in the surface anodizing apparatus of the present invention, a metal oxide film can be formed on the target surface portion without using a masking material.
In addition, since a new electrolytic solution is always sprayed from the nozzle to the surface portion of the material to be anodized, the heat generated by energization is effectively cooled by the new electrolytic solution, and the temperature rise of the treated surface portion is limited. It will be. As a result, the object to be processed can be partially and efficiently anodized without causing defects such as a burning phenomenon, and a partial metal oxide film can be formed.
The metal part anodizing apparatus of the present invention does not require the process and cost associated with the use of a masking material, shortens the anodizing process, improves production efficiency, and reduces production cost. Is possible.
An apparatus for anodizing a metal part according to the present invention includes a first electrode portion, an electrolyte solution injection unit, an electrolyte driving unit, a second electrode unit, and an energization unit.
A 1st electrode part is comprised with the conductor which contacts a to-be-processed object.
Since the conductive material requires electrical conductivity, a metal material with good electrical conductivity is preferable.
The object to be processed is made of metal and has a ring-shaped groove on the surface. Specifically, an aluminum alloy piston can be exemplified. Those having a ring-like groove around the outer periphery on the outer surface thereof are preferable, such as a piston, like a piston. Here, the aluminum-based metal includes an aluminum metal and an alloy obtained by mixing other elements such as copper, zinc, and silicon with aluminum. In the piston, it is necessary to form an alumite film on the surface defining the piston ring groove, but the formation of the alumite film is not required in the lower part except the top part of the piston.
The first electrode portion can also serve as a holding means for holding the object to be processed. Furthermore, the holding means can have a rotation drive unit as a rotation means for rotating the workpiece to be held. The rotation driving unit may be configured such that the object to be processed rotates around the axis of the object to be processed. Further, the holding means may have a moving means for moving the object to be processed to, for example, an attachment / detachment position and an electrolytic treatment position.
The electrolyte injection means has a nozzle made of a non-conductive material and having an outlet. In addition, a second electrode portion that constitutes a cathode is electrically connected to the electrolyte solution injection means at a portion in contact with the electrolyte solution. The portion in contact with the electrolytic solution may be a portion that defines an electric fluid passage for passing the electrolytic solution. The injection means may have a base for fixing the nozzle.
The shape of the ejection port can be a shape that matches the surface to be processed of the object to be processed. The shape of the jet outlet is generally circular or elliptical, but a square is also preferable in order to increase the injection efficiency. Further, a plurality of nozzles having jet nozzles can be arranged in a ring shape toward the outer peripheral surface of the workpiece on the centrifugal side centering on the workpiece. The number of nozzles, the number of ejection ports, the size of the ejection ports, and the like can be freely set according to the object to be processed.
The second electrode portion constitutes at least a part of the electrolyte passage and is in contact with the electrolyte. The inner peripheral surface of the second electrode portion becomes a part of the electrolyte passage and communicates with the tip nozzle. In addition, since the second electrode portion requires electrical conductivity, a metal material with good electrical conductivity is preferable.
When an aluminum alloy piston is used as the workpiece, the nozzle outlet diameter is preferably 0.1 to 0.3 mm, and the number of nozzles is preferably 1 to 32. Therefore, since the shape of the nozzle outlet influences the effective cross-sectional area of the flow path of the electrolyte solution in the nozzle, it also affects the flow rate of the electrolyte injected from the nozzle outlet. In order to suppress the flow rate of the electrolytic solution so that it does not scatter when the electrolytic solution is sprayed, a nozzle having a jet port having a larger cross-sectional area can be obtained in accordance with the shape of the portion to be processed. Compared to a nozzle having a circular jet port, the effective cross-sectional area of the jet port formed into a flat jet port in accordance with the surface to be processed is large. For example, the diameter of the jet nozzle of the circular nozzle is 0.2 mm and the effective sectional area is 0.03 mm 2 , whereas the shape of the jet nozzle of the flat nozzle is 0.2 × 40 mm and the effective sectional area is Since it is 8 mm 2 , the effective cross-sectional area of the nozzle is increased about 260 times.
The electrolyte driving means includes a storage tank that stores the electrolyte, an inflow path that connects the storage tank and the electrolyte passage, and a pump that is disposed in the inflow path and delivers the electrolyte from the storage tank to the electrolyte path. Can be configured.
The electrolyte driving means may be provided with cooling means for cooling the electrolyte, temperature control means for controlling the temperature of the electrolyte, and flow rate control means for controlling the flow rate of the electrolyte.
Moreover, it is preferable that the 2nd electrode part is comprised combining the collection container which collects electrolyte solution. The collection container can be configured as part of a storage tank. The collection container collects the electrolytic solution after being sprayed on the object to be processed, and sends it to the electrolytic solution ejecting means. The collection container main body may be a container with an open top or a sealed container depending on the object to be processed. One or a plurality of collection containers can be installed in communication. Since the electrolytic solution often uses a strong acid, the material of the collection container body is preferably made of SUS316 or vinyl chloride. The collection container may be formed integrally with the second electrode part or may be detachable.
The energization means is means for applying a voltage between the first electrode portion and the second cathode portion. This energization means preferably has current control means so that the current density can be adjusted. The current control means includes an ammeter, a voltmeter, a rectifier and the like, and a conventionally known one can be used.
Moreover, it is preferable that the nozzle is formed of a non-conductive material in the portion where the ejection port is formed. Thereby, the electrical short circuit when a nozzle contacts a to-be-processed material can be prevented.
Hereinafter, based on an Example, the anodizing apparatus of this invention is demonstrated in detail. A functional explanatory diagram of the anodizing apparatus of this embodiment is shown in FIG. This anodizing apparatus is for anodizing a piston ring groove W1 of a piston W made of aluminum alloy. More precisely, of the three piston ring grooves W1, W2 and W3 formed from the top to the skirt on the outer peripheral surface of the top of the piston W, the top outer peripheral surface including the piston ring groove W1 on the top side is mainly used as the anode. It is an oxidation treatment.
The anodizing apparatus includes a holding unit 1 that holds a piston W, an
The holding means 1 includes a
Further, when the alumite treatment is performed, the piston W that is the object to be treated is held above the
As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, the electrolytic
The
In this apparatus, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the plurality of
Further, the
The
The electrolytic solution driving means 4 stores the electrolytic solution recovered from the
The energizing means 5 is means for applying a voltage between the
Although the
Further, in order to avoid the possibility of the
The distance between the
Further, in the electrolytic treatment, an alumite film is formed at a location facing the
The rotation of the piston W has the effect of uniformly forming the alumite film. However, if the rotation speed is increased more than necessary, the electrolyte solution is scattered, so the rotation speed is preferably set to 10 to 600 rpm.
Since the
The flow rate of the electrolyte solution sprayed by the
The
Next, the route of the electrolytic solution when anodizing the aluminum-based metal part will be described. The flow rate of the electrolytic solution cooled in the

In the comparative example, the anodizing treatment was performed by immersing only the tip of the piston, which is the object to be treated, in the electrolytic solution by a conventional method.
Table 1 reveals that an anodizing treatment can be performed at a speed higher than the conventional method of 3.2 μm / min as an anodizing treatment speed by anodizing the tip of an aluminum base metal piston by the apparatus of the present invention. . Moreover, since the alumite treatment is performed by always injecting the cooled electrolyte solution to the tip of the piston, there is no problem such as burning.

In the comparative example, the anodizing treatment was performed by immersing only the tip of the piston, which is the object to be treated, in the electrolytic solution by a conventional method.
According to Table 2, the tip of the aluminum base metal piston tip is anodized by the apparatus of the present invention, a higher current density and voltage can be used than in the conventional method, and a larger cross-sectional area can be obtained by adopting a rectangular injection port. The injection flow rate can be increased. As a result, it is possible to obtain an oxidation treatment rate about 20 times that of the conventional method. Further, in the conventional method, it is necessary to control the electrolyte temperature for effectively cooling the metal oxide film to 0 ° C., whereas in the apparatus of the present invention, the electrolyte temperature is close to the room temperature. It is clear that the temperature has been greatly improved to 15 ° C. That is, the electric power used for the cooling means for cooling the electrolyte can be reduced, and the production cost can be reduced.
The apparatus of the present invention can remove a complicated process that requires masking of a conventional apparatus, and can further improve the efficiency of the production process in the alumite treatment.
